I keep hearing Watson-Wilson won't happen. We forget who is in charge here. I would prefer not but I'm not the man. I would take a flyer on Darnold, Winston. even Smith for a year or two and keep our picks and rebuild the roster for a year or two. I just don't see Pace doing that. The Dac contract should be enough proof that anything is possible in a smart salary cap push every thing down the road NFL.

Not my idea nor my first choice. Make post June 1 trade to Seattle. Include Mack two firsts in 22-23- Montgomery and Roquan or Johnson maybe both or maybe a future 2n or 3d. The post June 1 would allow both teams to spread the cap hits on Mack and Russell to be spread over two years. Making it an almost cap neutral trade. Redo every vet contract. Would give Seattle two or three quality rookies contracts and allow us to still have all of our draft picks this year and most of our future picks going forward. Carrol is not a pass happy coach so finding a vet would be a lot easier for his scheme than us finding someone to fit in Nagys system, what ever that is. Hell throw in Floles as a cherry on the Sunday.

I don't know if breaking the bank for a franchise QB would be worse than what we have been doing for the last 100 years. But maybe it's time to just find out. Not my first choice, but what the freak. I'm tired of what if we had?

But based on his points I just don't see any reason the Bears should do any trading up for any QB that would be available before ten. I want them to just stay put unless one of the top four falls beyond ten or hope Jones falls to 20. Other wise draft a OL best player available at 20 and see who's there in the 2nd.

I don't want any free agents signed for more than vet. min. At any position. They have to start building this team thru the draft and stop giving away picks for retreteads or moving up in the draft. Now. if they think the right QB is there for a price then OK. But if the do that and it looks like a failure in the first year or two delete the whole staff. You have to try and hit the most important position on a team every year. But after five years and wrong choices every year sorry times up!! They are the front office this year so they have the right to choose what they are going to do. Lets hope they get it right!!

I don't see anyway Mac Jones makes it to 20. If so than yea do it. But they are going to have to trade up to be in the hunt for him. IMIO

What if they decide to change their thought process and start to build thru the draft instead of just signing aree agents every year. What if Pace and Nagy were to trade x=y=z players this off season. Get another four or five draft picks and try and have a draft like the Bears had in the early 80's. Start building a new foundation for a generation. Why would that mean they have to win now or be gone. Set a true foundation of picks to build on and insure them a decade of control? Why does it have to be win now or gone. Change the whole thought process.

I'm so tired of just getting retread old players on short contracts. Build thru the draft. In the last 50 years what players have we gotten from the free agent heap that has won us anything? Even Mack has given us just one year of great play. Please stop and start building our own future HOF or great players thru the draft not rejects off of other teams. If pace would try and have an 82-3-4 draft class instead of getting an overpriced vet like Quinn. Mack, and just build thru the draft. Just not going to happen everyone wants the latest and greatest. Why do we want to keep spending our future to repair our past mistakes? We had the chance to draft multiple players and for one reason or another did not. Thats in the past. They should focus on the future and try and get the next player for the Bears no matter what the position is. Stop chasing your former mistakes. Their is no QB who is going to take this roster any farther than it has already been in the last four years.

Artie Lange; The man has more demons than I do. Which is saying a lot. I find his humor sad. Don Riggles could do the same thing to anyone with class and real humor. And if any Bears player ever had the rap sheet he has no one would ever mention his name again as a player. Oh, Joe Buck stood up for the bit on HBO and even wrote the intro for his 2nd book.
