  1. I think it's clear that he has to go. To me, it seems almost as if he has lost the locker room, and that he's been way too soft on the players. Not only were our players getting tossed around like rag dolls today, they showed no emotion and no heart. I place that directly on the HC. It's obvious he hasn't been doing a good job and the D was more successful under Ron Rivera. Change is needed and I'm all for it. While I would fire Lovie and the whole coaching staff, I would keep Angelo for at least 2 more years. As for who I would hire as a replacement for Lovie, it would likely be Cowher (if he wanted to return to the NFL). I like Spagnola, but it looks like he has plans to be the DC for the Giants for at least a few more years. I think getting someone like Cowher in as HC would be greatly beneficial to the team. I think someone like him would be able to take control of the locker room and light a fire under the players asses. He's someone who won't take ****, unlike Lovie, IMO. The only problem with this would be the transition from a 4-3 team to a 3-4 team, but any transition like that would take place between a couple of years. I'd also love to see us get Lane Kiffen as the OC as well... talk about a hell of a coaching staff with Cowher and Kiffen. If we don't make the playoffs this year and pick in the top 15, I want Lovie gone.
  2. more like the whole coaching staff has to go.
  3. He should get fired though, IMO, if we don't make the playoffs. I think he's simply lost the locker room.
  4. REMAINING SCHEDULE: @ Rams - They are not going to be a push over and this game could go either way. Our D probably won't be able to stop their O, so it'd likely be a shoot out, if our offense shows up. I'll give us a W on this one, but it could easily be an L. @ Vikings - I thought this was a game that could go either way and I think they will have the upper hand being at home. I think this will be an L. vs. Jaguars - This is gonna be tough one as well, and I see this game being an L as well. vs. Saints - Man their O is gonna have a field day on us. Another L vs. Packers - If today was any idication, this isn't gonna be fun. L. @ Texans - This is a game we have a chance at, and we seem to always win pointless games, so I give us a W. Final record 7-9, and another top 15 pick. Please let this be the end of Smith and please hire Spagnola! I was thinking Cowher, but I don't see us doing such a dramatic change on D... Ah, who cares, give me the proven guy in Cowher!
  5. My god, that TOP stat shown was pure sickening.
  6. The whole coaching staff should be fired after today, and I hope to never see Maynard in a Bears uni ever again.
  7. You have to expect the O to be able to at least change the field position and they couldn't. And a part of the offense's problem was not having a competent QB. I personally think the D is getting a bad rap for the game on Sunday, and I mainly blame the O.
  8. doesn't matter, he and Grossman both suck....
  9. Maybe Baldwin can show Anderson some moves besides the speed rush.
  10. he did stop arguably the best rushing attack in the NFL, so he can't be doing everything wrong.
  11. I have a question... why did we attempt that field goal in the 4th quarter? We're down by two touchdowns with 9 minutes left or so, and we attempt a field goal? Why??? That was clearly 4 down territory, IMO. Now Grossman would have probably avoided throwing to the wide open receiver and throw the ball to the covered receiver instead, like he did on that other 4th down, but still.
  12. Why do you despise Orton so much? Because he has actually shown traits of an actual QB who doesn't suck? My god, we all make mistakes in our judgment of players/teams/coaches. I was wrong about Benson and freely admit that. But damn dude, what's so tough about admitting you were wrong?
  13. I thought the D played extremely well considering the fact they got no help from the offense for the majority of the game. Hell, in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, the D was practically on the field the whole time.
  14. He is surely leaps and bounds better than Grossman. Bears 88, I think everyone here has realized you are a Grossman fan, not a Bears Fan.
  15. I feel we win today with Orton starting. Besides for two drives, Grossman sucked ass and was the key reason for our loss, IMO.
  16. This will be the make or break game for the D, IMO.
  17. We should sign Leonard Weaver, he's a FA after the season and very expandable for the Seahawks (they have Owen Schmitt as well as T.J. Duckett). Leonard Weaver can do all the things McKie does, but better. He is a much better downhill/short yardage runner, is a great receiver, and he can lay you out when blocking as well.
  18. Every game means something, especially when we are in a tight race with the Packers and Vikings for the division lead. Maybe if we didn't blow the games vs. the Panthers, Bucs, and Falcons, we could stomach one game. However, we lost those games, and IMO, every game from here on out is a must win.
  19. I'd give Manning the start. Steltz made a hell of a play with that INT, but other then that, I was not impressed. I think Manning has really improved his play and should get another shot, even if it's only one game.
  20. If everything I have read is true and the reports are correct, this is nothing more than an ankle sprain. I personally feel Orton should be ready to play on Sunday, and that sprains are something that players always play over.
  21. If he becomes a FA, I'd sign him.
  22. He is scheduled for the MRI tomorrow, so I would say that their report on a month is a bit pre-mature.
  23. Mike Brown was actually having his best game of the season before he got injured.
