  1. Justin Fields just had his best game as a pro, a 63.4 QBR and that is with the stupid Mooney tipped ball INT. He had a career high in Comp% at 70.4, and two highlight reel TDs, I can watch those on loop all week. The Run: The pass: Those are the types of plays we have been waiting for. Notice no separation by James, no problem, rolling to his left and throwing it only where James could get it. The run was insane because it was also 4th Down and the original play call got blown up. SF was one of the better defenses the Bears have faced and they scored 22. That is progress. Now they need that big 27+ score game and string some of those together. So how did the other rookies do: Lawrence had a league-low QBR of 11.7 this week, Mills was second lowest at 12.6, Mac Jones was 52.7, White in place of Wilson was 54.1, and Lance didn't play. So Fields was the best of the bunch and 8th in the NFL this week. Mac Jones has been the most consistent and NFL ready QB thus far and it shows. He was clearly the safe pick. However, we are now seeing glimpses of what Fields can do. I rarely see another rookie highlight on NFL.com and Fields is already racking them up. I will be curious to see where his DVOA is at after this week's game.

    Monty vs Herbert

I wouldn't say that, but he lacks short area quickness. He has some nice jukes and has great body control, but he just doesn't have the same vision as Herbert or that speed to the hole. They actually compliment each other well. If they don't trade him, I wouldn't mind resigning him, but it can't be for top 10 RB money.
  3. Yep, very unlikely, but sometimes to stop the insanity, you have to try something different, and they just experienced a game without him and the results weren't as bad as they have been with him there.
  4. A little deceiving because Peters, Scales, Dalton, Foles, and Graham are all over 32. So it is a little skewed because each one of them a year older than 30 makes the roster average almost an entire year older than the rest of the league. The issue is when the core guys are over 30. Right now Hicks and Quinn are 31 and Mack is 30, those 3 are at the cusp.

    Patrick Mahomes

Just had his worst two games of his career back to back these last two weeks: He now has 10 INTs in 8 games (leads the league), and is on pace for 20+. The most he has ever thrown in a season was 12, and he had only thrown 11 in the last two years. He also has 2 fumbles lost for 12 turnovers (Tied for league lead with Lawrence). From reading some analyst's posts, it seems that teams have finally made an adjustment defensively to him and it is causing him major issues. For all the Trubisky talk, Mahomes may not actually be the GOAT after all. What is funny is this is who I thought he would be coming out of college. A guy that can throw 400+ with 5 TDs one game, then throw multiple INTs another game. You would have to live with the good and the bad. He still has 19 TDs, but if anyone watched the game last night, more than half his passes where BEHIND the LOS. Kelce has looked like crap lately, so their only real offense is Hill, but he can get bottled up too. Just interesting to see someone like him struggling after he was being mentioned with the all-time greats, yet very few have looked this bad this far into their career. I am wondering if his brother and wife are distracting him, because to be honest they seem like extremely annoying people.
  6. The defense that was top 10 already dropped out in most categories, now the middle of the road. Once the leader in sacks, now tied for 4th and falling. Pace put so much money into the defense and you rarely heard their names called for good plays. Millions in Goldman, Hicks, Nichols, Quinn, and Jackson (obviously injured) and they were really quiet yesterday. Now 3-5 and 3 straight losses. There is hope that the organization would fire Nagy in season, but then my assumption is Pace would stay. Either way, a loss to the Steelers would put the Bears at 3-6 going into a bye. Then the Ravens immediately after. That could easily be 3-7 with 5 straight losses, then 4 days later they play on Thanksgiving in Detroit. That is a tough game on short rest. 3-8 with 6 straight losses in back to back seasons and a prime time loss. How could Nagy survive that?
  7. With the loss to SF, the Bears basically sealed their playoff fate. Now tied for 11th in the conference, would have to pass no less than 4 teams and break the tie with 2 other teams just to get the last WC spot. Just one game back from CAR at 4-5, but also only one game ahead of WFT for the 2nd worst team in the conference. I smell a 6-7 win season and for Pace and Nagy to be gone at the end of the season. This would make the team have less than a .500 record since 2019. The team is regressing fast and the way the defense couldn't stop one player (Samuel) does not bode well for the remaining games. The best news was the growth of Fields. He was way more decisive when to run and made some great passes. Even on the TD to James, zero separation. The Bears are 31st in scoring (15.4 pts), 32nd in yards (294.3), 32nd in passing yards by a country mile (157.6), and 5th in rushing yards (136.6), 29th in 1st Downs, 28th in 3rd Down %, and 29th in 4th Down %. How does Nagy still have a job. You had one job Matt and you sucked at it.
  8. Fields had his best QBR since Detroit, a 63.7 which would win most games with a 70.4 comp %. The main issue is he was again sacked 4 times. 103 rushing yards was a career high.
  9. Deebo had an 83-yard and 50-yard reception (133 yds, Bears WRs had 117 yds total). Completely unacceptable, especially when they occurred, 25 secs left in the half when you need to protect against the explosive play and on a 3rd and 19 when you know they are going to the screen. ARob cannot get open, his performance has been pitiful. I thought he was a great possession WR, but fall is beyond belief. He had 3 receptions for 21 yards. Kmet, James, and Goodwin had more yards than him. Byrd got 50+ ball in NE last year and Nagy and staff cannot figure out how to get him the ball. Herbert had another solid game. I thought DHC was an upgrade over Jackson.
  10. This shows the roster construction by Pace is flawed. Zero playmakers outside of Fields and Herbert. WRs that can't get open, and too many dropped/tipped passes. Not a single offensive player has helped Fields out. Defense is now overpaid and old, keep 3-4 players, and firesale the rest. At this point, the team should move on from both Pace and Nagy.
  11. Welp that does it, 3-5 and out of the playoff race. Too many teams in front of them. Defense didn't stop SF on a single drive, they never punted. There is so much money on that side of the ball, they have to be better. Anywhere hear Goldman's name called? Dude is a ghost. DLine was supposed to be a strength, but the Bears are getting beat in the trenches. On the bright side, definitely Fields best game, even without any legit WRs and a bad O-Line. The rest of the year is no longer about wins and losses. Let's just see Justin gain experience and improve. Bears have to be sellers by Tuesday. Trade pretty much anyone on defense besides Roquan and Johnson. I would make pretty much anyone on the offense available outside of Fields, Monty, and Herbert. Obviously, keep Borom and Jenkins, but I would even let Daniels, Whitehair, or Mustipher go if someone is willing to give up draft capital for them.
  12. Defense has been gashed on screens. Can't send fewer defenders on that side, easy big gain when you have extra blockers. Same on the pitch plays. Bears offense needs to take notes.
  13. Yeah, it was masked by the FGs and missed kicks earlier. SF has yet to punt. The defense looks terrible. Not what I expected.
  14. HOLY SHIT JUSTIN FIELDS! He got hit at the 29 yard line behind the LOS and turned it into a TD. Are you serious? Over 100 yards rushing. That was on 4th and 1 no less.
  15. Welp, the defense just folded on that drive. Almost zero resistance and they still haven't even forced a punt. Now down by 7 with WRs can't get open.
  16. Herbert got kneed in the head, Bears go 3 and out. Now SF moving the ball and are already back in the RZ to end the 3rd quarter. The 49ers have yet to punt.
  17. Yep, ridiculous. Bears get called when Whitehair is 1.5 yards downfield, but 49ers can be 2+ yards downfield with ball in the air? Great play by DHC to save a TD. Then Quinn held again on that Jimmy G keeper. Another ez call missed. At least they missed the XP, Bears still lead 16-15 lol.
  18. Right now the Bears are winning on both sides of the ball, but the Deebo deep ball is what kept them in the game. The Bears TOP is 25 to 11 mins.
  19. Bears settle for FG, Fields accounted for 75 yards on that drive. He know has more rushing yards than Herbert (who is going backwards now) and 131 passing yards. Not much more you can ask him to do.
  20. Looks like they are run blitzing, need to attack that with the quick passes on play action.
  21. Quick slant on 3rd down to Goodwin with some pressure on Fields. Wild to see a WR with separation. SF now doing some run blitzes. Need to take advantage of that pressure.
