  1. Big whoop. Over half of those picks were thrown directly to him. He is not that good of a corner, and I can name at least 10 better, if not more.
  2. Miller is gone no matter what. But Walker I can see being back if he agrees to renegotiate. No way will he ever see the 5 million dollar bonus.
  3. You lose credibility when you list Sayers above Brown.
  4. Stewart is bigger and faster then Mendenhall. Stewart is 235 and runs a sub 4.3 40. Mendenhall is 210 and runs a sub 4.4 40... Stewart is a beast, but Mendenhall is quicker, and is the better receiver, so I give him the edge. Size and speed aren't everything.
  5. I have a question, wtf is Antonio Cromartie doing on the 1st team? He shouldn't even be on the 2nd team.
  6. we need someone who can run between the tackles but is also a threat to take it to the house when they do. Receiving and blocking skills would be an added bonus. Someone like Jamaal Charles in the 2nd or Allen Patrick in the late 3rd.
  7. I didn't say I wanted a RB in the 1st... Either Charles in the 2nd, if he's there, or Patrick in the 3rd... A guy I really like is Cory Boyd, or as I call him, Marion Barber IV... but he isn't really the type we need.
  8. We need a homerun hitter... Rice does not provide us that.
  9. we should give those 2 huge black guys a call... Get some competition in for the DLine.
  10. Your trade value chart is wrong. No. 1 overall pick is worth 3000 points and the no. 14 overall pick is worth only 1,100.

we couldn't focus on adding extra support to one side because the whole line was pretty bad. Tait had a bad 1st half but he came on strong in the 2nd half. If we sure up the right side with Starks and Garza/draftee we could leave the left side with Tait and probably Brown (team is very loyal to vets, and Brown can still be average while we develop someone. We could then focus on adding the extra support to the left side then.
  12. you beat me to it connor... This team has spots on the team to just pure special teamers like Ayanbadejo, Roach, McClover, etc.
  13. He's going to be 37, Weaver is gonna be 25 (and is a better runner)...
  14. a lot of people have been wanting a big lead blocker brought in at FB and I noticed that Leonard Weaver is a RFA... Now, I am content with McKie, but Weaver is like another lineman on the field with his blocking ability, plus, he can run w/ the rock.

Wolfe? I wish we never drafted him in the first place... but since he will likely be on the roster, might as well us his strengths, which is pass receiver. A hybrid RB/WR. Besides, it would be much smarter to sign Starks then it is to sign Faneca. Starks will be a real good RT for the next 5-7 years at a similar price to Faneca. Faneca has 2, maybe 3. Have Starks at RT and just usually shift the FB or TE over by Tait on the left side to help him out.
  16. Mendenhall goes top 20, IMO, and will be the 2nd back chosen.
  17. We wouldn't want him anyway... he doesn't offer what we need, a home run hitter. But, he would take, at best, a 4th round pick to get.
  18. no, he's pretty much a tall Rex Grossman...

It baffles me that people actually want to spend tons of money on a 32 year old guard...
  20. bullshit he's too small to play WR. You don't need to be 6 foot to play wide receiver. You just need to be able to get open and catch the ball. Obviously you won't do jump balls but he can be very effective out of the slot as he is quick and shifty and would be able to get separation. He is much too small to play RB compared to WR as well.
  21. Berrian knows the system, and is our only good WR at this moment. Plus, he has shown big play making ability, and does have a lot of chemistry with Rex, who will likely be brought back to compete for the job. I think the smartest thing we could do is franchise tag him. He will get a big contract in free agency and I really don't want to commit to him long term. I would be content with overpaying him for 1 year rather then 5-6 years. If he comes out next year and proves once again he is our no.1, then sign him long term. There is no need to rush to sign him.
  22. interesting... anyone know where I can find any video of him?
  23. I just realized no one mentioned fred taylor... Odds are the Jags will keep him, but Fred Taylor is exactly what a Bear RB should be... someone who is not afraid to knock the shit out of you.
  24. okay, do people realize that you need at least a decent OLine to be able to run the ball??? Mendenhall would just be another "bust" behind this horrid OLine in Chicago.
