RAS scores are a pretty neat way to summarize a player's athleticism. Here are the top 10 players for this year, all positions: I had Gonzalez, Campbell, and Mingo already on the radar. Campbell with Sanborn would be a pretty impressive duo at LB. With sub packages 85% of the time, they usually only have 2 LBs on the field.
  9. Poles confirms he has been in discussion for the 1st pick with 3 teams and says he can get a 2024 AND 2025 1st! https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/06/ryan-poles-chicago-bears-nfl-combine-draft-peter-king-fmia/?cid=fmiatw Peter King said this about potential trade partners: My guess is the 3 teams are Houston, Indy, and Carolina, but to get 3 1sts, I assume it is Carolina. Carolina has 2x 2nd rounders too. Would you do the #1 for #9, 2024 1st, 2025 1st, and #61? Unless you can guarantee you can trade down twice from 1 to 2 and 2 to 4, or 1 to 4 and 4 to something else, I think this would be a great haul, even if it is only a late 2nd. That would still give the Bears 4 picks in the top 64 and 3 picks within 11 picks from 54-64. They could then take the late 4th they got from the Quinn trade and pair that with the CAR or BAL 2nd and move back into the mid-40s in the 2nd.

ARob is available, he had some good chemistry with Fields, not! Who is going to willingly trade for that dude after seeing him taking every play off that he wasn't targeted?

Some really intriguing prospects. The Bears have to trade back and gain at least a mid to low 2nd rounder, to get 4 picks in the top 64. Based on the quality of players I am seeing, they should get 4 starters from that group.
  12. Yeah this is the perfect scenario for the Bears. If ARZ's pick is in play, even if Houston considers going Anderson at #2, if the Colts stayed put they would likely get no better than the QB3 and possibly QB4. The only other option for IND is to trade with ARZ to move up one, but that still might only get you QB3 if 2 come off the board 1-2.

The Bears are coming away with at least two of these top dudes. I can see them going DL with 2 of their top 4 picks (hopefully with some trade downs).
  14. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart-Rich-Hill.asp?RequestTeam=chi Here is the "new" trade chart. 1 = 1000 9+39+61= 626, next year's 1st and 2nd = 429 + 626 = 1055 So that makes a lot of sense. For CAR, can they afford to give up 5 picks in the top 61 over the next two years? I would be all over that because the Bears could use a combination of picks to move back into the back end of the first (if they wanted to).
  15. I am hearing people say this is going to hurt the Bears chances to trade down. In reality, it will help them because if Levis was projected to go #5 because of Young, Stroud, Carter, and Anderson, he is now #4. So in reality, the Bears double trade down scenario with HOU, then IND looks a lot more realistic.
  16. Tragic event. This type of crazy stuff happens all the time. I am surprised more people don't get caught or killed/injured. These dudes with incredible opportunities are so dumb some times. If you have that type of opportunity, why risk it partying (most of the time underage). Don't these guys know most places have traffic cams, even if they are not for red lights they record everything. If there is video of this, it will be a lot worse for him.
  17. Yeah I am no expert, just collating the major big boards that are out there. That is where Skoronski is listed. Not that he will go in the top 10, but he is on their top 10 big boards.
  18. Payne franchised after the Wentz cut, as expected. Hopefully the Bears can scoop up D. Jones from Denver.
  19. Here are the teams with extra picks in the top 3 rounds: HOU: #2, #12, #33, #65, #73 SEA: #5, #20, #37, #51, #83 DET: #6, #18, #48, #55, #81 CAR: #9, #39, #61, #93 PHI: #10, #30, #62, #94 PIT: #17, #32, #49, #80 NYG: #25, #57, #89, #100 Even after blowing the 1st pick, HOU is still in decent shape, 5 picks in the top 73. SEA and DET both have 4 picks in the top 60. When I was thinking about trading partners, I was looking into which teams had more flexibility to move up. Compared to someone like IND, who the Bears are linked to, would basically not pick again until the 4th round if they move up to #1.
  20. If he can get pick #33 AND a 1st rounder in 2024 to move down one pick, then he is already GM of the Year. To me, it is going to be either or with a few other picks. From previous trades, it looks like this: Moving down 1-2 picks: An additional 2nd rounder + more Moving down 3-5 picks: 1 additional first rounder + more Moving down 6-9 picks: 2 additional first rounders + more Trading of the 1st pick has only happened once in the last 21 years. The Titans traded away the #1 pick (Goff) to receive #15, #43, #45, #76, a 2017 1st (#5), and a 2017 3rd (#100). What really made it for them was the 1st rounder in 2017 ending up as #5. They got 2x 1sts, 2x 2nds, and 2x 3rds for 14 slots. Trading up for a QB or inside the top 5 has only happened a few times in the last few years as well. - In 2021, SF went 12 to 3 (9 slots not to #1) with MIA for Lance, and MIA got #12, 2022 1st, 2022 3rd, and a 2023 1st. So 3x 1sts, and 1x 3rd for 9 slots. - In 2018, the Jets traded #6, #37, #49, and 2019 2nd for #3 (3 slots); so a 1st, and 3x 2nds for 3 slots. For Darnold. - In 2017, the Bears traded up one slot with SF to #2 for #3, #67, #111, and a 2018 3rd (#70). So a 1st, 2x 3rds, and a 4th for one slot. Obviously for Trubisky. That's it, there really hasn't been much other movement in the top 5. One interesting theme, the QB traded up for really hasn't panned out. Lance is the only one still on his original team, Trubisky has now been on 3 teams, Darnold on 9, Goff on 2.
  21. The Bears have to trade out of #1. This is the best I could do if the Bears don't trade (5-rounds only), on a C on the OLine, no LBs, but did get Carter and some decent options at Edge.
  22. BTW, for those interested, this site does an awesome job of tracking mock drafts and big boards. That was one of the inputs I used. https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023 https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/mock-drafts/2023/consensus-mock-draft-2023
  23. That is true, Young and Stroud are basically top 4 and Levis was around 6 or 7. My thought was envisioning Poles' draft board, which those QBs and Robinson (RB) likely wouldn't be on there are not nearly as high to be picked in the top 10. This list was basically the best available consensus players for the Bears to choose from at the top, and my list at the bottom replacing unlikely candidates with some others that made some of the lists.
