Caleb had a 38.8 QBR against LAR. So the last 2 weeks he has improved from 21.1 > 35.6 > 38.8. So there is progress. Sacks have went from 7 > 4 > 3. INTs went from 2 > 2 > 0 and he had his 2nd straight game with a TD pass. With how bad the O-Line still is and now injury to Jenkins, this is decent work. He just needs to continually improve week in and week out.

Caleb had 6 incompletions, and I think 3 were throw aways, all the incompletions were low risk I do not think he had a single high danger throw. I would have liked to have seen some more throws over the middle and some more hot routes to avoid the pressure. Still don't understand that, but overall, zero INTs and no WTF throws is progress.

Is DJ hurt? What the hell are these routes? These were his targets, not a single cross, slant, in, etc, etc. What is Waldron doing here?

I am 3 for 3 I think. I complained about how bad Taylor was (and he was), and he comes out kicking like we expected him to for 3 weeks. Injured maybe? He looked totally different, those kicks were booming. I complained about Swift and he was the all-purpose back I expected to see. I complained about Moore who does seem off. Pouty face on sidelines, flailing on the ground when the ball was not accurate, not running the correct choice routes, giving up on routes when the ball is coming to him, etc. Then he finally scores on a great pass and catch. The O-Line still needs work. I also don't like how many penalties Kmet had today. The entire team needs to cut the penalties, especially pre-snap, at home by 75%, just too many drive killers. Overall, a much better game. Some things to shore up on both sides of the ball. Stafford was 11-13 in the MoF beyond the LOS, and was 4-4 in the MoF beyond 15 yards. That is crazy. The Bears in zone have to clean up the coverage on the in breaking routes. They had no answer. I am surprised the Rams didn't keep going back to those. Look at Stafford's chart:

The Steelers are hilarious, Fields has a 300-yard passing game, 3 total TDs, 55 yards rushing, and the lost lol. They had the ball down 3 and couldn't even get to midfield. Sound familiar? Love threw 3 INTs and GB lost.

Low yardage, but 73.9%, 106.6 Passer Rating, and most importantly no turnovers for Caleb.
-
So close to a roughing the passer penalty, but he did tip the ball I believe. ball game

Taylor also got the memo.

At this point, I am sure they are protecting Herbert from injury so they can trade him. This is his last year under contract, hard to see them extending him with Swift's contract and the recent drafting of Roschon.

It will be curious to see how many yards and passes were completed inside the numbers for Stafford. Once he sees it is zone with the guy in motion, he knows exactly where he is going. How the Bears defense isn't ready for that, I have no clue. Atwell and Whittington lead the game for receptions and yards for WRs, for both teams.

Same in cutting routes all day long.

Same in cutting routes all day long against this defense.
-
Oh no way, I will keep eating crow all year long as long as he plays like this. This is what I expected. Maybe he had an injury, but the way he is running is night and day compared to previous games.
-
OK, now the pass to Kmet was precision. Then the run by Swift with actual blocking assignments. Amazing how much different the offense looks when in tempo.
-
Still no holding calls on the Rams.
-
Complain about Swift, he finally gets his head out of his ass. Complain about Moore, scores a TD. I like the trend. Jokes aside, that may have been the Bears best drive of the season, 6 rushes, 6 pass plays, no penalties, very efficient, defense was gassed. Great pass and catch to finish it off.
-
They refuse to call holding on the Rams, it is maddening.
-
Rams have most of their yards over the middle, LBs are a non-factor in pass def, they are going to need to step up. Otherwise, the defense only allowed 6 pts and gave the offense a short field on the strip sack.
-
Moore is starting to look like ARob 2.0 wtf. There have been way too many of these targeting him this year. The him and Caleb not being on the same sheet of music when pretty much every confirms (this time Sanchez) that Caleb was in the right. He had to throw it like that because a loft gives the Safety too much time to get over. If Moore just kept running the same speed he runs right into that pass. Also, how is there no DPI against Rome? That was blatant right at the top of the route, easy call.
-
Remember the Rams have a bottom 3 defense.

Wow this team is bad. Anyone wanna reconsider Pole's roster construction with this O-Line? Keeping Flus? Hiring Waldron? This all starts with Poles and ends with Flus and the coaching staff. Where are all the quick routes? Get the ball out of Williams hands. This is not rocket science.
-
Screens never worked unless you use them once per game. Not once per drive. Max Protect that allows 2 free rushers is a problem. Looks like nothing has changed unfortunately. Can we just have a normal offense that throws a variety of passes beyond the LOS?
-
Yeah, that's on Waldron. Stretch them out, all those short plays and they have 9-10 in the box.
-
Throwing behind the sticks on 3rd Down rarely works.
-
Yeah durability is the concern. Daniels can definitely be a top 10-15 QB annually as long as he stays healthy.
