  1. Still pretty shocked at the quality on this list. I would take almost every one of them over Pace. Role GM Candidate Name Team Interview Date Director of College Scouting Morocco Brown Indianapolis Colts TBA VP of Football Operations Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Cleveland Browns Thursday 1/13 VP of Player Personnel Glenn Cook Cleveland Browns Wednesday 1/12 (DONE) Assistant General Manager Ed Dodds Indianapolis Colts TBA Assistant General Manager Jeff Ireland New Orleans Saints Friday 1/14 Director of Player Personnel Ran Carthon San Francisco 49ers TBA Former General Manager Rick Smith Ex-Houston Texans TBA Assistant General Manager Joe Schoen Buffalo Bills TBA VP of Football /Business Admin Omar Khan Pittsburgh Steelers TBA Director of Scouting Elliot Wolf New England Patriots TBA Asstt Director Of Player Personnel Champ Kelly Chicago Bears Thursday 1/13
  2. Not a bad group. I am leaning towards Flores and Quinn for previous HCs and Daboll and Eberflus for Coordinators. Role HC Candidate Name Team Interview Date DC Leslie Frazier Buffalo Bills Sunday 1/16 HC Doug Pederson Ex-Philadelphia Eagles Wednesday 1/12 (DONE) OC Brian Daboll Buffalo Bills TBA OC Nathaniel Hackett Green Bay Packers Saturday 1/15 DC Todd Bowles Tampa Bay Buccaneers TBA OC Byron Leftwich Tampa Bay Buccaneers TBA DC Matt Eberflus Indianapolis Colts Monday 1/17 DC Dan Quinn Dallas Cowboys Late Next Week HC Brian Flores Miami Dolphins Friday 1/14
  3. That is the same thing I said yesterday ^ . Similar to Leftwich, hard to judge independent of some of the greatest QBs to ever play.
  4. Omar Khan is impressive, look what Pittsburgh has done over the last 20 years. He was supposedly informed he would not succeed the current PIT GM.
  5. Current interviews planned: Leslie Frazier Doug Pederson Brian Daboll Nathaniel Hackett Todd Bowles Byron Leftwich
  6. I get that the McCaskey presser was terrible, but George (no offense) is not a very articulate guy. However, you have to at least applaud the moves. It could've been easy to keep both Pace and Nagy. They could've blamed COVID, injuries, etc, and said look Nagy has a winning record. Pace has built a young core that can turn this thing around quickly. I am just glad they didn't go for the fool's gold. Then to move Phillips out of anything related to football decisions is exactly what everyone wanted. No more Phillips, Pace, or Nagy. That is about the best outcome that could've occurred. Also, would you rather have McCaskey looking for new GMs or someone like Polian? Accorsi and Polian are on two different levels. Polian is way more connected than Accorsi ever was.
  7. Did Morocco help draft Nelson, Leonard, and Smith? If so, that was one helluva draft. 2x All-Pros and a Pro-Bowler. Then also drafted Jonathan Taylor. He would not have been involved in trading for Wentz lol.
  8. Current interviews planned: Leslie Frazier Doug Pederson Brian Daboll Nathaniel Hackett Todd Bowles
  9. I would happy with Daboll or Hackett if they decide to go young coordinator, nor would I be opposed to Bowles or Pederson. I think all 4 are better than Nagy. Hackett would be the most scary because you really don't know what the team would look like without Rodgers at the helm. So I would put him 4th. What is interesting to me, it seems that there are enough good candidates this year that the Bears almost can't mess this up (please pin this comment to roast me later).
  10. Good tracker from Aaron: https://t.co/4e3bzOE8KD
  11. Mongo, well said. That's why I would rather take someone from a winning organization. However, it has to be the right guys. Pace came from NO and Nagy came from KC and they both underperformed.
  12. He was flat out dominant. That would be a 180 for how most of our current safeties play.
  13. Yeah, I didn't include him in that category as an active CFB Coach, but: Harbaugh 44-19-1, 5-3 in the post season, 3 winning seasons and no losing seasons, and 1 SB loss. He would clearly be the best option in terms of past success. His worst season was 8-8. He did that with Alex Smith and Colin Kaepernick. His QBs had an 82-31 TD/INT Ratio over 4 seasons.
  14. Me too. Here is how Flores, Pederson, and Frazier compare with other veteran coaches that are available (in order of winning %): 1. Zimmer is 72-56-1 in the regular season and 2-3 in the postseason with 4 winning seasons in 8 years. 2. Pagano is 53-43 in the regular season and 3-3 in the postseason with 3 winning seasons in 6 years. 3. Pederson is 42-37-1 in the regular season and 4-2 in the postseason with 1 SB win and 3 winning seasons in 5 years. 4. Nagy is 34-31 in the regular season and 0-2 in the postseason with 1 double doink and 1 winning season in 4 years. 5. O'Brien 52-48 in the regular season and 2-4 in the postseason with 5 winning seasons in 6 1/4 years. 6. Quinn is 43-42 in the regular season and 3-2 in the postseason with 1 SB loss (28-3) and 2 winning seasons in 5 1/2 years. 7. Flores is 24-25 in the regular season and has never made the postseason and had 2 winning seasons in 3 years. 8. Frazier is 21-32-1 in the regular season and 0-1 in the playoffs, with 1 winning season in 3 years. 9. Fangio is 19-30 in the regular season and no winning seasons in 3 years. 10. McDaniels is 11-17 in the regular season and no winning seasons in 2 years.
  15. Thoughts on the Browns roster? They have had so many #1 picks, it's hard to gauge. I mean, when you are getting 2 picks in the top 35, and 3 picks in the top 70 every year, an auto-draft could do what they have done.
  16. Oh really, I am going to have to read up on it. I didn't follow MIA much outside of their games.
  17. Congrats on the move, you are going to love the weather. I lived in El Paso for 6 years, which is slightly cooler than PHX. BTW, your wish has been granted BearFan PHX
  18. How could Miami think they could do better with another coach? It was the roster all along.
  19. I am shocked that the Dolphins fired Flores. Somehow Rhule and Judge have jobs. Miami went 10-6 and 9-8 the last two years with a terrible roster, in the AFC East with Buffalo and NE. They got rid of Tannehill, gave Flores Fitzpatrick and Tua and expected more than 19-14 in the last two years. That is wild.
  20. It's a great day in Bear Country. I am so happy they moved on from both Pace, Nagy, and Phillips. It was time.
  21. Here are players post-game discussing it:
