Now that sucks. We are trading down just out of range for players we could use to get picks in an round where players are less talented, brilliant.

Based on trade value, we lost that pick by about 12 slots in the 4th. Should've received a 6th too.

Let's give it some time, even without White playing last year, we still had Goldman, Langford, and Amos contribute a lot, and Grasu still has a shot. That could potentially be 5 starters from one draft class, which is well above the norm. I think the LB corps is done, and we now move on to address other positions. With Floyd in hand, we now have some flexibility to move Houston or Young. In regards to Tunsil, I thought that is who we were moving up to take, and was disappointed at first with the pick. However, it is not the end of the world, we have to wait and see how the team looks in July. I believe more moves are on the horizon.

Down to Jones, Robinson, and Reed.

I didn't like it at first, but Floyd may be one of the top 3 athletes in the draft. Even though we have decent veterans at the position, I don't see Houston or Young as long term solutions. You may even see one or both of them moved by the start of the season. Looking at some mocks, some had TB taking Floyd at 9, Giants at 10, and us at 11, so moving to 9 makes more sense assuming it was going to be the Giants pick. Then watching them scramble and reach for a pick sort of validated that.

So it looks like we could move down a few spots and still get a DL and maybe pickup a mid-round pick. Surprisingly, the scores are pretty accurate as no player was selected in the first round with a score lower than 5.8.

I would be good with DL, OL, or DB (CB or S).

How many LB's are we going to carry?

I didn't mind the pick, but losing a 4th to move up essentially past one team is a head scratcher. That means Floyd was rated that much higher than anyone else on their board which is surprising.

Can someone tell me how Floyd is any different than McClellin (when McClellin was going out of the draft)? Floyd is taller and lighter, ran similar 40's. Floyd's NFL comparison is Eli Harold?

Paxton Lynch drawing some attention, possibly sneaking into the top 10? That would be awesome for us if 3x QB's go in the top 10.

Is Nkemdiche any different than Gregory last year? Gregory was a 1st round talent, even in some mock draft's top 10 for a bit, then fell all the way to pick #60 in the 2nd round. What did Dallas get out of him? 7 tackles last year and a 4-game ban to start 2016. I just don't see Pace taking any high risk guys like this or injury risks.

This might sound silly, but just draft the best RB available. I don't think you need to compliment a player that is not on the field at the same time as the other. If we are going to go RBC, then you don't necessarily need someone different than Langford, just someone to spell him. I would want the back that can do anything, otherwise, if you get one that can't catch a cold, then it is easier for defenses to play the run when they are in.

Bring in as a backup?
