I wouldn't consider any of the QB's in this year's draft as "Going Big". They all have a lot of question marks, and we can't afford to make a mistake on our first round pick this year. You go BPA, and if either fell to us, I still don't think either would be BPA. Look at the last 10 years of QB's drafted in the top 10: Alex Smith Vince Young Matt Leinart Jamarcus Russell Matt Ryan Matthew Stafford Mark Sanchez Sam Bradford Cam Newton Jake Locker Blaine Gabbert Andrew Luck Robert Griffin Ryan Tannehill Blake Bortles Way more mistakes in there than hits. I will pass on Mariota and Winston.

I actually thought this was the perfect spot for a Safety with Prewitt, Campbell, Randall, and Tartt all there. Dawson, Mauldin, and Kikaha would be options too. Regardless, this bodes well for the Bears because it looks like we have will have a bunch of options at #71.

I don't think either QB will get past #6, but even so, I really don't want either of them. We just can't afford to use a 1st round pick on a QB. I would rather have Petty and allow him to get a year behind Cutler.

Stinger, no worries, not to much trouble at this pace. It would be interesting to see how accurate we end up being. Last year we only got 1 pick completely correct (yay me). Mongo is still on the clock....

Jason, It is amazing how many combinations you can come up with that are realistic. At this point I just want to see Safety, WR, and OL drafted early, and then use the remaining picks to improve at DL, ILB, and CB. I don't think we need another RB with Forte, Rodgers, and Carey on the roster. I would rather pick one in the first 3 rounds next year. I would also do the same with QB, and possibly take one in the first round next year.

I would've went with Williams in the 1st. Total fail.

Nothing going on, so surfing Twitter for more follows and see that Alshon and Kyle are both following Amari Cooper. Now Kyle is also following Gregory and Winston, but Cooper is the only one being followed by multiple Bears. Just thought that was interesting.

For the O-Line, I believe Slauson has played Center, but I know what you mean. What I was saying was we could go a number of ways on the OLine (draft OT to replace Mills, draft G and shift Long to T, or draft a C for depth), but I don't think we need more than one. For ILB, that was definitely a lower need, but the jury is still out on SMC, Bostic, Jones.

This is the most optimistic view I have seen out of the national media. Now I remain realistic and slightly pessimistic (especially with the schedule). My projection is more in the 7-9 win range, but 10 would have us on the cusp of the playoffs. So what do you think? Stinger, Looking at the needs, it looks like we will pick WR, OL, S, ILB, CB, and DL with our 6 picks (not necessarily in that order). To me I think that would be a great draft addressing every layer of the defense and the 2 biggest weaknesses on the offense. Based on who we project to be there at #7, I am starting to think it is going to be White/Cooper/Scherff/Peat at #7. If we trade down, then CB, S, and DL come into play.

Has anyone seen Game Changers on NFL Network (http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-changers). They did the QB prospects again this morning. I was impressed with Winston, Hundley, and Petty, and I was not as impressed with Mariota or Mannion. Mannion seems to have a weird drop back or at least it looks like it takes him longer to get set (which would be bad in the NFL), but he throws a nice ball. Mariota didn't have any confidence and I can't see him taking charge of a huddle. I will have to watch some more film on these guys but at this point I would not be against Hundley or Petty, but not until the 3rd. We have too many other needs to take one in the 1st or 2nd.
