Andrew Luck just announced he is retiring per Schefter.

Just some quick notes as the plays happen: - Kwiatkoski has looked much better, had a sack and some nice tackles in first half. - Deon Bush with a 91-yard pick-6. - Ryan Nall looks like a wrecking ball. Had a huge 69-yard run in first half. - Chase Daniel still looks like garbage. - Eddy Pineiro just kicked a 58-yarder straight down the middle. Would've been good from 60.

I will be keeping Tyreek Hill (3rd) for my 2nd, and Courtland Sutton (16th) for my 14th. With a few of the top RB's and Mahomes off the board, that really slides some 2nd rounders up and I don't want to miss out on a top guy with my 3rd pick not until pick #29, so I am taking a huge chance on Hill reproducing his WR2 status from last year (2nd to Jones). Keepers: T. Hill (KC) and C. Sutton (DEN) Picks: 2nd (Pick #12) and 14th (Pick #132)

Nope, you lose your 11th and 12th. You drafted Golladay in the 12th (lose a 11th), and Chubb in the 14th (lose a 12th).

No worries man, I know everyone is busy, so I just try to help out where I can.

Kicker Battle - Elliott Fry waived, Pineiro's job to lose
adam replied to Connorbear's topic in Bearstalk
It is Pineiro's job to lose now. Either he kicks well or we are waiver wire hunting before the regular season. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001042496/article/bears-waive-elliott-fry-kicking-battle-remains-open -
RIP Cedric, crazy to hear the news after what I experienced last night. I came upon a motorcycle accident on an interstate off-ramp, 3rd car on scene, immobilized the guy's head/neck until paramedics arrived. He was not in good shape. Then I hear the news about Cedric this morning....

Here are the current draft windows following the last preseason games on Thursday: Friday August 30th - currently open (6pm - 11pm CT) Saturday August 31st - currently open (10am - 11pm CT) Sunday September 1st - currently open (10am - 11pm CT) Monday September 2nd - Stinger is unavailable at 8pm CT (6pm-7pm; 10pm-11pm) Tuesday September 3rd - Stinger is unavailable at 6pm CT (8pm-11pm) Wednesday September 4th - MadLith is unavailable (unavailable) I would prefer to have keepers locked in at least the day before the draft, if possible.

The dates haven't been set yet, but they both obviously need to occur by 04SEP.

He runs with such determination, and never goes down on first contact. He is a huge upgrade over Howard. Teams are going to have to respect the run, so I can imagine a lot of RPO and Play Action this year.
-
A quick 3 and out and a punt with Bray (who looked like a hot mess). On the punt, CAR gets a huge return and Montgomery makes the stop to prevent a TD. On a short field, CAR scores easily and take the lead.
-
The Bears get into FG range but Pineiro misses wide left on 47-yarder. The Bears defense come up big again with RRH getting a big sack. Daniel leads a late 2nd quarter hurry up drive and connects with Bunting for a huge gain with a few seconds left. That leaves a 43-yarder and Fry nails it to end the half. Bears up 10-6 at half.
-
Nick Williams getting a lot of pressures, then Deon Bush makes an easy INT. Great series for the defense.
-
Montgomery is going to be fun to watch. After Bears defense creates a fumble, the Bears move the ball nicely with Montgomery carrying the load. He had one crazy spin move near the LOS that allowed him to gain 3 more yards. Then a hard stutter step and bounces it outside for an 8 yard TD run! He is going to be a beast. Fry in for the XP, and it's good!
-
Montgomery with a nice run, bounces it outside for a few extra yards. Then takes a short swing pass. Bunting makes a nice catch and it is negated by a phantom holding penalty. On the next play Daniel is sacked and the Bears punt.
-
2nd drive for Panthers, on 4th down they make it, then end up making a FG. Kwiatkoski missed another tackle on a long screen play.
-
A really odd first series for the Bears, or the trend. I believe they did the same thing last year? Trubisky in and hands off to Mike Davis 3 times, for a 3 and out.
-
Bears deferred the ball and kicked off to CAR. Pineiro kicks a touchback 8 yards into end zone. Notable plays: Kwiatkoski is out of position and let's up a long dump off pass to the RB. Roquan Smith comes in on a blitz up the middle and almost kills the QB (he has a family). Smith is going to be a Pro Bowler this year. On 3 and long, pass incomplete, Panthers punt.

Alaska, on a few of his scrambles, there was nowhere to throw the ball. Sometimes the defense gets it right and has everyone covered. On a few he missed an open guy, but we don't know what his progression was on that play. Either way, he seems to get flak for doing things that other more seasoned QBs do, or in this case, Mahomes had very similar mistakes but doesn't get the criticism like Mitch does.
-
Compare to Mahomes' INTs, of his 12 INTs, he had at least 3 bad reads, and some other terrible throws. Oddly enough, very similar to Trubisky's. 1. BAL - Under pressure, just throws it up (bad throw) 2. CLE - Under pressure, long INT at end of half (bad throw) 3. LAR - Lazy form, throws right to defender (bad throw) 4. LAR - Arm hit 5. LAR - Under pressure, long throw, underthrow (bad throw) 6. CIN - Throws into triple coverage (bad throw/read) 7. DEN - Overthrow (bad throw) 8. NE - Throws right into LB (bad read) 9. NE - Under pressure, throws into triple coverage in end zone (bad read) 10 JAX - Terrible overthrow (bad throw) 11. JAX - late throw (bad throw) 12. OAK - deep underthrow (bad throw)
-
That is correct, 11th and 16th for a 10th and a 14th.
-
Yeah, and from the last reports, he if finally building a rapport with Trubisky as they seem to be getting more and more on the same sheet of music.
