  1. As far as how they looked in college, I dont think Swain stands a chance against Hass. I actually wouldnt mind Hass being in or WR group. However, I still have hope that Currie can get healthy, knock on wood, and make some kind of impact for us. He showed his explosiveness last preseason, and in college. I know everyone hates on the guy but I gotta keep pulling for him, because like it or not, if he is on the field for us he could be a great weapon. Damn, Battle signed with the boys. According to this we signed Darius Walker and Chris Frome. LINKY A gesture of good will from Rosensleaze perhaps?
  2. Yeah Hall was somone I liked after seeing him in workouts. Another name is Jackie Battle. Ive been gushing over the guy for the last month, and I really like him. I dont understand how teams would take a shot on a guy Chris Henry, who is a workout warrior who had very low production, when Jackie is an even bigger freak athletically and put up damn good numbers in college.

  4. That's Aaron Brant, not Bryant.

  6. Theres an article about him on Bear report from not too long ago.
  7. I migh tbe alone here, but I like the Chargers draft a lot. 2 37 Weddle, Eric 3 96 Waters, Anthony 5 172 Naanee, Legedu 7 240 Siler, Brandon I like all of thse guys a lot. Waters could go down as the steal of the draft
  8. Yeah, this is being discussed over and over everywhere. NFL teams obviously know something we dnt. I know the partial tear in his ACL is believed to have lead directly to his poor performance in agility drills this offseason.
  9. Bye bye Wesley I guess? Also, Payne is a SS, and Graham played mostly FS in college, but can be viewed as a CB in our system too. I just love the Graham pick, but I really wish we would have addressed the need for OT depth. Maybe even a move to WR for Hester? However, reading about McBride, he needs a lot of coaching, and looks like a PS candidate.
  10. I said the same thing over on another board. He would have been good there.
  11. Ditto, but specifically an OT. Maybe and athletic-type project, who could project to LT if he ever hits his ceiling, and we can bring up on the practice squad.
  12. I just hope we go OT WR with our last two picks.
  13. Backround on Payne and Graham.. Payne is a jack of all trades guy. Played RB, SS, punted, and returned kicks for L-M. Here's his workout numbers detailed. Note he weighed 220 at the combine and 209 at his pro day. "COMBINE RESULTS Combine Invite: Yes Wonderlic: N/A 40 Yrd Dash: 4.60 20 Yrd Dash: 2.65 10 Yrd Dash: 1.54 225 Lb. Bench Reps: Vertical Jump: Broad Jump: 9'0" 20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.34 3-Cone Drill:" He slimmed down from 220, and bettered his times. AND it was run "outside on soft, uneven grass, so the conditions weren't ideal." FWIW, scouts usually add anywhere from .05 to .1 to guys running on harder surfaces like terrible turf, and subtract .05 to .1 for those run on grass depending on the conditions. So he could be a legit 4.5 guy. I really agree with whoever said they would rather have Wedling, but I'm not going to cry over us getting a guy like Payne who is willing and able to do a multitude of things to help the team win games. Graham. I love this pick. The guy could be a very good value pick for us. Junior Pro day numbers. 4.38 in the 40-yard dash … 260-pound bench press … Bench pressed 225 pounds 10 times … 415-pound squat … 275-pound power clean … 39-inch vertical jump … 30 3/8-inch arm length … 9½-inch hands … Right-handed … 29/41 Wonderlic score. Ran a 4.5 just 6 months after the surgery on his broken fibula. Great return man, and reminds me a lot of the guy I wanted us to pick but was off the board in CJ Gaddis. Both are the strong, and athletic guys, who are right around the 6' 200 pound mark, and project well at both CB and S in our system. Graham primarily played Safety all for years, but lined up against the divisions best recievers. Very good pick here.
  14. PJ is with GB. As I sai din the other thread Wolfe ran sub 4.4 forties while at 186 and 183, so getting up to 190 wouldnt hurt his speed at all, IMO. I think he could even get up to 195 and not worry about any lost agility.
  15. Well, he's been measured at 5-7 183-186 this offseason and still ran sub 4.4 times, so it really isnt that light for his frame. I love how he just hides behind his blockers and shoots through holes though. It''s gotta be pretty tough to tackle a guy you cant see til the last second. He's probably the flashiest, most elusive, and most agile runner in the draft, which really doesnt count for much if you arent tough, but it's nice to have a guy who is always looking to break the big one. I'd like to revisit something I said here last year. Now obviously, the size issue was enough to make teams pass on him, but I still feel the same way I did back then. I really think he is something special, and got overlooked because of his size. Not saying i think he will ever be a starter, but him coming off the bench as the lightening to Ced's thunder, could really be cool. I would like to see him try and put on ten pounds though.
  16. I agree with this sentiment entirely. Just sitting on Briggs as an asset doesn thelp our team in the least. Maybe some team will be dissapointed with who they came away with and trade for him, and maybe we will have to wai tit ou twell into TC and possibly the season for someone to need him. Either way, we cant just sit on him.
  17. Buzz is going to surprise. I was a little confused at first two, but watching the tape on the guy, he indeed does have the HUGE motor used describe him. Seriously, watch a few clips of him, he has major burst off the line, and terrific power moves to get in the backfield. As I said in the pick thread, it also allows us to move Izzy inside where he belongs. Izzy will make a very good 3 gap DT after he gets up around 290(he is listed at 270 or 275, but just looking at him compared to the other lineman, there is no chance he weighs an ounce belowe 280, not a chance). He also has the(and I hate to use this cliche twice in one paragraph) ever sought after high motor and intense pursuit.
  18. I'd pick Pittman or Battle long before Id touch Bush.
  19. Neither am I. Rufus is a proptotype SLB, and we need a WLB. He reminds me of Hx2 A LOT. Not overly athletic, but good along the line, and very cerebral. I like Jamar as a WLB in ou rsystem and think he's going the be the next late round stud for us.
  20. No he wont play DT at all. This move does something I thought might happen. It allows Izzy to gain ten pounds, and kick inside to a full time DT, where I think he belongs. He was the defensive MVP of the Shrine game.
  21. Well, I hat to pull out the "experts" card here, but I ve yet to see one say we didnt make out very well in that trade. I love the move.
