That would be insane. DL - Williams, LB - McKinney, CB - Expre-Olomu, S - Smith would infuse youth and talent into all levels of the defense. Havenstein would be a solid add to the line and why not on Mannion at that point.
-
Jason, You absolutely have to take Williams. He would be an anchor DE in our 3-4 for the next decade. Obviously this would be similar to taking Shelton first. Can you link some of the Fanspeak drafts to see who was available in later rounds? I would probably look WR or DB in the next two rounds.

With the 12th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft the Cleveland Browns select Danny Shelton, DT, Washington. New Orleans Saints (Stinger226) are now on the clock.
-
Actually, based on last season, Montgomery comes in as our 3rd best O-Linemen. Bushrod was bad, and Mills was horrible, and Montgomery is an upgrade over Garza.
-
With the 9th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select Brandon Scherff, OL, Iowa The St. Louis Rams (bradjock) are now on the clock..... I also added the CBS Sports Big Board at the bottom of my first post so we don't miss anyone.
-
Yeah, based on my top-5 non-QBs (Williams, Beasley, Fowler, White, Cooper), he was the only one left and worthy of #7. I would not be complaining if we picked him up.
-
I used 5 different Big Boards and ran the Fanspeak simulator 5 times to see how the different perspectives (big boards) would change the draft for us at 7. Using this method, 3 players were off the board at 7 every time (Winston, Mariota, Fowler). Williams, Beasley, Ray, Cooper, and La'el Collins were all selected multiple times before #7. So two of those five will be available at #7, and all of these should be available: White, Scherff, Shelton, Waynes, Parker, Dupree, Landon Collins. I am leaning towards believing the only players with #7 value are Beasley, Fowler, Williams, Cooper, and White. If we were going to select someone else, there will definitely be a few to choose from at 12 or 13.
-
Regardless of trade down or not, we are going to get a great player at 7, and at least 2 good players at 39 and 71. Hopefully 3 more holes filled with starter potential. From 4-6, it is more of a crapshoot.

With the 5th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins select: Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson. New York Jets (killakrzydav) are now on the clock.......

Thanks guys, I took the last two. So without further ado, we can start this thing. Any of my teams are available if someone else wants to join in before the selection.... With the #1 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Tampa Bay and Stinger226 are now on the clock.........

Yeah sounds about right because we have started to essentially swap cap hits with the last few signings since we have been cutting others. Also, I figure we will leave some flexibility in the cap for June 1st cuts.

Last call for the following teams? Washington #5 Bengals #21 Cardinals #24 Broncos #28 If no one wants them, I will take them, and we still start the draft.
-
I am not against Scherff in the first, but it would hard to do that over some of the other guys at #7.
-
A few thoughts on that: Denver really shifted to a run first offense around the time he started playing (due to Manning's inability to throw the ball down field); Manning is not a very mobile QB, so pressure against him up the middle might be a little different than against Cutler who is at least more mobile.
-
The exciting part is if we do stay at #7, we are going to get a really good player. If they make a run on Edge Rushers, we get a top notch WR. If they make a run on WR, we get an Edge Rusher. QB is in play, so is DT and CB.
-
Montgomery played for Denver, so that is no longer the case. Now 12 free agents from 12 different teams, and all in some way shape or form an upgrade. With Garza released, the only players on the team since before the Cutler trade are Forte and Gould, wow.
-
I like Grasu as well, and my concern with him was with the offense he played in. I don't know how many line calls/adjustments he had to make in that offense. I also agree that we probably will need more of a road-grader type Center. Montgomery graded out decent with PFF and would've probably been higher if he played more. Also, if anyone remembers, when he started was also around the time that Denver committed more to the run (and had great success).
-
Yeah I don't think any position is off the table at #7 this year.
-
He started the last 8 games for Denver (they went 6-2), so he brings some experience in the offense we will be running, which is nice. I like the move, even though he is 32, he is still 4 years younger than Garza. To me this takes Center off the list of needs with a high pick. We can wait a year or two before addressing through the draft.

Interesting that we now have 11 new players from 11 different teams: SD - Royal, WR ATL - Rodgers, RB MIN - Ducasse, OL BAL - McPhee, OLB TB - Foster, LB ARZ - Acho, LB NYG - Rolle, S JAX - Ball, CB SF - McDonald, DE WAS - Jenkins, DE KC - Gafford, LS

Thanks, Down to: Washington #5 Bengals #21 Cardinals #24 Broncos #28
-
I like the Oregon and Washington drafts.
-
Yeah, he would be a decent 3rd down back as he had back to back 50 reception seasons in 2012-2013. He is only 25 so that is a plus.

Ok guys, I made the changes and additions, and took the Giants, Ravens, and Bills. So that leaves us with the following teams remaining: Washington #5 Chiefs #18 Bengals #21 Cardinals #24 Broncos #28
