  1. Wow, so Roy Helu is in the open field with Jones and Porter and we can't even touch him? Wtf.
  2. Our special teams blow. Hard to start inside your 20 every drive. Even on a return when we gain 2 yards, we lose 10 with a hold. We might as well go for the block every time and leave no one back there. Offense playing conservative, but we have a lead after a quarter. We have had good first halves for the most part. I am more concerned about how we finish this game in the 2nd half.
  3. A 3 and out on defense? What is this?
  4. Then we kick the kickoff out of bounds, wtf.
  5. Welcome back Jay, great series and drive by Jay. Then, of course, our special teams jacks up.
  6. Looks like Bushrod is out: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/...r-questionable/

    PFF Grades

https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/...negative-grade/ So PFF is taking a lot of heat for a crazy grade given to Rodgers for his game against KC. Some hilarious tweets in regards to this: https://twitter.com/PFF/status/648856080945147904
  8. I can't believe we got a 6th for Bostic as he was clearly going to be cut at some point.
  9. I don't think it is as bad as people are making it out to be. We were almost assured of 0-3 or 1-2 after 3 games. White has been out all year and we were really looking to have a compliment to Alshon on the outside. We have yet to see that. Alshon himself has been basically out all year and was somewhat effective in the short amount of time he has played. Cutler was decent before injury and the defense is slowing improving. Seattle was 5/16 on 3rd Downs and 0 for 2 in the Red Zone. The defense only allowed 1 offensive TD, which is an improvement. Are we a playoff team, no, but we are playing competitive. If we get Cutler, Jeffery, and Ratliff all back next week, that will be a huge boost. I am most upset with the special teams play. That is killing us. Watch the other teams with injuries, Dallas or Pittsburgh might not win one game while their QBs are out. Look at Baltimore, Trestman has neutered the Ravens offense and they are 0-3. There are a lot of bad teams right now who have not played GB, ARZ, and SEA.
  10. Well when you are shutout you will have either all punts or possessions end in a turnover. So I would think there would be more but who knows. We didn't turn the ball over and had more sacks than Seattle's vaunted defense.
  11. Yeah what an A-hole, why prolong the game at that point and risk injury to any player? I am so sick of Carroll and his gum smacking. They were also throwing some deep balls late when the game was well in hand. Also pushing Forte backwards when he was already wrapped up. I am sure it was a combination of those.
  12. Why not, Rolle is slow, and Vereen gets burned a lot. Amos is decent but man we are very weak in the secondary.

    Special Teams

Back to back weeks that we allow a KO return for a TD. This one was crazy as Lockett didn't even switch sides of the field, we didn't even have a player inside the 20 when he ran past. I have no idea what is going on but that needs to be fixed. We started in a hole against ARZ and this one basically ended the game for us after we kept it close and the defense was playing good. We also allowed a 64 yard punt return by Sherman which setup a first half FG. So our Special Teams contributed to 10 of the first 13 points against, and never really gave us good field position when our offense had the ball. I would fire the ST coach during the bye if there is not a marked improvement over the next few weeks.
  14. Refs totally derailed this game. They missed a bunch of holding calls on runs when Rawls jumped outside, a downfield pick play that had Baldwin wide open, then the obvious punt turnover that was not called. The punt turnover was huge, we could've tied or even taken the lead and the game plays out totally different. So yes F*&k Seattle!
  15. 25 other teams would be 0-3 at this point. GB, ARZ, and SEA are arguably 3 of the top 4 teams with NE. We had a lead against GB, were hanging with ARZ until Cutler got hurt, and were only down 6-0 at half after a completely blown call on a clear Seattle turnover that would've given us at least 3 pts. We have been without White and Ratliff all season and without Jeffery and Cutler for a game and a half. I am not expecting miracles, but looking at the schedule, we could easily go 7-6 the rest of the way. McPhee was very noticeable today, 2 sacks, 2 TFL's, and 4 QB Hits. Jenkins was close with 2 sacks, 1 TFL, and 2 QB Hits - he also missed a 3rd sack on Wilson. SMC still looks lost in coverage.
  16. Defense only allowed one offensive TD, and 10 pts were a direct result of bad special teams. Seattle was only 5-15 on 3rd down (at home). I know there are no moral victories, but the defense didn't really play that bad. A lot of Seattle's yards were after the game was well in hand. I was not impressed with Seattle at all. So we have now lost to 3 of the top 5 teams in the league. Look what Arizona did to SF today.
  17. Refs not doing us any favors. Punt clearly hit Seattle player and we recover and they don't give us the ball.
  18. I posted this in another thread, take the Bears Defense and add it to one of the worst offensive lines and any QB would play much worse than expected: https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/...iss-jay-cutler/
  19. That is way too conspiracy theory-ish. He missed almost all of the preseason and probably came back too early or did too much too soon and was not conditioned enough after the time away. For his contract, it will have to be evaluated after the year. The missed games are hurting his numbers, so every game he misses, he is losing money.
  20. The most concerning part is that SMC is the only guy in the shot with 3 GB players running around without a defender. So he had to be covering an area and trying to react to the QB. In regards to the INT, Gase has mentioned numerous times how far ahead Cutler was than the receivers in learning the offense, and Bennett missed some camp time, so I have to believe it was on the TE. Looking at how Cutler threw the ball, you could tell he was trying to stop the throw right when he released which resulted in the low wobbly throw. I will have to look back, but Bennett has been in on a fair share of Cutler's bad interceptions.

    Long at OT

Does being right or left handed help on one side or the other? Do you move naturally one way or another? Long is left-handed, would he be more natural on the left side having dominant hand on the outside, or on the right side with dominant hand on the inside? or does that not matter?
  22. He hasn't been at any of the team's offseason programs or workouts; I would be shocked if he played. Injury risk is really high.

    Long at OT

    Highest graded Offensive Tackles from week 2: 1. T. Armstead +3.6 2. K. Long +3.5 3. J. Veldheer +3.3 4. S. Vollmer +3.3 5. J. Thomas +3.2 https://twitter.com/PFF/status/646725893402955776
  24. You see, nothing to worry about. We just played the #2 and #3 team in the Power Rankings, which means 28 other teams would also be 0-2 against those teams. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...aign=sf13361848
