So have been doing the draft with wcg and we have traded back at 43 to 48 and another pick. With 48 we picked Isaiah Wilson and with the 50th traded back again and now have 57 and two more picks. Lester Wilfong is doing the draft and doing the trades etc. Then a poll is taken to see who those of us want to do with a dozen choices of bpa or trade back. Good way to spend a sunday when we are in the middle of the hardest raining storm in nrca i have ever seen this morning

Not sure if this is the forum for this but have never been in any of the others. I just want to again to say I have found all of you a great reprieve from the day to day grind in today's world. Talking about football and reading about football is one of my greatest escapes from just the daily news. I'm so glad that the NFL has continued with their off season. So I hope all of you are doing well and continue to be safe as well as all your families. No matter how the Bears end up in all of this, just being able to see games again this season will be a win!

I have no knowledge to critique any football players. I take those of you on here's opinion and the so called experts. My eyes say he is a capable QB but just seems to not process the info that's before him in the few seconds that a QB gets in today's NFL. Hopefully they can mitigate his weakness's and build on his strength's going forward and allow him to reach is potential. I do believe Foles has the ability to process those options and make reads quickly. Why I thought they should of traded for him last year. Now can he do that on a game by game season has shown, not so much.

Their all playing from the same rule book so may the best team win. They did this for decades going only on scouts and game tape. Maybe it will work out even better now that they don't have all the pro days and they just go off of how they played in real games. Less reaches for that freak player who did not show much in games but boy he can run fast and jump high lets take a flyer over the "football" player.

Has Pace ever traded down with any pick in any round? Just asking?

I have never been able to watch college football. So I just read other peoples opinions. I do believe that OF line must be number one priority Does not matter in my opinion if its guard, center, or tackle. I just don't see how they can not choose someone with one of their two 2nd's. And since I don't get to see college FB I have never seen Tua play. But I read raving reviews about his play for three years. Then he had to deal with multiple injures the last two years. He just released a 30 sec video of him dropping back and throwing to some one. Every yahoo on multiple sites are saying how great he is again. How do they now have no reservations on his draft status? Is there another video that's longer? How his body responded the next day? Did he even come close to the receiver he was throwing to? You could take a bunch of undraftable QB's that would show the same. What am I missing?

OL, safety or corner best player available in either. If none there worth pick then there must be good players at other position. QB, LB. WR.

No, just a cheap homeowner. Always loved watching this old house. Took me years to realize how tough home repairs can be. And you only get once chance to get that shitter to work or you have big problems. Plumbing always the worst. By the time you get done you might have replaced everything all the way back to the sewer in the street. But ol Bob and Norm finished every hour. My kids played this old house in the early 80's. They would get so deep into being Bob and Norm that when I got home they would not respond unless I called them by that. Tool belts the whole nine yards. OK, back to our normal programming.

I'm happy they are at least starting to look at the OL. He's most likely not going to come in and have a ten year career with the Bears. But they need to start thowing shit at the board and hope they get at least mid pack players while they build in the draft. Thought this was a good post be Seahawks fan. In my ignorant understanding there is no way they can spend top dollar for any free agent. They are just to cash strapped now and into the soon to be future. You can only restructure so may contracts going forward. We have a few big needs that can be addressed with lower tier FA's. Which will give us options in the draft. I'll let them chose which spots are a priority and can be filled with lower level FA or draft picks.

Good points. And I would bet almost every coach in the NFL has been fired from multiple jobs and positions over the years. Many times I've read coaches say that they know they will at some point be fired. Very few coaches seem to just retire. Hell, even Tom Landry finally got fired. And how many times has Belicheck been fired, not just as head coach but while an assistant?

I have to say. White can not be blamed on Pace. He never got a chance because of injuries. Floyd was not an epic bust. He just did not become the sack leader he should of. He still became an average OLB and got picked up by another team on the same contract price he had with the Bears. The jury is still out on Smith. He's been good for most of his time here except for some unknown reason last year. If we get the Smith of the two years before last year instead of the short time last year he's above average. Trubisky, Shaheen yea they will go down as epic. At the time the Mack trade seemed like the icing on the cake, not only for Bears fans, but also for 95% of the NFL. If you look at all of the players other teams are poaching from us it seems he does OK filling out a roster. The Graham pickup is a head scratcher. Foles is to me an opps, we lost out on Bridgewater and thought Mariota and Keenum would be there in the second tier of free agency. Still, anything less then a deep run into the playoffs next year, will still be a failure and he should be shown the door along with Nagy.

Being sarcastic of course. They have included a lot more than that and might be worth a watch or two in today's sports deprived world. Better than watching a replay of a Rugby game they had on one of the national channels last Sat. Fun to watch for a few minutes though.
