  1. Felix Jones leaves a lot to be desired in his game. Played in a gimmicky offense, never carried the load, and doesn't have outstanding triangular numbers. I like Forte better, and I could see teams/scouts thinking that way as well.
  2. McFadden = long gone by 14... Felix Jones = overrated.
  3. I have doubts whether he'll be around by the time we pick in the 2nd. I would not be surprised if he is ranked no. 4 overall in the RB area by some scouts.
  4. Odds are that I have a better chance of winning the lottery then Clady falling to the Bears. And as for Baker, he could still be around by our 2nd pick, and even if we do draft him, he'd likely have to play inside for us. His best fit is in a ZBS as a LT, and I am willing to bet a ZBS team drafts him.
  5. They draft DeAngelo Williams in the 1st just 2 years ago. I think they will draft a RB early, but not in the 1st round. Wharton is moving inside, meaning they will still have a hole at LT. And believe it or not, lineman can make an impact as well.
  6. lol, every prospect has things they need work on. Chris Williams has as many negatives, if not more. Same as Otah, Cherilus, and Clady.
  7. Okay, I have nothing against you, and I think you're a good poster, but that is completely idiotic to think something like that will happen. First off, the difference between 14 and both Cowboy 1st round picks is over 400 points. So, we would have to throw in both our 3rd rounders for something like this to happen. If that isn't enough, the Cowboys already have Marion Barber, who is turning into one of the top backs in the league. The only reason why there were all those rumors about McFadden and the Cowboys is because Jerry Jones is Arkansas alumn and loves McFadden. They will likely draft a RB early, but odds are that it will be someone like Felix Jones or Jamaal Charles with either their late 1st or 2nd round pick. Now, I am not ruling out a possible trade with the Cowboys, but there is no way they trade up for Mendenhall, and there is no way we will get both of their first rounders. If they trade up, it will be for a CB and we'd only get 22, their 2nd rounder, and a mid round pick most likely.
  8. That's easier said then done since what incentive would the Cowboys, Redskins, or Buccs have in trading up 6-8 spots? Cowboys, maybe if they fall in love with a corner and want to get them before maybe the Texans, Eagles, or Cardinals... but I highly doubt we will be trade partners with either Washington or Tampa.
  9. I like Branden Albert and he could play LG for us immediately, and perhaps even eventually move over to LT. With him, we could then draft a guy in round 2 or 3 and can play RT, and have him compete with St. Clair.
  10. Answer me this... what percentage of the girls in Sweden are actually smoking hot?

    Ah Dammit!

Oh no! We didn't sign a guy who couldn't even start on the Texans, who safety situation is so bad, they make all our safeties look like all hof'ers. Sorry, but Boulware offers nothing that we already have.
  12. Okay, at 5'8" and 199/200, Ray Rice is just about an inch above Garrett Wolfe. He is heavier and has drawn comparisons to Mo Jones-Drew, but is no where the back Jones-Drew is. He does have good 4.44 speed, but Forte's 4.46 speed at 6'1" 215 is much more impressive. Steve Slaton is pretty much Garrett Wolfe but 2 inches taller and 10 lbs. heavier. He has moves and speed (only clocked in at 4.44 at the combine), but offers nothing as an inside runner. And, like I said, he has been even looked at as a WR. Kevin Smith, I like, but he's not as good as Forte. But he's a lot slower on the field and off (clocked in at 4.6). He has real good vision tough and does a lot of things well. And, he's got a ton a milledge on him to. Tashard Choice is in the same boat as Smith. While he is good at everything, he doesn't excell at anything and has little upside. Forte's upside is miles above Choice's, who projects mainly as a backup.
  13. I'm sure LT is a nice guy and all, and he worked real hard on that salary cap stuff... but he whined about the littlest thing and left like a baby. Well, that's my view of it. He couldn't adapt to this forums set up and left. Oh well. good luck to whatever you do next LT.
  14. Okay, he's not a midget like Rice. He's not a frail WR playing RB who can only run to the outside like Slaton. He's not as slow as Smith. And he's got much more starting potential then Choice.
  15. All the ones in bold are no. Forte is so much better then all of them.
  16. If we want him we'd have to likely use our 2nd rounder on him and, while I really like Forte, we have bigger needs to address first.
  17. also, just to throw this out there, Scott Wright (nfldraftcountdown) has Jeff Otah going no. 5 overall like Levi Brown did last year. I can see it.
  18. nfldraftcountdown updated their mock today. Has us getting Chris Williams in the 1st and Brian Brohm in the second. Williams I like and would be a great pick. And while everyone knows I love Flacco, Brian Brohm would be a great pick as well. That would be a great way to start off the draft.
  19. one of the reasons why Jackson had such good success in Seattle was because, or so I've read, is that he had a great relationship with Hasselback. But still, like I said previously, I don't care either way. The guy I would want, however, is D.J. Hackett.
  20. I don't think signing your own players count, only players you sign from other teams. So far we lost Berrian and Ayanbadejo, and also possibly Reuben Brown (if someone signs him) and Antonio Garay. We've signed Booker and Lloyd, and that's it. So yeah, I'd say it's safe to say that we might not only get a 3rd round comp. pick, but also another late round one for Ayanbadejo.
  21. I seriously doubt whether Lloyd can even beat out Hass or Riddeau. Plus, Lloyd refusal to play ST doesn't help him. He should have no effect on whether we sign or draft another receiver.
  22. Baker can only, or rather, should only, play LT in the ZBS. Otherwise, he would have to shift to OG. Cherilus is a much better prospect then Baker. Cherilus isn't a good LT, but he was and will be a real good RT. Plus, it's kinda tough to compare a RT to a G/T tweener. However, wanting the Bears to draft Baker over Cherilus, if they were the 2 options, is retarded.
  23. odds are we will pick guys who are raw in the game football (guys with bad technique, etc), but have good athleticism and special teams potential.
