Anyone miss Forte now? Langford looks like a good change of pace back now. Howard is legit.
-
Seriously, Hoyer, Meredith, and Howard? On Fire!
-
Back to back weeks with 300 yard passer, 100 yard rusher and 100 yard receiver. Wow!
-
Why even have a returner, just fair catch the damn thing? WTF.
-
I think our offense looks pretty good. Hoyer, Howard, and Meredith have been consistent, the O-Line has been decent and if we can close out some drives with TD's we will be in good shape.
-
Covering Hilton would help too though, so it is not all on the lack of pass rush.
-
Hoyer 13-16, 142 yards, 1 TD, 124.5 QB Rating, I really don't know what else he can do. Howard is 8-79 with a 57 yarder. Alshon has 1 reception and 1 target.
-
Our defense is brutal, I can't believe we have basically revamped the entire unit and it is still bad. Callahan is one of the only bright spots, otherwise, we have zero pass rush and for some reason our DB's are not covering anyone.

Wow, great series for Howard, Hoyer and Meredith. That was a sweet TD throw. Great to see a TD and overcome the penalties.

Go Bears? I hate these kind of seasons, I don't see us doing anything realistic but also hate to see us lose. We have winnable games the next two weeks, and could go into GB at 3-3. The injury report is hilarious (in a bad way): http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/chi/injuries I think we need some better/new strength and conditioning coaches and need to change our offseason regime. Too many injuries year in and year out to be chance. I would like to see Howard continue to play well and some of the other young players step up and make plays with the opportunities they have. My guess is if Hoyer plays well and we win, that he will continue to be the starting QB (and they will hopefully look to unload Cutler before the deadline for anything). Freeman has been a bright spot on the defense and hopefully everyone rises to his level of play against his old team. Bears 20-13

I'm no doctor but if the tibia is stronger with the rod in it the next bone to go is going to be the supporting fibula. Also, I assume there is somewhat less flexibility and RoM with a rod in so that would put more pressure on the other bone, similar to the ulna and radius in the arm. To me this injury was probably the biggest risk after that type of surgery. Either way it sucks because that leg is always going to be more susceptible to injury. Next will be an ankle or knee injury in the same leg.
-
Not related? Same leg, it's related.
-
If that is the case, he will never be the same.
-
Seriously, dude is a bust, a break after a rod in your shin? This dude need some vitamin D.
-
Is it the same leg? If so, this will be a reoccurring thing. Sucks because he has so much potential.

So 3 games in and a lot of the same. It is hard for me to determine which side of the ball is worse. The defense just gets gashed play after play and can't get off the field. Then the offense goes 3 and out and does them no favors. I don't understand the offensive game plan and the defense just can't get pressure. The team has all these alibis now and I can see them using "injuries" as an excuse. Right now I can't see us beating anyone.

I'm done with Cutler, Hoyer looked much better. Cutler has another phantom injury after some terrible turnovers, sound familiar? A freaking rookie looked better than Cutler, and he was on the road.
-
So after 2 games, we can pretty much validate: 1. Cutler will never win anything, another phantom injury after multiple bad turnovers. It is time to move on. I would rather lose with Hoyer than lose with Cutler. 2. Langford is no Forte. Even though Forte has slowed he still looks better than Langford. Howard even looked better. 3. Miller is no Bennett. He gets touched and goes down. 4. White is no Marshall. Still waiting for him to do something. 5. Gould looks pretty good now. Barth's onside kick was pitiful and that was after a missed 31yd FG. 6. Dowell Loggains is a freaking joke, just fire him now. 7. I am starting to think Fox and Fangio are both over the hill. How can you be fairly competitive in the first half and look that bad after halftime? Adjustments anyone? 8. Freeman and Royal seem like the only players that give a crap. 9. If we can't beat Osweiler or Wentz, it is hard for me to see us winning more than 3 or 4 games. 10. At this point we are clearly not a playoff team and I doubt we finish 10-4, so I would look for trading partners now and move some dead weight.

He had 3 Red Zone TD's tonight and had 30 carries. 30 carries is a career high (his career best was 27 and he only had more than 25 twice). The interesting note is that he only averaged 3.3 yards per carry and that was against some very soft front 7's due to NY's passing game (3-4 WR sets). So for the season he is now averaging 3.76 yards per carry and is on pace for 416 carries, which would be 100 more than his career high (as a rookie) and only 2nd time he broke 300. I would be amazed if he made it to that mark either due to low YPC or due to wear and tear but it will be interesting to see. Watching the game tonight, Forte had several large gains with gaping holes where he wasn't touched until 5-6 yards past the LOS. He also flashed some of his patented moves as well, but his raw numbers would be much worse with a weak O-Line. Langford has flashed, and hopefully he can become more consistent and the line can give him a little bit of space.
-
He juggled the ball and slid out of bounds, but in HOU, its a catch.
-
You can't beat the refs.
-
Seriously? Osweiler loses yards and they give him a yard on the spot for a first? Cutler gains a yard and loses a yard on the spot? Complete BS!
-
How is that not pass interference? Alshon mugged now and no call, then drops an easy first down, ugh.
-
Yeah 2 huge punts.

Floyd with a sack!
