That had to be one of the worst and biased officiated games I have seen in awhile. There were so many no calls against GB it was ridiculous. The refs alone accounted for 20 pts as they kept GB drives alive.

My guess is that Barkley starts against MIN and we see Cutler after the bye.

About injuries, they are part of the game, you probably can expect all teams to have 2-3 starters out at any given time, but I believe we are in double digits now (for starters). Cutler, Langford, Royal, White, Grasu, Sitton, and Long on offense, then Goldman, Ferguson, Houston, McPhee, Fuller, Floyd, Callahan, and Trevathan have all missed games.

So defense gets dink and dunked apart and then forces a FG. Offense can't get running game going and Hoyer has missed some deep passes.

McPhee, Floyd, Callahan, and Porter are all playing.

Looks like no Sitton, no McPhee, no Royal; should be fun.

AZ, I agree with your assessment, but how many more DB's can we draft? Remember we drafted Bush, Hall, and Houston-Carson this year, Amos last year and Fuller and Vereen in 2014. In the last 3 years and 23 picks, 6 have been DB's with only 2x LB's. I almost think we need to throw away need altogether and just draft truly BPA. We need playmakers everywhere.

The Bears have actually played some decent football in almost every game (not vs DAL) this season. We started the season taking a 14-13 lead into the 4th quarter against Houston, were only down 9-7 at halftime against PHI, went into the 4th at IND down by 6, and shutout the Jaguars for 3 quarters. With all the injuries, we have actually showed some potential. I don't know if you can say the same for Cleveland, who looks destined for 0-16; SF, who even with Kaepernick looks like a 2 win team, and after tonight, you can put the Jets into the "sucks ass" category too. I don't think we are as bad as these 3 teams right now (not saying much, I know). So when does Marshall go off and lose it? Forte is now averaging 3.5 YPC and is on pace for his lowest totals for a full season since his rookie year. So at least Pace got that one right. I know some people wanted Bowles (I think I was in that camp), but man he doesn't look very good right now.

Seeing how bad the defense has been (with consistency), it would be nice to get him back, especially against the Pack. I would not mind going 3-13 with 2 more wins against the Pack only.

Team loss, not entirely on Hoyer though you would like him to step up at least once when we need him to lead the team to a win. He has had several chances. Now 4x 300 yard games and a 1-3 record. I still think this is coming down to Loggains and a horrible game plan. Jeffery, Royal, Miller, Meredith, and Howard, and we score 16 pts? I see too many routes with 2x receivers very close to each other. The field is too big to have 2 out of 4 receivers 3-4 yards from each other. That makes defending that area very easy. Also, where is the 2-minute drill with quick hitting slants, etc. I am sick of the lateral throw behind the LoS for a loss of 2-3 yards. How many times are we going to do that. We don't have a speedy slot guy for that to work properly.

Brady and Bill make a lot of players look good though.

We're 1-5 with 3 losses in the AFC South. That is pitiful. Obviously the injuries are impacting the defense, but the offense should not only be scoring 16 pts a game. That is sad. Loggains needs to go. Horrible play calling. There is no point in winning anymore games, but I have a feeling we will and end up 5-11 and drafting around 10 again.

I believe you are correct, it is tied to the O-Line, they are adding new wrinkles into the game plan. Now could Cutler step in his first week back and do the same thing Hoyer is doing right now? I don't think so.

With Meredith stepping up to fill in for White, and Jeffery, Miller, Royal, and now Howard, this offense has the potential to be virtually unstoppable. It seems like someone is open on every play and Jeffery can even make catches when completely covered. If we can convert in the RZ, we should be scoring in the high 20's to low 30's every game. Now the defense is another story.

Now that I think of it, no way Miami takes Cutler, which is basically a riskier/older proposition than Tannehill. If Gase did that, he ends up putting his entire coaching career on Cutler. No way he does that. The best team with the worst QB is actually Denver. If anyone wanted a Sam Bradford type of acquisition for a playoff run, it would be Denver. However, due to the history with the team, I don't see Cutler going to Denver. However, Hoyer might be increasing his trade potential before the deadline. Just a thought. If he is not a long term option, trade the one with the most value, and let the other play the season out here.

Nope, and considering the move to Center, (and the availability of Sitton), we really scored there. How about Foster too? I always liked him and didn't understand why he never made the team in the first place.

Yeah I agree, and it does feel odd saying Hoyer has looked good but looking at his game logs, he has had some good runs before.

Based on Fox's comments last week, if Hoyer played well this week, he would keep the starting job. It will be interesting to see if they keep Cutler in street clothes. I am kind of torn on this. Do you play Cutler due to salary (and possibly as an audition), or do you play Hoyer with the intent to keep him as a bridging strategy going forward? Cutler is the oldest player on the roster now with Gould gone. Our Firesale would be a clown car on fire.... Who do we have that someone else would want? Young ($4.1mil)? Porter($4mil)? Miller($2.5mil)?
