For all intents and purposes training came and preseason are over. Other than setting a few of the last of the 53 man roster we know who is going to be on this team. As a fan I would like to know what you all expect. Best case and worst case. Baring any injuries to the starting 25 or so. If Mack goes down, or Mitch all bets are off. A receiver or running back gets lost all bets are off. But if this team can keep it's core in tack what are yo'ur realistic expectations for this season. What would be successful season or a failure. For me, not making the playoffs or losing in the first round again would be a failure. Making the NFC championship would be a success. Not winning it all would be disappointing but seeing every phase working together and improving would be something I could hang my hat on. I think we have a three year window to win it all. But I want to see Pace and Nagy building something we have not seen since the 80's. A successful formula that continues to build on every year. A front office and coaching staff that is stable for ten plus years. A system that is not dependent on just one draft class or a few generational players. Something that shows continued team building every year and a system that replaces those players that got us started. Not dependent on a few great players but a system that can plug in new players every few years.

I would let Duck go for the guy who ran him down like he was standing still. 6'3" 206. Pretty impressive. One of the best effort plays I've seen in awhile. Made someones team with that.

Ok. One and a half games and so far I'm wondering where the plays are. Not one play made IMHO in the first half. A strip and recovery because the Giants tackle blew his assignment. And a kickoff for a touch down because a kicker was lackadaisical. Nothing I saw all half that made me excited. Guess we will be looking for a backup QB next year. Time to play the starters next week just to? It's only preseason!

I don't want to see anyone else butting heads with Hicks please.

For the price of a everyday dinner for two at most rest. I can put this next to my TV and watch it spin all game and get a few laughs as the Bears kick some ass this year. More than happy to let them "Just take my money".

I can understand the concept and the fact that it's a one on one drill. Perhaps you just do what the drill is. But it just seems like he's slowing down turning inside back into the defender allowing him time to catchup

Why would you turn all the way inside into the defender when you already have him beat to the outside? It seems like you're allowing the defender time to catch up? It seems like a weird to design a play. Maybe that's why I'm a mailman.

Has anyone read or heard how the offense line is doing so far in camp?

Just amazing how good this defense is. I am looking forward to seeing how they will play with Pagano. And I don't for a minute think they are going backwards just because they lost Fangio. When Ryan left they were just as good and in many areas even better.

Yea in football teams more times than not a team will win over most indefiual players. But there is no denying that it was Mr. Manning that made the plays during both playoff runs and his play in each Super Bowl that are the reasons they won.

I have never had faith in Andy Reid teams for the same reason I never had faith in Lovie Smith teams. They excelled in one area only. Mahomes is a rare talent but you still need a balanced team to win it all.

For complete disclosure it's "a laser signature not a real autograph". Did not catch that on the back. They must have a bunch for most players to send out to acknowledge your email etc.

So I sent a simple email to the Mr. Hicks care of the Bears a few weeks ago, just telling him that he has become one of my favorite players in the past 60 years. I enjoy watching him and his interviews and told them I thought he seem like just a big guy having fun. In the mail today was an autographed photo. For an old fart it made me feel like a kid and made my day.

Just put a hernia truss on. They are almost useless. Kinda like the old school jock straps

Could be BS. But the human body is not a machine. Things happen that sometimes don't make sense and screw everything up. It's not always just cut and dry. Hernia surgery can be just a pain the the ass. err groin. Its not just a cut and dry operation. Thats why they make you sign a release. Don't have any idea what the truth is. Just know that I've had so called routine surgeries that ended up costing me almost a year of my life and years later still effecting my life. Things can go really wrong.
