  1. I just want to see two things from whoever will be our QB... DON'T TURN THE BALL OVER! and, DON'T BE STUPID! As an offense as a whole, I mainly want to see us minimize 3 and outs.
  2. So, he fumbled 6 times... how many of those 6 were on snaps though? Also, from looking at NFL.com, it says he fumbled 5 times as well.
  3. I think they are being generous with a D...
  4. it depends on who the center is. If a QB works with a center for a long time, it should never happen. However, when you are receiving snaps from a center you are unfamiliar with, it takes some adjusting. The ball comes in perhaps a bit quicker or later than it did with the other guy, and perhaps at a different angle. However, they are inexcusable when they happen in the game. The ones with Grossman during the past seasons were obviously his fault. Anyone with half a brain could see that he was jumpy and pulled out too early. When you have a QB-C combo of Rex and Olin that have worked with each other all through training camp, and the season, they should never, EVER happen!
  5. I personally wanted Brandon Albert, but he is suffering from the injury bug as well and is going to be out until week 1. Right now, it looks like Jeff Otah might have been the best choice, but he didn't really fit what we needed (at the time).
  6. Hopefully Williams gets healthy quick and claims that LT spot. If that happens, we can then move St. Clair to LG, and have a some-what decent line. A left side of the line with St. Clair and Metcalf is just plain scary. Whoever our QB would be better have great instincts to their backside, cause guys would be breaking through all the time.
  7. Beekman has been doing good from what I've heard. I like him better at RG or C, but I think anyone is better than Metcalf at LG... I'm not going to lie, Metcalf is quite possibly the worst offensive lineman we have. He is right up there with Quisam Mitchell in terms of how much they suck.

    DEPTH CHART

    http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2008/08/be...depth_char.html No real surprises, IMO.
  9. Correction, the next Ben Rothlesberger.
  10. Where have I denied making excuses for Benson? I admitted I was wrong about him. Also, I'm glad to see Grossman is "your boy." That makes him highly qualified for a starting job in the NFL.
  11. My favorite Bear is actually HH, Hunter Hillenmeyer. The guy is one of the most underrated players in the league. He does what's asked of him and quietly does his job day in and day out.
  12. The thing I love about this is that if it was Orton getting booed, Bears 88 would find nothing wrong with it. As long as nothing happens to his golden boy Grossman, he doesn't care.
  13. oh, I see, you want everyone to throw their predictions in here, and then in 5 months see who was the smartest? I'll do mine latter.
  14. Browns should be the division winners, they did nothing this offseason but get better. Their D-Line is vastly improved with Shaun Rodgers and Corey Williams, and their offense has seen improvements as well. Also, their special teams unit is probably second to only the Bears.
  15. He deserved to get booed, why would I shed a tear. I was on the side saying that Benson was going to turn it around, which I was obviously wrong about, but I never cried and moaned about him getting booed.
  16. My god, with the way some of you guys are acting, you think this would be some horrible hate crime we are talking about. Professional athletes get booed, all-the-time. It can be in a game, during practice, or just walking down the street. Fans are always critical of the players on their favorite team. If this effects Grossman the one bit, he shouldn't be playing football, or any sport for that matter. Boo-freaking-Hoo, cry me a river.
  17. ZOMG!!! A professional athlete actually got booed? What has the world come to??? Lol, who the freak cares if someone got booed at during practice?
  18. My god, can you get off of Rex's nuts for one day Bears 88? Okay, I get it, you love him. But maybe it's about time we try someone else as our starting QB. I'm not saying Orton is or will be any good, but the man has been earning his change. On a side note, I wish we had kept Griese...

    My Team

I said it before, and I'll say it again, LeCharles Bentley and Byron Leftwich, but I doubt we see anymore moves this offseason except a trade/cut of RMJ and the regular roster cuts.
  20. It is interesting, but in the end, we are probably better off without him.
  21. screw Simms, if the guy gets hit, his body might split in half. I'd much rather see Leftwich brought in. He's better than Simms, has more potential, and we wouldn't have to give up a draft pick for him.
  22. My favorite is last. I freaking hate the middle.
  23. Not surprising. I wasn't expecting him to be happy about being at the bottom of the depth chart and pretty much not wanted here. Maybe he should go to another Deny's with Mo Jones-Drew and beat up some people.
  24. I'm still not sold on Lloyd making the team. What does he bring that Monk doesn't?
