  1. I say 2 years with this current team, 3 would be pushing it, IMO.
  2. Well, Olsen isn't 6'4", he is just under 6'6" And wow, at the Combine Matt Jones was measured at 6'6" and 1/4th, weighed in at 242, and ran a 4.39 40... talk about a great combo of size and speed. All of this from a converted QB to WR. I didn't realize he was THAT big. also, I think a better comp. for Olsen is Todd Heap.
  3. At the combine, he was measured at 6'5" and 7/8th's. Weighed in at 254, and ran a 4.51 40. He is a bit bigger, but bit slower Matt Jones.
  4. good read... I see he is going to keep 23. He should be very interested to watch this season. I wonder what position he play. Perhaps the slot, and sometimes line up at running back? I just wish we had some big receivers. We have Moose, Berrian, Bradley, Davis, and now Hester. None are big. But hey, I guess that is why we have Olsen! He'll probably line up at receiver every once in a while as well as TE.
  5. I just don't see how it is possible to sign Briggs while also being able to keep Harris, Tillman, Berrian, and possibly Grossman. Hey, Urlacher is the one doing all the lobbying for Briggs, he should go up to JA and be willing to restructure his contract so he loses a few million, but where that money goes to Briggs' contract. If we keep Briggs, that means we will have like 6 Will linebackers on the roster.
  6. This has got to be the first time ever a Rosenhaus client was the 1st first round pick signed. If Buzz is signed soon, we could have all our picks signed before any other 1st or 2nd round picks have been signed!
  7. Only Buzz to go... this is exactly like last year, where we will have all our picks signed before some teams even get started.
  8. I'm not going to vote and patron something ESPN.
  9. If he even sits out 1 game of preseason, let alone the first 10 games, I am pretty sure he will be sitting out for the rest of the season. The great thing about that is that he won't get a dime. But, if he doesn't play the whole season, I am pretty sure we can't franchise him, but hey, we'd get the the compensation in the form of a 3rd round pick in the next draft anyway (as long as he doesn't suck for whichever team overpays him). Lance Briggs is showing he isn't a team player, but a "Me" player.
  10. Tillman and Vasher until 2012 is a scary combo... If this does happen, I guess it would mean the Bears still plan on having D. Manning be a FS.
  11. I just want him to be consistent. Either consistently good or consistently bad, so we could finally know which one he is. I like everyone else of course would like it if he was consistently good.
  12. It seems like the Raiders are likely going to sign him.
  13. great signing! Now, Tommie needs to be extended, and Bernard. I'd like see Tillman as well, but right now the other two or more important. And if Grossman repeats last year, I have to figure he would be gone.
  14. Why? He has been given chance after chance, and blew every single one of them. All that talk after prison "I'll be the NFL top role model, etc. etc. etc." was just that, talk. Good freaking bye.
  15. I don't know... I saw him wearing the #55 jersey and started some of my own speculation
  16. Now, it seems like Urlacher is petitioning for Briggs to either return or for the organization to sign him long term. Now, if Urlacher wants Briggs to re-sign and if it will keep Urlacher happy... I am leaning towards f-ing sign the man. I am sure Urlacher would be willing to re-work his contract a bit to keep Briggs as well.
  17. back down? This isn't baseball with the minor leagues... There is the 53 man roster, PS, IR, and PUP. I'm sorry, I know you're trying to help. After thinking about it, he probably would remain on the 53 and inactive on gamedays.
  18. I know about preseason, but what about when the season begins? And you think Lovie is gonna work some of that magic on Briggs?
  19. I think I know the answer to this question, but would Tank still occupy a spot on the 53? Same goes for Briggs if he holds out and doesn't get traded...
  20. Take your pick... McNabb - 30/51, 357 YDS, 3 TD, 3 INT Grossman - 20/28, 165, 1 TD, 2 INT
  21. Well, Wolfe isn't much of a blocker because of his size. I think it will go something like this... Benson - primary back (dur) Peterson - situational 3rd down back, depending on the situation Wolfe - comes in later in games when the defense has been hopefully worn down by Benson, and to give Benson a break. Basically, change of pace, with AP still being the 3rd down back with him in.
  22. I was watching SC tonight, and appearantly Tommie Harris was doing a charity thing with Donovan McNabb in chicago for kids, and he said some stuff like with McNabb the Bears would have won the superbowl and such. Well, appearantly he was just joking around (according to Harris) but it was being put in papers saying Tommie is anti-Rex. Well, he apologized to team saying it was just a joke between friends and he'll be more carefull next time he jokes around. I agree though with Tommie, with a healthy McNabb, the bears would have easily won the Super Bowl. With McNabb possibly getting cut after this season, if Grossman doesn't improve considerably this season, I could see McNabb being brought in.
