  1. Don't get me wrong. But I don't understand betting on things one has no control over. I've won over 1500 in my fantasy league the last two years for only 250 investment.. Not counting all the trash talking I get to do. Yea I might go another ten years and win nothing but I have some control over what I do. Not a big gambler after getting my ass burned for decades
  2. I hope he's not getting references for massage therapists.
  3. I don't remember, I was overseas. But a nice story about the change. https://www.chicagobears.com/news/a-change-from-wrigley-to-soldier-field-17831297
  4. Best case for me is 10-7. But will be happy with 9-8. If injuries or bad play call and coaching 7-10. If the wheels fall off and a few key players get lost or badly underperform 6-11. I think this roster is the best it's been top to bottom for well over ten years.
  5. See the old man is coming out. I hit the wrong link it was NYC whose last sentence I did not understand not yours sorry. "What a drag it is getting old". Even more annoying knowing a 20 something wrote that line.
  6. I did not know his stats but I did know he has very little playing experience. Why many have asked how can he sit another year and not get any playing time in two years. I'm getting old because I don't follow your last sentence.
  7. Instead of dink and doink lets seem them do some duck and chuck. https://twitter.com/PFF_College/status/1408418758339792897/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1408418758339792897|twgr^|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fbearswire.usatoday.com%2F2021%2F07%2F01%2Fbears-qb-justin-fields-was-insanely-accurate-on-30-plus-yard-throws-at-ohio-state%2F anyway. Justin Fields on 30+ yard throws in his career at OSU. 95.7 passing grade, 18 TD's, 0 INT's
  8. What he said. Not counting a whole revamped OL. All most the lowest % of cap then any team. 29th.
  9. I don't understand the Bears weather mantra. Best I can get since 85 when It seemed to become a rallying cry. They are no better better than 500 at home games in the playoffs. Most likely even less. I won't get into the reg. season record that is not much better.
  10. Well maybe not. We could offer Quinn to Chicago for the rest of the lease. Almost a clean swap.
  11. So luck with receivers seem to be the same. https://www.windycitygridiron.com/2021/6/2/22465445/chicago-bears-dazz-newsome-wide-receiver-injures-shoulder-will-miss-practice-time-2021-nfl-draft

    Robert Quinn

"Quinn did absolutely BUTKUS". I agree with you in the sense he far under performed. But in my world, both Butkus and Peyton, are football gods and the use of their names should only be used in reverence. Just saying.
  13. I see a lot of similarities to the rams D this year to the bears after 2018
  14. A big Kurt fan. Broke my heart when he lost the super bowl in Arizona. Big play after big play from both teams.

    2021 Schedule

I've had my heart ripped out and left beating on a plate in front of me to many times in the last 40 years to predict wins vs losses. I want to win it all but would be happy this year to see them turn the big corner going down hill not up. Just read an article by H. Arkush. Talking about how good Montgmery has been the last couple years vs other backs in the league. Love Montgomery. But he ends the article saying how nice would it be to have another Bronco, Walter, Anderson, Jones, Forte running back. That would be nice. But how much better would it be to have our first, Marino, Fouts, Rogers, Brees, hell even Stafford to go along with him first?
  16. Every year I have hope. The last five plus years have just beat me down. 2018 was a joy ride. The last two just the opposite. I love the direction this team seems to be going in. It looks like this draft could be a turning point just like 83. Maybe not the depth. But some game changers. And the one that could change everything. I'm more optimistic than I have been for decades. But the scars are deep and will take a long time to grow a callous over.

    2021 Schedule

Just priced the total. Two tickets visitors side just off the 50 first row. 7,700. Where do I go for valet parking? Gotta love Vegas where everything stays in Vegas. Including your money. But I knew that already. Im just not in that tax bracket. More power to those that are.

    2021 Schedule

For the price of a game against the Raiders it would have to include open bar and food with Darth Vader bringing me the drinks. But then if I was sitting in the end zone he might just be sitting next to me.

    2021 Schedule

God I checked ticket prices for Raider game. Just a quick check. Lower level 4000 bucks for anything other than end zone. Cheapest ticket I could find was over 500 bucks for nose bleed. Not counting tax, title, and dealer prep, and service fee. Live NFL games have priced me out of of ever going again. And with a large screen tv, able to ff thru timeouts commercials etc. just a better experience. I understand the whole tail gate party thing. But a ten hour commitment for a game is a bit much. Checked for NBA tickets to the last couple Kings cames in Sac. Would never sit anywhere but lower level. 300 bucks. A few years ago we bought a ten game package for under three grand for great lower level seats. Will just watch sports on TV from now on.
  20. If Fields is the best QB during training camp you have to start him, period. you can't have 52 other players wondering why are they not playing him. He's not a guy who only played 12 games in college with a spotty record and stats.
  21. "If that were to happen, I’d have to go to the doctor for priapism". I also had to look up. I assume one's significant other never complained.. No one ever said math was included when I started watching football. Not so much now. As for the draft. Pace made a mistake in 2017 that cost a lot of capital then as well as well as now too fix. Everyone says you blow a pick for a first round QB it sets your team back 5+ years. Well here we are. He has taken another shot to fix that. They are back to trying again at a high cost, but I think he made the best choice available in both first round and 2nd round picks. And still seemed to fill a lot of holes in later rounds. I've changed my mind about Pace, again, for at least another year. We shall see.
  22. Im not a draft geek like some of you here. Don't watch any college football and have not watched more that one or two games a year. I have read and watched a lot of Fields and Jenkins. Love both even though both expensive trades. We shall see. Best thought on the L. Boron pick that's fits my knowledge. From another site. For decades, this team has been in dire need of a Larry. I'm stoked." #Larry. Thank MVT13 Always a good time for a little humor.
  23. Again the pick will be linked to pats and Mac Jones for the next four years. One can only hope
  24. A swing for the fence. End of road or a ten year free pass.
