Montgomery's break out game?
11 rushes for 25 yards, this offensive line may be the worst in the league. Almost comical at this point.

On the Roughing the Passer call against Daniel, Long literally tapped the defender's shoulder as he let him by. Embarrassing. As currently playing with this O-Line, this is a 7-8 win team. What's crazy is KPL doesn't run into the kicker, we probably win the game.

All we needed was a FG, with 2 Time Outs, Daniel can't make that pass when all we need is 15 yards for a FG.

As good as the defense has been over the last two years, when we needed a big stop late in a game, they have allowed a long TD drive and we lost. Looks like another one here.

Seriously on Leno can get a holding penalty when we lose 3 yards on a run, bench the dude.

McManis never needs to be a healthy scratch again. He did that while being held, huge heads up play to save a TD.

and just like that defense comes alive, Cohen has a huge punt return, and Daniel to ARob again! Bears up 21-17! Holy crap! 21 unanswered points and the Raiders don't know what happened. Defense needs a stop here, don't give them any life. Miller with a stupid taunting penalty and Raiders get the ball at our 35 after long run back, wtf.

Yes, I will take full credit for this lol. That's what we need from him. Bears go 90 yards and score making it 17-14.

What luck, after a 3 and out on offense, the Raiders bumble a pitch and the Bears get the recovery. Then Montogmery literally pounds the ball in on his own on two tries for the score. 17-7.

Anthony Miller....wtf. He has been a huge disappointment. We essentially gave up 2x 2nds for him and he can't catch a pass when it hits both of his hands.

I asked the exact same thing. How is he still employed? The line has been that bad.

Damn, we need help at CB too, but yeah, we can use 4 new O-Linemen right now. Massie, Leno, Long, and Daniels have been terrible.

Fuller giving 12 yards of cushion on Doss on a 1st and 10, he gets 7. What the hell is Pagano doing here?

Yeah, our O-Line is paid like a top-10 unit and is in the bottom-10 of the league.

It's all of the above. Late to London, injuries, game plan. Also, not that this is new but Nagy's playcalling has been suspect for 20 games now.

Leno with holding on a run away from him, then can't block his guy who gets a sack. He completely derailed that drive which was starting to move.

If it's a dislocated elbow, which it looked like, that is no less than a month with no weight bearing. His arms and leverage are so important inside, I don't know how effective he would be with a massive brace on.

Raiders driving down on first drive of game. CB's still playing off and Carr finding underneath receivers. Hicks just went down with an apparent left wrist injury (didn't look good, looked like a dislocated elbow). Not a good start by the defense. They look flat and a step slow.

Montgomery's break out game?
I hope so too, but the O-Line has to make some progress. OAK comes in as the 10th Rushing Defense and 29th Passing Defense. If we couldn't run against GB (31st), DEN (29th), and MIN (20th), I don't know if we will have success against OAK. I think they are going to take that away and force Chase to beat them.

Damn, I never thought about that. Did they have dead money from the AB thing?

Smith back
Nope, he was in a Navy Blue Sweat Suit, top and bottom for the game. Here is a pic:

Schefter: Roquan Smith was not himself at practice
Yeah, that was very odd. That didn't make sense. I think he plays, and I don't think Oakland would change their game plan much with Smith in or out.

Schefter: Roquan Smith was not himself at practice
Lemon, I can't find anything new? Can you post a link?

Smith back
Definitely a possibility, but the whole "not being himself" in practice thing led me to believe it was not a singular incident.

Last 14 Regular Season Games vs '85 Bears D
I saw a Tweet about how the Bears defense is getting close to the pace of the vaunted '85 Bears Defense. This is what the numbers look like from the last 14 regular season games. This was when the defense got locked in last year and ever since they have been stout. 18-19-20 Bears (14 games) Average pts allowed: 13.86 (+1.48) Average Total yds allowed: 276 (+18) Sacks: 3.43 sacks per game (-0.57) Turnovers: 1.93 turnovers per game (-1.45) 1985 Bears Average pts allowed: 12.38 Average Total yds allowed: 258 Sacks: 4.0 sacks per game Turnovers: 3.38 turnovers per game The biggest difference is the turnovers produced. The 85' Bears took the ball away over 3 times per game. That one will be a tough one, however, pts allowed, sacks and yards allowed is really close in comparison.
