  1. A sleeper is someone from a small school (not D-I) and isn't really considered as a first round prospect, but could become a very good player. Barbre, Brown, Boss, and Ford could all possibly become pretty good players. The odds of either Slyvan or Thomas becomming productive players, let alone drafted, are pretty low. Not saying that they aren't going to maybe do good.
  2. I'll pass on Thomas... too many character concerns, and I think a 3-4 team might pick him early in like the 5th round based on potential alone. A few my second day sleepers are: Kevin Boss, TE out of Western Oregon; Jacob Ford, DE out of Central Arkansas; Allen Barbre, OT out of Missouri Southern St.; and Courtney Brown, CB out of Cal Poly.
  3. When was the last time JA made a big trade? In fact, besides for the Moose signing, he doesn't sign big name free agents usually. He isn't that type of guy, IMO, and I really don't see Briggs going anywhere.
  4. I personally don't see Lance Briggs getting traded, but in fact returning next season to play all 16 games + playoffs, and then something happening with him contract/team wise. Lovie has a way with disgruntled players... if you would look up the word smooth in the dictionary, you'd see a picture of Lovie. Also, I see the Chiefs trading Green to the Dolphins, and Cullpepper going to the Raiders, with the Raiders trading Porter while keeping Moss, and drafting Calvin. Then the Lions will take either QB and the Browns will take AD. Bucs will go with Okoye, and then the Cards will go with Thomas. Well, thats how I see the first 5 going anyway.
  5. Until the draft... anyone else excited as heck? I can't wait. And this year, I wont be so pissey if I dont like JA's picks
  6. This team will only get better. It was a 4 year plan. First year, just compete a little... Check; 2nd year, be .500 and maybe make it to the playoffs... Check; 3rd year, Win a playoff game plus some... Check; 4th year, win it all.
  7. Pocket change to Urlacher, in fact, I bet Vitamin Water is picking up a good portion of the tab for the fine.
  8. Mel Kiper and Mike Mayock both like to make strange picks and rankings, just to gain publicity until a couple days before the draft. But, their still idiots. At 31, I want one of the Dwayne's.
  9. I made peer-pressure my personal bitch. I'm clean. And like others have said, probably over half the league is doing or did some illegal stuff.
  10. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=3296 The Bears make it twice on the list, the only team to have two different entries. Pretty cool, I thought.
  11. Yeah, I don't think you could pass on Olsen there. Maybe Jarrett though. Grubbs and Sears shouldn't even be considered at this point either.
  12. Oh excuse me... I mean 13 possible tough games. We should have 3 wins marked down already though.
  13. ahh... the memories... the painful memories.
  14. oooo... looks like I'm up. Gimme like half a minute! The Eagles Select.... Brandon Merriweather, Defensive Back, Miami
  15. No, I checked also... this guy doesn't exsist!
  16. Oh, I am sure something will be worked out with the league, because there is no way Briggs should get 7 million by sitting out for 10 games and comming back for the final 6.

Giants 4:15pm Dec 6 @Washington 8:15pm Dec 17 @Minnesota 8:30pm Dec 23 Green Bay 1:00pm Dec 30 New Orleans 1:00pm By my count, the only 2 easy games we have are vs. the Lions, obviously. The Packers and Viking are both improved, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Packers make the playoffs (as a wildcard of course though). And Minny has improved and they are never an easy opponent. I wouldn't be surprised to see them competing for the playoffs for a good portion of the season. And if I recall, we have always had trouble at Washington, and they should be a solid opponent. Saints have only gotten better, and playing at Seattle is never easy. Denver is always good, as well. San Diego is argueabley the best team in the NFL, and Phillie has only gotten better also. The Chiefs might be easier this season, but they are usually a good team and have a very good coach who knows Lovie well in Edwards. Yeah, this seems like a very easy schedule...
  18. looks like Briggs will stay a Bears in 2007, but not even playing 1 game. If he holdsout and sits the first 10 games, you can be sure that the Bears do something to suspend him for the rest of the season, and not allowing him to receive that 7.2 mil.
  19. I hate prime time games, I wish all of them could just be at noon, central.
  20. http://blog.mlive.com/lionsinsider/2007/04..._in_detroi.html Well, it looks like Mike Williams is as good as gone. If he is cut, should the Bears take a look at him, and maybe sign him? He is a big receiver and could be a redzone target and could replace Gage. Also, IIRC, wasn't JA big on Williams during the 05 draft?
  21. It wasn't as bad as I originally thought... woulda been better if he didn't forget the words. I do like how he does support Chicago however, and you always see him at sporting events in chicago...
  22. He sung it? lol... From interviews, I can tell he mumbles, probably out of camera shy... I can only imagine how bad he mumbled today.
