  1. Yeah, Anderson would fit in as an OLB in the 34. In fact, some thought for sure he would get draft by a 34 team as an OLB back during the draft 2 years ago. Also, IMO, it is not very wise to trade future 1st round picks. It could turn out good if you are actually good, but if you suck the following season, you gave up a top 10 pick. Just look at the 49'ers, lost out on the 7th overall pick this year for Joe Staley. If they kept their future pick, they could be getting Ryan Clady instead. But hindsight is always 20-20... And yes, this Quinn getting moved stuff is a pipedream.
  2. I never called Winslow a wide receiver, I called him a receiver, as in a receiver of the ball. TE and WR are two different positions, however they both receive. Berrian would be both Washington's and Cleveland's no. 2 wide receiver. And at Pittsburgh, Berrian would easily beat out Holmes. Imagine how good of a season Berrian would have had if he had someone like Rothlesberger consistently throwing him the ball. And he'd be the no. 2 on the Giants, Jets (he would beat out Coles), and San Diego. So, you have 6 teams for sure, maybe even 5 if Roy Williams is traded. That is not a lot of teams Berrian wouldn't be at least the no. 2 on. That is a good minority of the league.
  3. I honestly don't think the Browns have any interest in giving up Quinn, and to get him, we'd probably have to give up our 1st rounder. And the Browns run a 34 so Brown doesn't really fit in anywhere on their team. To small to play DE and not good enough to play OLB.
  4. You know, that is absolute BS. Name me 5 teams Berrian would be a 3 on. He is developing into a no. 1., and put up over 900 yards with our mess of a QB situation. And wanting a prima donna Walker who's leg is made of glass (and is 2-3 years older) for maybe a million or 2 cheaper is idiotic.
  5. Well, next time I will use pass catchers.
  6. Tait, while did not have a great season, was far from terrible last year. He had a couple of real bad games, but there were some health issues as well. A move to RT would be ideal, but there are no LT's out there and having a rookie start at LT is not always a good idea (unless that rookie is Joe Thomas).
  7. What does a tight end do? He receives the ball...
  8. I'd rather give Berrian the 7 million or so in guaranteed money this year then give him the 15-20 million guaranteed he'd likely receive in free agency. We'd be overpaying, but it's worth it. He is by far our best wide receiver and our best option in free agency and the draft. And this way we get to hold off another year to see if it will be the right move to sign him long term.
  9. some of the analysis is good, and some of it is god awful... I wouldn't put too much stock into rotoworld anyway, as they are a fantasy sports site mainly.
  10. Greg Jones is a FA? Damn, I'd love to get him. Great power runner, good receiver, and excellent blocker. And I'd probably go after someone like Starks in free agency and resign Brown cheap, and then draft an OG in the 2nd or 3rd. Our line would be (from left to right) Tait, Brown, Kreutz, Garza, Starks. That would be a solid line if Brown is healthy and Garza plays with a fire now that there is some competition.
  11. I think the Giants line overachieved this year. They are a good group though. And Indy just has a great system for their OLine.
  12. According to scout.com, JA has booked my boy Joe Flacco for a private workout.
  13. I wouldn't go after him over Berrian. Franchise Berrian, cut Moose, and sign Walker on the cheap would be an ideal situation, but that seems more like fantasy land rather then reality.
  14. Chad Pennington might be no superstar, but he does fit the WCO. He would compete for the starting job and be able to provide leadership. And I know I'm in the minority, but I'm a big fan of Jackson and think he will be at least a consistent starter. And while Grossman would provide the "deep threat" for them, he just really doesn't fit the WCO. Childress is known for being a big WCO guy, and I find it tough to believe he would have any interest in Grossman.
  15. JA works in mysterious ways... I just hope to god JA and Lovie really don't think that Hester will magically be the no. 1 receiver. From what I've heard, they are supposedly talking to all specialist prospects and think the OLine is fine. I hope this is just a smokescreen, or else we will be in for one hell of a long season.
  16. Have you forgotten who their TE is? And yeah, their OLine is argueably the best. I personally feal that it is.
  17. What don't you comprehend about the West Coast Offense??? Are you so arrogant and in love with Grossman that refuse to admit that he just does not fit their offense? My god, get a grip. Also, Troy Williamson is hardly a receiving threat. Pretty much, their only good receiver is Sidney Rice, and he is a very good option for the middle of the field and is a great possession receiver (and could be more then that in a couple years. I really like Rice back at USC [not the Trojans] and was a big fan of his in the draft last year). So, in the WCO, the QB doesn't have to have a canon arm. In the WCO offense you go for the short passes to actually set up the run. That requires a QB who has a short quick release and is very accurate (Grossman does have a real quick release however). However, the QB also needs to be able to get outside the pocket and be able to throw on the move. Pennington can do that, Grossman can not. The Vikings are a bit different though, because they can set up the pass using the run, obviously, but now that teams will focus on stopping the run they will need to use the pass more often. Also, something that Pennington provides to the Vikings is experience and leadership, and the ability to actually help develop Jackson. Grossman still needs a ton of developing. Hell, I hope Minnesota does sign Grossman because that would be great for us as he doesn't fit the system. But realistically, a better fit for Grossman is a system that runs the Air Croyell. That is why Detroit would be a much better suitor. 49'ers as well could be a good fit with Martz there now (however, they did extend Hill). Also, I can go without the gay-ass sarcastic comments, thank you very much.
  18. Chad Pennington isn't a good runner, but he can get out the pocket and make throws on the move. The only time Grossman ever leaves the pocket is when he runs about 20 yards behind the pocket when getting "pressured." And he is just not very good throwing on the move.
  19. Unless Minnesota suddenly changes their offense this offseason, Grossman will not be signing there.
  20. just say no the Anderson. He would be god awful without 2 stud receivers and the best O-Line in football. If I had that line and those two guys to throw the ball to, I'd probably have a QB rating above 30...
  21. First off, Childress loves Jackson. 2nd off, Jackson was in his 2nd year and many Viking fans do like him. You mustn't forget that QB's don't develop overnight. And when you play in the WCO, you need to be able to get out the pocket and make passes while running. Did I ever say anything about scrambling? No. And Pennington is as good as gone.
  22. Minny has no interest in the very immobile Rex. Minny is still very high on Jackson, and I see no reason why they shouldn't be. He will be entering his 3rd year and still has plenty of potential. If anything, I could see them going for someone like Chad Pennington, who would actually be a good fit in their offense and offer experience.
  23. that list is complete BS... most of those times were hand timed, which is very unreliable. Plus, odds are that they were on a fast track as well.
  24. I actually have had Sedrick Ellis as my no. 1 DT since the end of the college season, and his senior bowl solidified that choice for me. In fact, I have him going no. 1 overall in my mock as well.
