Fields has now thrown 3 INTs, the first one was when the LB dropped into coverage. His next one is was a tipped ball and the last one was on the blown call free play deep ball. So he really only has one bad Interception on the year. Compare that to Trubisky's 7 INTs as a rookie. He had 5 or 6 others that were dropped. To me Fields is improving every game. The receivers need to get open and the team needs to cut down on the drive killing penalties. I feel like he is on the cusp of a breakout game.

Rodgers threw for 195 yards. I could see if he torched us for 400 yards and 5 TDs, but any QB could have done what he did. Now since 2008, the Bears have failed to score 21 pts in 20 games out of the last 28 games and are now 5-23 in those games. If you ran out an average NFL QB for every game you would have won at least 20 of those games and the Packers have won 23. So to say he "owns" the Bears or the fans is a little silly when anyone could've done it over the same period of time.

I don't know, after that Cleveland game, there sure were a lot of hot takes about Nagy being fired. Now another loss to GB and in a way, the mishandling of Fields development. The team has to decide if Nagy is the right guy going forward and to me, nothing says that. Trubisky was never developed, both his hand-picked guys (Foles and Dalton) didn't look particularly good. The offense is experiencing one of the worst stretches since 2004 where it was last in points and yards. Right now they are 30th in points and 32nd in yards. This would be the 2nd worst offensive output in franchise history, just think about that and the amount of bad offenses this team has seen. This would be the 2nd worst. We have had worse players do more, that is on coaching. ARob is having his worst season of his career, Mooney is down, Kmet has not improved. Both Byrd and Goodwin were more productive elsewhere. It is clear as day who the problem is.....Eddie Jackson!!

Daboll has done wonders with Allen, however, would he have the same impact if he was the HC? That is always the concern. I would still take a chance, especially if we this ends up as another 7 or 8 win season.

Another random officiating blunder, how many people remember this play: Ball actually spotted 2 yards OUTSIDE of the hash? Somehow they still completed a pass to that side with a narrow field. It just shows the complete ineptitude of the officiating crew for the game.

Connor, I agree, it was definitely in the top 5 of worst officiated games in the last decade easily. They missed some calls on the Bears too, don't get me wrong, but it was overwhelmingly lopsided towards the Packers.

At 3-3, the Bears have to beat PIT, MIN, DET and NYG, lose to TB, ARZ, and GB, then go 2-2 against SF, BAL, SEA, and MIN to go 9-8. Still possible.

This was a tough one. QB - C-, I know he is a rookie and he didn't get time with the 1s, but at some point, we should see a bigger step forward. He had a higher yards per carry than yards per attempt in the passing game. I can't tell if this is Fields or Nagy's crap offense at this point. Just like Mitch, he has to learn to just throw the ball away instead of taking a sack, especially when he is getting wrapped up. I thought his biggest improvement was his scrambling as he had a career high on the ground with 43 yards. However, he took 4 sacks and at least two were totally on him. RB - A, Herbert was 19-97 and a TD on the ground and caught 2 for 15. He had a 2nd TD negated by a phantom holding call. His only blemish was a drop on a quick screen where there was some room to run. Not much more you can ask from a rookie 6th round RB. No other RB got a touch. WR - D-, This group is very disappointing. There is too much historical production and speed for these guys not to get open against 2nd Team DBs. I would seriously look to move ARob for a 3rd or 4th rounder. On two busted plays he just gave up on the ball. There is more there than just timing. He is doing nothing any of the other WRs can't do. Time to move on from him before the Bears get nothing for him. TE - D, Outside of Kmet, this unit is not doing much. Graham or James haven't done much, blocking was ok, but not to the level from the LV game. OL - D, This unit regressed from the last few games against some no-name dudes. Whitehair was getting pushed back into the backfield on every play. Some sack on Fields, but others on the O-Line. Running game was decent, but mainly due to Herbert's cutback ability. DL - D, Outside of Hicks sack, this unit didn't do too much. Did Goldman play? I didn't hear his name called once. GB's RBs got to the 2nd level too many times. LB - B, More sacks and TFLs from Mack and Quinn. Smith played decent. I still feel like they are weak against the run than they should be. Rodgers had two long scrambles, one for a TD. LBs need to close that gap better. CB - B-, Rodgers only threw for 195 yards, his lowest in a win, in a long time. Outside of one or two plays, the CBs held their own. S - F, Is there a grade lower than an F? A zero? Something needs to happen here, but the Safety's mistakes led to almost all of GBs explosive plays and TDs. I will say this again, Eddie Jackson is the worst player on the team and shouldn't be playing in the NFL. He has never been the same since his injury and based on his tweet in response to Lance Briggs' criticism shows me all I need to know about him. He is petty and sensitive. He literally dug up a 10 year old tweet on Lance Briggs' tackling, which is not easy to find. How about fix yourself, watch some game tape. Nope he is too busy responding to fair and accurate criticism about his play. Chris Conte looks like an All-Pro compared to him right now. I would take DHC, Bush, or even Christian over him right now. Gipson was not good either. Both missed tackles, and there are still no splash plays from this unit. The Bears lost due to terrible play design on offense and the play of their safeties on defense. I won't even comment on the officials, because that is out of the team's control. Highlights: Herbert, Fields scambling, Mack/Quinn Lowlights: Safeties, #BoJoke Thoughts?

Lovie was pretty good. Right now the offense still has Nagy written all over it. Did Lazor call more Zone runs, sure. Herbert looked great. However, the passing plays are still not there. On at least two of the Fields sacks, no one was open and they were all deep shots where defenders could cover 2 receivers at the same time. Kmet finally got some targets and was very effective. Why did they stop going to the well?

How do you have a chance when there are plays like this on scoring drives: Marked as a first down and he didnt even make it back to the LOS.
-
At this point, let him get the game experience. There is zero reason to start Dalton. It is not like he would've done much better than Fields. He definitely throws the ball away instead of taking those two late sacks, but he also doesn't escape and pick up two first downs with his scrambling. The last time he did that he injured himself. The play calling is still too conservative. Outside of the INT, did Fields have any high danger passes?
-
Oh, I didn't know that. If there was proof of more recent activity, then I could see them forcing him out. Either way, he technically was not disciplined by the league or the team.
-
Another big one. Big plays should be either great offensive plays or defensive plays. Not calls or missed calls.
-
Every game comes down to 2-3 plays. The Offense is still not good enough to win games. The defense, playing with 10 players (can't count Jackson), held Rodgers to under 200 yards passing and still lost by 10. Games come down to turnovers and penalties. If you lose both of those, you lose the game 99% of the time. The Bears lost both, without even watching the game, you would know there was a really high chance they lost the game. That's just a fact.
-
For me the turning point in the game was the blown call on the neutral zone/offsides on the Packers that resulted in an INT. This was after a GB 3 and out. 3rd and 7 from the GB 47. That was easy 4 down territory. Fields thinks he has a free play. The Packers get the ball at the 20, which turns that play into a 27 yard punt. The Packers then go 80 yards and score a TD, tie game. The penalty comparison was 7 for the Bears to 3 against the Packers. 7 - 3. You are not going to win many games with that many calls against you and for the other team. Almost all of those extended GB drives or killed CHI drives. That doesn't even count the numerous no-calls on GB. It's almost impossible to win if you are playing uphill.

Technically Gruden resigned. There was no way he could go back into that locker room after saying things like that. Everyone can speculate that he would've been fired if he didn't but we don't know that. Those were emails from a decade ago when he wasn't employed by the current employer, so the NFL or the team really couldn't do much to him for something that occurred before his employment. They would've been sued to hell. I am sure there was some type of mutual agreement.

I forgot to add in the original post, if the game is called fairly, the Bears have a shot. If not, they have no shot at winning. I totally forgot about the officials. They are so one-sided, it is sickening. Just the holding and lack of holding calls. Even on the Bears last 4th Down, they call holding, yet Fields is hit late, no call, and there was a clear DPI no call in the end zone (push in the back) on the throw.
-
Yeah, what are they going to fumble on the kneel?
-
Where is the outlet or check down on some of these plays? Fields continually tries to do too much and takes a sack instead of throwing it away. He has to know the situation.
-
Yeah man, hard not to speculate on some of that. Mustipher had a phantom hold yet GB never gets called for ANY holds, like zero. On Rodgers TD run and Jones TD, both easy holding calls, 10 times worse than whatever they thought Mustipher was doing, yet they are not called.
-
I have been saying this for a long time. He is the worst player on the roster, and should not be playing every snap on defense. How can the defensive coaches watch the tape and say he is worthy of being a starting free safety on this team? He is an outside corner and technically did his job all game. Not his best game, but held his own. Adams only had 4 receptions for 89 yards and the big one was Jackson's failure.
-
On GBs next drive, Quinn with the sack and the defense forces a 3 and out. You can tell Rodgers is aware of the pass rush. Then Grant gets hurt on the next punt return, ugh.
-
Wow, Bears 7-0. That was quick. Super efficient drive, Fields looks sharp. Herbert TD run after an 8 play 80 yard TD drive. Kmet, ARob, and Mooney with receptions. Goodwin draws easy DPI call. Fields was 3-3 for 46 yards. All started from Grant's 11 yard punt return from the 9 yd line. Let's go!
-
Hell yeah, impact play stops a drive. Rodgers goes down like a wet noodle. Great heads up play by Grant on the punt return.
