Vitale, Watt, or Gronkowski at FB? Adams at TE?
-
Howard, I will take it.
-
Gotta be Adams here.
-
Adams and Howard alone would be a steal this late.
-
Man we are going to have great options here in the 5th. Adams, Peake, and Howard still available for offense, Robertson-Harris, Scooby Wright, Houston-Carson, Cash on defense. We should get another solid player.
-
Have to get a TE. Due to lack of Kickoff distance by Gould, I was even thinking K if someone like Fairbairn was available in 6th or 7th (who was actually more accurate than Aguayo in 2015).

https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2016/...-the-nfl-draft/ The Bears had 2 of the 5 picks with their only 2 picks: 1. Jonathan Bullard, DE, Chicago Bears The Bears plucked good players all night and Bullard is a player we saw as a borderline first-round talent. He led the nation with a +51.5 grade against the run, using great instincts to feel and defeat blocks. He did most of his work on the inside at Florida, but he’s not a classic defensive tackle and he’s versatile enough to play up and down the line of scrimmage. Bullard’s best role is likely on the outside on early downs where he can match up with tight ends and offensive tackles while trying to get the most of him as a pass rusher on the interior in nickel situations. That’s the part of Bullard’s game that needs to improve and likely forced the drop to Round 3, but he has the athleticism and block-destruction skills to develop into a solid pass rusher at the next level. 2. Joe Thuney, T/G, New England Patriots 3. Chris Jones, DT, Kansas City 4. Cody Whitehair, OG, Chicago Bears Is he a guard? Is he a tackle? Is he a center? It really doesn’t matter, Whitehair can put on a blocking clinic no matter where you line him up. At Kansas State he was an offensive tackle and finished the season with the highest grade of any tackle in the FBS. What really stands out is Whitehair’s snap-to-snap consistency. His hands and feet are in perfect position play after play after play, and it leads to a lot of searching to find any rep where he is beaten cleanly. His pass and run blocking grades were both among the top five for the draft class at tackle. 5. Mackensie Alexander, CB, Minnesota

So Pace is clearly using PFF: #17 Cody Whitehair #19 Leonard Floyd #27 Jonathan Bullard #76 Nick Kwiatkowski

We traded a 6th to move up a couple of slots in the 4th, not a 7th.
-
That has been my view for the entire draft. We are drafting up but not necessarily taking players that are worthy. The trades just seem off.
-
Traded up to 113 and selected Nick Kwiatkowski, LB. We traded up in the 4th for a 6th round pick to draft a guy projected in the 5th-6th? I am absolutely baffled by Pace's trades. The first move down in the 2nd was fine, but every other one seems like we are losing the deal.

Bullard Yay, we got our DL. Now we need some secondary help.
-
Sean Davis and Aguyao gone in the 2nd, wow.
-
Seriously? A guard?
-
Now that sucks. We are trading down just out of range for players we could use to get picks in an round where players are less talented, brilliant.
-
Not really, depends on who we get in the 2nd.
-
Based on trade value, we lost that pick by about 12 slots in the 4th. Should've received a 6th too.
-
Pace just when I thought you couldn't be any dumber, you totally redeem yourself. Love getting 2 picks back for that move.

Let's give it some time, even without White playing last year, we still had Goldman, Langford, and Amos contribute a lot, and Grasu still has a shot. That could potentially be 5 starters from one draft class, which is well above the norm. I think the LB corps is done, and we now move on to address other positions. With Floyd in hand, we now have some flexibility to move Houston or Young. In regards to Tunsil, I thought that is who we were moving up to take, and was disappointed at first with the pick. However, it is not the end of the world, we have to wait and see how the team looks in July. I believe more moves are on the horizon.
-
Down to Jones, Robinson, and Reed.
-
I didn't like it at first, but Floyd may be one of the top 3 athletes in the draft. Even though we have decent veterans at the position, I don't see Houston or Young as long term solutions. You may even see one or both of them moved by the start of the season. Looking at some mocks, some had TB taking Floyd at 9, Giants at 10, and us at 11, so moving to 9 makes more sense assuming it was going to be the Giants pick. Then watching them scramble and reach for a pick sort of validated that.

Players with a 5.8 Grade or higher on NFL.com: QB: Cook RB: Henry, Howard WR: Shepard, Boyd, Peake, Thomas TE: Henry OL: Whitehair, Clark, Coleman, Westerman, Spriggs DL: Robinson, Dodd, Jones, Reed, Bullard, Ridgeway, Ogbah, Billings, Spence, Johnson, Henry, Correa LB: Jack, Ragland, Cravens, Fackrell CB: Alexander There are 30 players with a 5.8 or higher, and 12 of them are DL. So it looks like we could move down a few spots and still get a DL and maybe pickup a mid-round pick. Surprisingly, the scores are pretty accurate as no player was selected in the first round with a score lower than 5.8.
