Everything starts from the trenches, if you can protect the QB or open holes, your max capability on offense is only so high. Same on defense. If that DLine or front-7 can't apply pressure and prevent RB's from getting to the 2nd level, you will never win consistently. With that said, I am excited about the prospects of Massie and Long on the right side.

Yeah I saw an article about that, he has gained 4 lbs...... I can gain or lose 4 lbs in a week easily.
-
They will probably just convert some of that money into guaranteed money and apply it in later years, especially for someone like Williams. In regards to Treadwell, I would pass. We either get BPA that fills a need or trade down.
-
That is a tough one, if we were going all in this year, I would say yes, but it has been proven that you win through the draft. I almost think it would come down to who is available at #11.
-
Jason really wanted him in the draft from what I recall. Why not at this point? Secondary seems to be our biggest need right now.
-
If we are taking a mid to late round Safety, then I want Sean Davis from Maryland. He can play both Corner and Safety and I think he is going to be a steal. Otherwise, a very solid draft.
-
Can't expect much after the 5th anyway, so I would not be too worried about the QB drafted in the 7th. For the Martin pick, yeah, I think C/G is clearly not a need so that would be a waste.
-
Yeah, quality depth signings. Also, if Grasu struggles, we now have two comparable center backups.
-
Looks like we also added Ted Larsen:

Jared Cook to the Packers.

I wouldn't categorize it as a mistake. In reality, it might have been a bad move in the first place. What else could we have done, overpaid? How much more would you pay for a guy with 36 receptions and 340 yards in 3 seasons? With the extra 4th from NE, we have 5 picks in the first 127, and 6 in the first 150. So draft-wise, we are in pretty good shape. In terms of TE's, there are some decent stop-gap options out there: (Jared Cook, Scott Chandler, Tony Moeaki, Garrett Graham).

They said it was a 3-yr worth a max of $7.5, so the average would be right around $2.5 per year, which would be a cap hit increase of 850k which puts the Saints right up against the cap. So Brees will need to restructure or they have some work to do.
-
Kinda surprised as the Saints signed Fleener.
-
Another decent signing.

Just due diligence, interview everyone, don't tip your hand one way or another.

It's that time of year again, looking to start up our Community Mock Draft by getting the various teams assigned to our in house GM's. If you are interested, please let me know which teams you would like to draft for, and I will go until we get thru all 32. If we can get the teams locked in over the next week, I would like to start the draft next weekend to give each pick enough time to do some research, etc.
-
So pick #127 for hopefully #204 or #206, and not #185. If it is 204 or 206, the draft value is basically the last pick in the 4th and cap savings for Bennett.

Monty and your dream has almost become reality.
-
Pace is on fire this offseason. It is hard to think of another team that has literally addressed a major need with a solid to great player without breaking the bank with every acquisition or signing. Just look at some of the other contracts handed out. If we can now add some depth in the secondary, I think we are set going into the draft. Maybe Robinson and Bruton, and re-sign Miller. Do we really have a strong need at any other positions?
-
Kyle's tweets are hilarious:
-
So Miller and Montgomery and half your dream came true.
-
I wonder where that information came from because there is zero news on that except for that one tweet. If true, I am sure health played a part.

Long is working it with Massie:
