  1. You can't just pick a QB regardless at #3 because top 5 picks do not come around often. If we have a QB rated in the top 10, then you pick him at #3. If we don't (or they are already selected) you take the best player available.
  2. I could see an argument either way. We are about to have our worst season in 40+ years and we don't know who are QB is going into next season. On the other hand, like you said, we have played competitive and had leads in many games with 3rd stringers and guys off the Practice Squad.

    Jordan Howard

I think you play him as normal until halftime, then figure out resting him in the 2nd half. If we were worried about injuries in meaningless games, all of our starters for 2017 would've been resting for 6 weeks now.
  4. Nothing changes with the guy. Another season without a playoff appearance for him is now no longer a coincidence.
  5. I don't think Watson makes it into the 2nd, but if we take #36 and #68, you can move back into the first at #22. In this scenario, we would lose Kupp, but if we re-sign Alshon, and maybe sign someone like Pryor, Stills, Wood, or Aiken, we could close that void. Revised Draft: 1. #10-Marlon Humphrey, CB 1. #22-Deshaun Watson, QB 2. #33-Ryan Ramczyk, OT 3. #65-Budda Baker, S 4. #99-Chad Wheeler,OT,USC 4. #108-Gerald Everett, TE 5. #131-Tanoh Kpassagnon,DE 7. #193-Tarik Cohen, RB
  6. With the news of the Rex Ryan firing, I was looking to see who the lead candidates would be for HC jobs going into next season. We may or may not retain Fox (still up in the air) after potentially our worst season since 1969, but I could see both sides of the argument. With previous HC experience: Tom Coughlin, 70 ys old, 170-150 regular season record, too old for long-term position? Rex Ryan, 54 yrs old, 61-65, seems to be more mouth than anything else Gus Bradley, 50 yrs old, 14-48, never did anything outside of Seattle Josh McDaniels, OC New England, 40 yrs old, 11-17, the Cutler of coaches, everyone seems to hate him Jim Schwartz, DC Philadelphia, 50 yrs old, 29-51, seems better suited for Coordinator role Coordinators: Kyle Shanahan, OC Atlanta, #1 scoring team in league, #2 in yards, I would not be opposed to him (especially if we retained Fangio) Sean McDermott, DC Carolina, 28th scoring defense, 22nd in yards, defense regressed big-time this year Matt Patricia, DC New England, #1 scoring defense, 8th in yards, defense has been dominant, but us Bill pulling strings, either way I would be interested Teryl Austin, DC Detroit, 13th in scoring defense, 15th in yards, average production, nothing special Darrell Bevell, OC Seattle, 20th scoring, 15th yards, should've just run Beastmode So out of those 10, I would say Shanahan or Patricia would be my top two candidates. Now, I know there are other candidates like McCoy in SD or Rivera in CAR, but they are still employed so I did not include them. What do you guys think?

    Cousins

Pix, You had to bring up the Mirer trade? That had to be one of the worst trades of all-time. We gave up the #6 pick in the 1997 draft for him. Seattle selected Walter Jones who is a HoFer. Also, we picked John Allred, a TE with our 1st pick in the 2nd round. So if we used the #6 pick on a TE, it could've been Tony Gonzalez.

    Cousins

I don't think he will be available. Why would Washington let him go after all the years of misery with the RG3 experiment? The only drawback to signing Cousins now is that he will be 29 in 2017 and you would've lost a good 4-5 years of his prime. I like him as a player and wouldn't complain if we went for him because he would be better than anything we had in a long time, but I think we are going to go the draft route with Hoyer/Shaw.
  9. Congrats to Victorious Secret on his big win, 6th seed with losing record to League Champion!
  10. Not for 1st round, our SoS is too high. We could tie them and draft 2nd every other round starting in the 2nd though.

    Draft Status

    1. Browns 1-14 (.564) - @ PIT 9-5 2. 49ers 2-13 (.513) - vs SEA 9-5-1 3. Jaguars 3-12 (.546) - @ IND 7-8 4. Bears 3-12 (.520) - @ MIN 7-8 5. Jets 4-11 (.492) - vs BUF 7-8 6. Titans ~ Rams 4-11 (.538) vs ARZ 6-8-1 The best scenario for us is obviously a loss, a SF, JAX and NYJ win. The NYJ win would also help our 4th rounder from BUF. If we can tie SF, we would at least swap with them for subsequent rounds. A Jags loss locks us into at worst the 3rd pick in every round. A win and we shouldn't fall below 5th because the Rams SoS is a lot higher than ours and the Week 17 opponents have similar records (and if we win we actually make MIN's record worse, thus lowering our SoS). So I still believe we are locked into 3rd to 5th with a potential best to tie SF (unlikely due to SEA) and rotate with them every round for the 2nd pick.

    A positive

Could be our #1, Alshon is not signed and White may never live up to be anything. Either way, Meredith is definitely a keeper and could become a solid #2 for this team.
  13. Jacksonville just pulled away, we now pick 3rd!
  14. Looks like the Championship will be settled today with the 6th seed, Victorious Secret holding a considerable lead over the 1st seed, The Mad Lithuanians, but will ultimately come down to the later games. In the Consolation bracket, all games are projected to be within 5 pts of each other; still competitive in the final week. Thanks for the great year, I was decimated with injuries losing my top 2 picks (AP, Allen) and Woodhead for most of the season, but tried to hang in there with the big boys.
  15. 5th INT...... Seriously, this is sickening now. Just put someone else back there and hand off to RBs.
  16. He still has to make the throws when they count. He has thrown some bad balls and had some terrible reads.
  17. Barkley with his 4th INT, regardless of receivers and protection, he generally looks terrible. Way more bad than good. Some ugly throws, it doesn't look like he has the arm strength to make certain throws. I am now thinking Hoyer or Shaw and saying no to Barkley. I've seen enough, Redskins are not that good. He now has 11 INTs, every 17 attempts or so. Not good.
  18. Is it the scheme? Is the 3-4 going to work with our personnel? I think we need a lockdown CB regardless. Jackson has been wide open most of the game.
  19. Just get Howard his 100+ yards and give him a shot at Bears rookie record.
  20. Draft Update: 1. Browns 0-14 (.564) - winning by 3 but with their luck they will lose 2. 49ers 1-13 (.513) - a winnable game against LA, but we can't pass them, so who cares 3. Jaguars 2-12 (.546) - win baby win, up 15 against Titans 4. Bears 3-11 (.520) 5. Jets 4-10 (.492) - getting demolished, Marshall has rubbed off on the Jets 6. Titans via trade with Rams 4-10 (.538) - Rams against SF, a Rams win helps us more Based on SoS, it looks like we can do no worse than 5th and no better than 3rd.
  21. His interception into triple coverage leaves a lot to be desired. Very Cutler-esque.
  22. Defense looks bad, offense ok. The best news from today is Jacksonville is winning by 15.
  23. I was thinking maybe O'Donnell, but he was 14th in the NFC in Punt Average, my bad.

    Goldman to IR

I agree that we definitely need a new support staff, as we have had medical issues with numerous players for years. White's injury and now Fuller's seems like the staff has no clue. We obviously need better conditioning as well
