  1. What the hell are you talking about? How short people's memories are. This is a useless arguement because people like you dwell on mistakes and have them over shadow the good a player does. Fact is that every player makes mistakes. Besides the one play with Berrian when Tillman was in zone and appearantly had to account for two guys, name one blown coverage by Tillman yesterday. (This isn't counting the horse collar penalty)
  2. I really don't care about any of that stuff. If we have the chance to get Brian Orakpo, you pull the trigger. I am with you on offense first, but Orakpo is a great football player. He has a tremendous work ethic and is simply a stud in the weight room. And unlike a lot of workout warriors, Orakpo is also an excellent football players and just shows such good ability on the field. We won't be picking in the top 5 where Orakpo will likely go, but if he for some reason fell to us, I don't care what school he went to, you better pull the damn trigger.
  3. God, why do people constantly think it's a good idea to move Tillman to FS? Right now, he is one of the better corners in the league, likely top 15. Why would you want to sacrifice that for a FS? Does not make any sense at all.
  4. http://adamjt13.blog.com/2813029/ That guy has probably discovered the formula for what the comp picks are, and he is crazy accurate every year. I have only skimmed through it, but if you want to study his reasoning, be my guest. Basically it goes by which UFA's you lost, and which ones you gain. I do not believe we signed any UFA's, and any of the UFA's we did sign were either only with the team for a short period or do not earn enough money to qualify (someone correct me if I'm wrong on this). Also, a factor is the money, and in 07 the least amount a 3rd round comp player signed for war 6.05 million per year. If I am correct, Berrian is earning an average of about 7 million or so per year, if not more. Other factors include playing time, playoffs, and any accolades that player receives. Also, it doesn't matter what role a player did on his prior team if he falls into these categories. So, I say it's very, and I mean very, likely that we get a 3rd round comp. for Berrian, a 7th for Ayanbadejo, and another 7th rounder for Gilmore.
  5. We're getting a 3rd for Berrian, that's almost a guarantee. He is on pace for over 1,000 yards, is averaging 21 ypc, and will have probably 7-8 TD's. That's at least a 4th rounder with a very likely chance for a 3rd rounder.
  6. It's a shame that we play with the least amount of heart we have all season vs. our biggest foes in the division. So sickening.
  7. Give me the Duke. Also, from watching our games this year, FS is as big of a need as either WR or DE, IMO.
  8. Tillman makes his share of mistakes, but he's still one of the better corners in the league, and he always plays with some heart, which is a lot more then what some of our players could say. So quickly how everyone forgets about that one TD saving tackle Tillman had on AD when he was about to score on the 50+ yard run.
  9. Orton does need some help though. A main reason there were so many picks was because Orton had little time in the pocket, and all of his receiver were blanketed. And when you are down like we were, you gotta force it.
  10. Well, I know this doesn't have anything to do with Tillman, but I am still pissed that we didn't keep Berrian around. He was the closest thing to a no. 1 wide receiver we have had in a long while, and we let him walk to a division rival.
  11. Not sure if he'd want to return, especially if JA is still here. Also, he's likely first in line to replace the likely soon-to-be fired Norv Turner.
  12. Hopefully now we can get a NT who can actually stop the run. I mean if we are going to have a NT who sucks at rushing the passer, shouldn't he at least be good at stuffing the run?
  13. Well, next year will be Lovie and JA's final year to either make a vast improvement or see ya later. I'm kind of hoping for the later because I just don't see Lovie and JA being able to take us to the next level of being a playoff contender year in and year out.
  14. Sadly, the only way we make such a big change is if we get rid of Angelo as well, and that ain't happening. It'd be awesome if we shock the world and do something like the Dolphins did last and sign someone like Parcells to be the head of football operations, have him work hand in hand with the GM of his choice, and go on from there. A very important aspect of having a great football team is having cohesiveness and understanding from the Head Coach to the GM to the upper management or whatever you'd call it.
  15. Don't forget to mention we need a whole new coaching staff as well. Games like these are clear indicators that Lovie, and all the coaches for that matter, don't have the team on their side. When your team plays like heartless peices of crap for the most part, especially in big divisional games like tonight and vs. Green Bay, you know you need to make a change. How about we get a coach who actually has some passion, will motivate the players once in a while, and not stand on the sidelines with the deer in the headlights stare.
  16. I don't mind St. Clair at all, and he is a solid player, but after getting completely raped up the ass by Allen, Williams should be given a chance at LT.
  17. Well, if Beekman didn't completely whiff on a pull on the 4th down play, we wouldn't be having this discussion right now. The sad part is that Beekman is still leaps and bounds better then Garza right now.
  18. It's a decent play if you actually have a FB who doesn't suck (McKie does not fall into this category, and neither does this Davis bum) and you call it when the D isn't stacking the middle of line defending the short yard run up the middle. My god, why not call the QB sneak there? Jesus christ, 3rd and inches and we try the freakin FB dive? You gotta be shitting me.
  19. If that pathetic goal line attempt by us shows us anything, it shows that Duke Robinson is a must get for us. Pass rush is still a need, but we need someone who can actually get some movement in the middle for us. And yeah, we still need a FB, maybe 2. Sign Weaver, and draft Sutherland in the 5th or 6th. Also, most importantly, get an OC just specifically for goal line/short yardage situations. Turner is a smart offensive mind, but he is makes some of the biggest bonehead calls sometimes, and in goal line/short yardage situations he doesn't have a freakin clue.

Maybe Bennett can get some action tonight.

Lol, did you, Grossman, and Jones have three-ways every other weekend or something? Jones contributes nothing to this team now that Forte has shown he is an every down, every drive back, and Peterson and Wolfe are key contributers on special teams. I don't know if you've noticed, but special teams is a big key for us, and who knows how some of our games would have turned out without Wolfe back there making a couple TD saving tackles.
  22. I hope Jason Davis shows some life. Fullbacks need to be a little crazy and in your face. McKie was quite frankly quite and sucked.
  23. If you all remember correctly, all of Wade, Gage, and Bradley were in the team's doghouse for one reason or another. They showed flashes while playing for us, but because our coaches didn't like something they did, they never got another chance with us. Bobbles Wade for that one day he fumbled 94 punts, Gage when he got the ball stripped from him against the Dolphins in 06, and Bradley for having chronic leg injuries.
  24. I hope he ponies up to sign either Suggs or Peppers. Talk about making an impact signing and instantly fixing our pass rush problems.
