  1. Dalton checked down on at least 75% of the plays, and almost immediately. Fields had more attempts 10+ yards in a quarter than Dalton had in 5+ quarters. Nagy needs to give Fields a week of prep with the 1's, and use plays that use Fields strengths. Sitting him in a pocket that is collapsing is the worst idea and Nagy left him back there. The Edge Rushers were playing meet at the QB. Nagy has to move the pocket, use some bootlegs and roll outs. This is mobile QB 101. I liked that Fields slid a few times and didn't attempt to break tackles outside of the spin move.
  2. There is also a huge difference in game prep. Fields is the Scout Team QB. Runs plays that the other team has against our Defense. That is totally different than getting 1st Team reps, building timing with Center and receivers. Once he gets a few weeks of prep under his belt, he will be fine. The INT is on him, but a good learning moment. I doubt he falls for that again. If Kmet is not called for the phantom OPI and ARob doesn't look like Wims, there is a completely different narrative as that was 10 points off the board. Also, Mustipher didn't help much, in block nor hiking the ball. He was getting turnstiled on almost every play and was completely off when Fields was in there. I blame Nagy as much as Fields, Nagy elected to give Fields very little time with the ones.
  3. And the Week 1 Secondary makes a return, Vildor gets burned and Jackson tackles him instead of Chase, Bengals TD. Ugh.
  4. Yeah, stats will say he struggled, but WR's not doing much to help him out.
  5. LMAO, 3 straight INTs against Burrow! Now Blackson with the pick after the tip by Ogletree. This defense looks completely different than last week.
  6. Roquan with a huge Pick-6, he is playing at an All-Pro level. Then on the next pass, Jaylon with his first career INT. Then ARob drops a perfectly placed pass for a TD by Fields. He looked like Wims there. Then Kmet gets a completely bogus OPI on another easy first down. These refs have been terrible. If they called this game close to even, its Bears by 20+.
  7. It also makes the defense commit a player to Fields as a spy, thus opening up passing lanes up with one less defender.
  8. Jackson with the strip and Gipson with the recovery, Bears ball! Redemption tour for the Safeties after last week. Let's GO!!!!
  9. Nagy has no clue what to do with his weapons. Move that damn pocket, play action, roll outs. Come on Nagy.
  10. Fields with a fumble on a blind side sack, but is somehow able to recover. That was close to a scoop and score. Still not as bad as Wilson's day lol: 4 for 10, 54 yards, 4 INTs, 18.3 rating
  11. Yeah, that was a weak call, but Quinn has to know better. They are calling lesser ones. That cost the defense 3 pts, hopefully that doesn't come back to haunt them later. The pass rush is finally going. They need to keep up with the pressure, blitzes and fake pressure. The Bengals O-Line is about as bad as the Bears O-Line.
  12. Nichols with the sack to finish the half with a shutout. Fields didn't have much time, the O-Line is playing like crap.
  13. Quinn looks healthy. This is the type of production we were expecting last year.
  14. Dalton looks gimpy, not moving at all. Then of course, on 3rd and long, they throw for 5 yards.
  15. Wow, Jackson with a huge run blitz and tackle for loss on 3rd down. Then Vildor with the pass break up on 4th down to force the turnover on downs.
  16. I think he just tweaked it a little on those two scrambles. Gipson with another missed tackle, man he sucks. So a penalty, terrible coverage, and a missed tackle.
  17. Dalton tweaks his ankle and Fields is in. Then on 4th Down, they do a QB sneak but the line goes the wrong way. Why not go RPO and give Fields an option for 1 yard? Terrible call by Nagy, go figure.
  18. These refs are ridiculous. Mack is held on every play, but they call a hold on an inside run on Daniels which is really hard to do.
  19. Refs calling too many ticky tack things. Then don't call DPI on Apple who went over the back of Goodwin on the Fields pass. Monty with a beautiful juke on the big play called back.
  20. Gipson had that stupid penalty and left 15 yards of cushion for an easy 10 yard reception. He is the worst player on the starting defense.
  21. Wow, Robert Quinn on a stunt for the sack on 3rd down to force a punt. That's half his sack total from last year.
  22. The Bears stop the Bengals on 3rd Down and Gipson gets a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for taunting to give them a first down, WTF!
  23. Great first drive. A huge Defensive PI call (easy call) which would've been a catch if Goodwin wasn't pushed before the ball got there. Dalton looked good, not much of a running game, but you can't complain much with an opening TD drive to start the game.
