  1. Good game overall, have to fix the special teams, they are a detriment to the team right now and bringing down the other phases. The average starting field position was terrible all game. Besides the two turnovers where we got the ball on the OAK side of the field, the special teams gave us this dumpster fire for starting field positions: 20, 6, 12, 8, 20, 31, 20, 10, 20. Both of our TD scoring drives went 80 yards. Cutler had one or two bad passes that included the INT, but for the most part he played a solid game (even with him being limited against scrambling). On the INT, it needed to go more outside (like Cutler said in the post game), but why did Bennett jump at a waist high pass? He turned and left his feet (for no reason) which seemed to give Woodson a clear shot at the ball. Regardless, Cutler needs to throw the ball away or to a place where it can't be intercepted (which is to the outside). He needs to know that even a FG there makes OAK need a TD to win. Bennett was a beast making several huge catches and first downs. It was nice to see Royal starting to make an impact and Wilson's name on a few plays. Can't imagine how this offense will look with a healthy Alshon, White, Royal, Wilson, Bennett, and Forte. O-Line played decent despite injuries. Defense making plays. McPhee and Jenkins making impact plays two games in a row. People are asking about salary cap, how about locking up Jenkins if he continues to play like this? I might even do it sooner than later before he becomes even more expensive. I heard Acho's name called a lot. Goldman had a nice sack. The defense only allowed 243 yards. Porter played decent except for the missed tackle on Helu with Jones (that was ugly). I missed Jared Allen not holding contain on every play, that was a nice subtraction.
  2. After the first quarter of the season, we are through the toughest part of the schedule, which was expected. Most had us at 1-3 after 4 anyway. Now it seems like we shift into an easier quarter of the season, currently scheduled to play teams with a combined record of 5-10. We should at least split, if not go 3-1 in the next 4. That would put us between 3-4 at the halfway point. Then we go into a tougher quarter playing teams 11-5, and 1 win seems to be the most realistic outcome (though we could split depending on what STL team shows up). Then we get into the final quarter against teams currently 5-10 again like the 2nd quarter. To me this sets up for 7-9 wins and a strong finish. If the season ended today, a .500 team would be the 2nd wild card. Here is what we have coming up: @ Kansas City (1-3) @ Detroit (0-3) BYE Minnesota (2-2) @ San Diego (2-2) -- @ St. Louis (2-2) Denver (4-0) @ Green Bay (4-0) San Francisco (1-3) -- Washington (2-2) @ Minnesota (2-2) @ Tampa Bay (1-3) Detroit (0-3) I know it was only 1 win, but if you look at the other teams with 1 win or less (14 of them), we seem to be better than most of them and have had the toughest schedule of the group.
  3. Forte now has over 8,000 rushing yards and 11,931 yards from scrimmage. The 8,071 rushing yards puts him in 48th all-time only 3 yards behind Freeman McNeil and 10 yards behind Larry Csonka. In the next few games he should also pass the likes of Maurice Jones-Drew, Priest Holmes, Gerald Riggs, Roger Craig, Herschel Walker, and Earnest Byner (some pretty good company already). Additionally, he is now in 59th for yards from scrimmage with 11,931 and nearing 12k. In this game he passed Don Maynard and Michael Irvin and is now only 10 yards behind Clinton Portis for 58th. Cutler is now 41st all-time in completions, passing Y.A. Tittle, Randall Cunningham, and Sonny Jurgensen today. Next up, John Brodie and Jake Plummer to move into 39th all-time. With 2 TD passes, Cutler is now tied for 47th all-time with Matt Ryan and Sammy Baugh with 187. With 28,375 passing yards, Jay passed Ron Jaworski for 52nd on the all-time list. He is now within 100 of Trent Green and 109 of Chris Chandler who is 50th. With 10 pts, Gould now has 1,112 all-time, good for 45th, 1 point behind Joe Nedney. With 3 FGs, Robbie passed Gostkowski for 39th all-time with 252. Gould currently sits in 52nd in XPM with 356, 1 behind Lawrence Tynes for 51st all-time. With 5 more pts, Gould becomes the all-time Bears scoring leader (passing Kevin Butler). Martellus Bennett is currently the 5th most productive TE in Bears history and is closing in on Greg Olsen. He needs 15 receptions and 105 yards to tie Olsen. Then he will challenge Desmond Clark by the end of the year for 3rd. Moorehead is 2nd, with Ditka #1. Alshon is stuck on 2,999 receiving yards and is only 1 yard away from 3k and Wendell Davis for 15th all-time (Bears). He is also only 32 yards away from Jim Keane. Jeffery will also pass both of them with 6 more receptions.
  4. Jared Allen's first game with the Panthers, 1 tackle.
  5. wtf, 2 drops and a bad pass by Jay.
  6. God Bennett is such a beast. Another 3rd Down conversion for offense.
  7. OMG, a decent return and no penalty? Unpossible!
  8. Jenkins with a sack, another 3rd down stop.
  9. Yeah he has been brutal, there was no reason not to fair catch that last punt. We lost 10 yards and a couple of seconds.
  10. 16-14 Halftime lead, 13-6 in First Downs, 239-93 in yards, 6-9 vs 3-6 for 3rd Downs, and TOP 20:14 vs 9:46. We really just need to convert in the Red Zone.
  11. GOLDMAN!!!! With a huge sack
  12. Absolutely, but you can tell he is much more comfortable in this offense; you can see him going thru his progressions, and is throwing the ball away when there is nothing there.
  13. Holy shit McPhee!@!!!!! He just INT the ball and then carried Murray on his back for 10 yards, lmao.
  14. Cutler looks pretty good, 11-16, 149 yards, and 2 TDs so far. We just need to control Cooper and Oakland won't have much of an offense.
  15. Forte with over 100 yards already.
  16. Wow, so Roy Helu is in the open field with Jones and Porter and we can't even touch him? Wtf.
  17. Our special teams blow. Hard to start inside your 20 every drive. Even on a return when we gain 2 yards, we lose 10 with a hold. We might as well go for the block every time and leave no one back there. Offense playing conservative, but we have a lead after a quarter. We have had good first halves for the most part. I am more concerned about how we finish this game in the 2nd half.
  18. A 3 and out on defense? What is this?
  19. Then we kick the kickoff out of bounds, wtf.
  20. Welcome back Jay, great series and drive by Jay. Then, of course, our special teams jacks up.

    PFF Grades

https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/...negative-grade/ So PFF is taking a lot of heat for a crazy grade given to Rodgers for his game against KC. Some hilarious tweets in regards to this: https://twitter.com/PFF/status/648856080945147904
  23. I can't believe we got a 6th for Bostic as he was clearly going to be cut at some point.
