  1. Check this out, if we stayed in place, we may be the first team to consider a QB (unless SF does): 1. Tennessee Titans: Mariota (franchise QB) 2. San Diego Chargers: Rivers (Rivers getting older, but he is not the problem) 3. Cleveland Browns: Manziel (hard for me to see Browns going QB again) ------------------------------------------------------- 4. Dallas Cowboys: Romo (Dallas had SB aspirations before injuries, hard for me to see them going QB this early) 5. Baltimore Ravens: Flacco (franchise QB) 6. Detroit Lions: Stafford (has played well of late, I think he stays) 7. San Francisco 49ers: Kaepernick/Gabbert (possibly a QB if they don't trust Gabbert and/or move on from Kaepernick) ------------------------------------------------------- 8. Jacksonville Jaguars: Bortles (franchise QB) 9. New Orleans Saints: Brees (getting up there in age, but a lot of holes to fill) 10. Bears: Cutler (do we go after a QB with a favorable slot and possibly have the pick of the litter?) 11. St. Louis Rams: Foles (it doesn't look like Foles was the answer for that offense, might go QB or DL like they always do) 12. Miami Dolphins: Tannehill (franchise QB) 13. New York Giants: Manning (franchise QB) 14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Winston (franchise QB) 15. Atlanta Falcons: Ryan (franchise QB) 16. Oakland Raiders: Carr (franchise QB) 17. Philadelphia Eagles: Bradford/Sanchez (seems like a huge need here) 18. Houston Texans: Hoyer (seems like a huge need here as well even though Hoyer has played well) 19. Buffalo Bills: Taylor (looks like their franchise QB)

  3. He needs to go, this team is not good enough to miss so many kicks. This week's was farther, but it was not even close, it was literally kicked to the right and missed by 5 yards. More like way wide right. What sucks is every game we are now being outkicked. Gould misses, Walsh hits and we lose to Minnesota. This week it was Hopkins. Last week he beat himself, with 2 misses when we only needed 1 to win.
  4. Yeah, I am sure it is to cut down on the turnovers. Here is a weird observation, we have either thrown an INT or missed a FG in every loss except for the Seattle game. Cutler has thrown a pick in 5 losses, and Gould has a missed a FG in 3 losses.

    Zach Miller

Yeah, I wouldn't want to cut him outright. I would assume someone would be willing to pick up Bennett for his current cap hit. If we can get a 5th or 6th for him, then, coupled with the extra cap space would probably be worth it.
  6. We are currently in 10th, but will be bumped to 11th after tonight's game (based on SoS). Due to our SoS, we are 1 win from drafting 19th and 1 loss from drafting 6th. After Week 14 1. Tennessee Titans: 3-10 (.498 strength of schedule) 2. San Diego Chargers: 3-10 (.527 SOS) 3. Cleveland Browns: 3-10 (.529 SOS) ------------------------------------------------------- 4. Dallas Cowboys: 4-9 (.517 SOS - 3-8 in conference) (NYJ/BUF/WAS) 5. Baltimore Ravens: 4-9 (.517 SOS - 3-6 in conference) (KC/PIT/CIN) 6. Detroit Lions: 4-9 (.529 SOS) (NO/SF/CHI) 7. San Francisco 49ers: 4-9 (.531 SOS) (CIN/DET/STL) ------------------------------------------------------- 8. Jacksonville Jaguars: 5-8 (.469 SOS) (ATL/NO/HOU) 9. Miami Dolphins: 5-8 (.470 SOS) (SD/IND/NE) 10. New Orleans Saints: 5-8 (.512 SOS) (DET/JAX/ATL) 11. Chicago Bears: 5-8 (.524 SOS - 2-7 in conference) (MIN/TB/DET) 12. St. Louis Rams: 5-8 (.524 SOS - 4-5 in conference) (TB/SEA/SF) ------------------------------------------------------- 13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 6-7 (.478 SOS) 14. Atlanta Falcons: 6-7 (.488 SOS) 15. New York Giants: 6-7 (.500 SOS) 16. Oakland Raiders: 6-7 (.500 SOS) 17. Philadelphia Eagles: 6-7 (.512 SOS - 3-6 in conference) 18. Houston Texans: 6-7 (.512 SOS - 4-4 in conference) 19. Buffalo Bills: 6-7 (.522 SOS)
  7. Bad start by both sides of the ball. An 80 yard drive by Redskins followed by a quick series by the offense.
  8. I think both reports were premature. He just needs to be added to the 53-man roster by next Tuesday, but he technically could just suit up but not play (so he gets the extra practice time in). However, I somehow think it will come down to this weekend's games.
  9. Actually I just saw an article that said he won't play at all this season. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...1210-story.html
  10. A pretty crazy turn of events. http://www.csnchicago.com/bears/jay-cutler...-law-found-dead
  11. Sorry about the title, I was in tears laughing. It looks like Clausen may get his 2nd start against Seattle this season. Now it is in Baltimore, but I can't imagine it would be much better than the last outcome. His top running back is Allen, and top WR is Aiken. So Clausen and Trestman against a rolling Seattle team looking to make a playoff push. Should be fun. Under over on sacks: 5 Under over on INT: 2 Under over on Ravens pts: 9 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/...ainst-seahawks/
  12. I can't find the video, but I will see if I can find a Vine or Tweet about it. I just remember the call, that the defensive player cannot lift the ball carrier off his feet and slam him to the ground. If you watch the Cutler video, you can see Cutler looking right at the camera with Tartt around his waist, then he is literally whipped over Tartt's hip and onto his back and head. Again, 10+ years ago, this was a tackle, but in the day and age when they are protecting QB's, I can't see how this wasn't a penalty.
  13. Mongo, Take a look at this play, almost exactly what happened to Cutler, and the defender was penalized: https://www.facebook.com/NFLonFOX/videos/977454565626017/ He was penalized and fined: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/...darren-sproles/ You can't lift a player off the ground and slam them to the ground.
  14. Yeah, too high for what he has given us this year. He hasn't been entirely bad, but we can't afford to have the Kicker be the 7th highest paid player on the roster (2016).
  15. Check out this link: http://www.chicagofootball.com/photos/2015...6880336/?page=1 #7 - #11 showed how bad our ILB play was. The middle of the field and flats were wide open all game.
  16. He had some broken ribs so I assume since we are basically all but eliminated from playoff contention, there is no reason to risk further injury. or on the conspiracy theory side, he was becoming a distraction and his play on the field was been average at best.
  17. If he was sick, then that was it. As a Type 1 Diabetic, his blood sugars would be all over the place. To low and he would be sluggish and making slow decisions, too high and he is shaky and can't concentrate.
  18. On the Cutler slam, that is not a tackle, he is literally flinging him over his hip with all his weight lifting him off the ground. Hard for me to believe the official standing in the shot could not see that. For the facemask, are you talking about Rodgers or some other call on Brady?
  19. I don't think it needs to be fined to confirm anything. It was pretty clear and still is by the replay, the defender lifted Cutler off his feet and slammed him to the ground. It was unnecessary. Crazy to hear Pereira talk about this tackle on Sproles which is exactly what happened to Cutler: https://www.facebook.com/NFLonFOX/videos/977454565626017/ Pereira also agreed that is should've been penalized: https://twitter.com/MikePereira/status/673603012154167297
  20. For Kickers, you can't just look at % without context. Tucker has missed 6 of his 7 beyond 50, and only 1 inside 50 (including XPs). Gould has missed 5 inside 50 and 1 beyond. The FGs and XPs are only part of the story. Tucker leads the league in touchbacks with 88.3% of his kickoffs going for a touchback and Gould is near the bottom at 48.3%.
  21. This will be a pleasant surprise and now in garbage time, if he makes a mistake, it is not going to hurt us.
  22. If this is not a penalty against a QB, I don't know what is: https://streamable.com/9n38?t=41.3 Now look at this one which was penalized: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlig...15-yard-penalty
  23. There were a lot of reasons we lost, and he was part of the reason with 2 missed kicks. He is tied for the league lead in missed FG's under 40 yards, and only Sturgis has a worse percentage under 40. Also, if you are including XP's, then yes 15 kicks, but if you are only counting FGs, then it is more like 7 or 8 straight. Also, in those 7 or 8, 6 were within 40 yards. He has missed at least one kick in 3 of the last 6 games, and in two of those he missed 2 kicks. So we want a kicker to miss a kick every other game and to miss 2 kicks on average, every 3rd game? He also had a near miss XP against GB and has continually failed to reach the end zone on kickoffs.
  24. Yeah he was off, everything seemed a little bit off, I wonder if there was some letdown from the extended break from the Thanksgiving game and high of beating GB. For Jay, yeah, hard to concentrate on anything when a family member is missing like that.
  25. On Gould, I am more concerned about the lack of distance on kickoffs. In today's day and age with the kick moved up, there is no reason other than extreme headwind for a professional kicker not to kick touchbacks consistently. He was behind 31 other kickers in touchback percentage (which includes some backup kickers), so he wasn't the worst kicker, but he is damn sure close. Then you add in his misses costing us 2 games out of 7 losses and it is hard to justify paying him $4.1mil next year.
