  1. Here are some players (minus WR, RB, DL) available in the 3rd: Clemmings, T.J., OT, Pittsburgh Dawson, Paul, LB, TCU Williams, P.J, CB, Florida St. Cann, A.J., OG, South Carolina Harold, Eli, LB, Virginia Mauldin, Lorenzo, LB, Louisville Jackson, Tre, OG, Florida St. Smith, Derron, FS, Fresno St. Grasu, Hroniss, C, Oregon Walford, Clive, TE, Miami Smith, D'Joun, CB, Florida Atlantic Expre-Olomu, Ifo, CB, Oregon Flowers, Trey, DE, Arkansas Anderson, Henry, DE, Stanford
  2. He can be mentored by Bryant, lol.
  3. Pace almost surgical at this point. I like the pick, I was thinking names (Gregory, Fisher), but Goldman makes too much sense, and some had him late first round.
  4. If we get Collins, Fisher, or Gregory I will be extremely happy.
  5. Yeah, I remember when he was in the top 5 and ahead of Fowler, Beasley, Dupree, and Ray. For me, my Bears Big Board is: Gregory - too much value to pass up Fisher - pair with Long (Duck Right?) Collins - huge need at Safety filled Clemmings - comparable to Fisher IMO Phillips - DLine help Rowe - Versatile DB Goldman - DLine help Kendricks - ILB stud Dawson - ILB stud DGB/Smith/Strong/Yeldon also should come off very soon. The entire top half of the 2nd is essentially getting first round talent.
  6. The red flags scare me, but if you watch the tape, he is a playmaker. I doubt he makes it to us at 39. I can even see a couple of teams moving up into the mid-30's to grab him.
  7. The coverage skills are why he has fallen, but he is still one of the best prospects left on the board and especially at Safety. If he is there at 39, I don't know how the Bears pass him up.
  8. Funny to see the video clip of White torching Alabama (w/ Collins in view).
  9. Here is PFF's top 10 available 2nd day players, I was surprised to see 4 of them from my "draft sleepers" list below: Devin Smith, Ohio State, WR - if we didn't get White, I would've loved Smith Grady Jarrett, Clemson, ID - DL candidate with a few others (Goldman, Phillips) Henry Anderson, Stanford, ID - production is hard to pass up, but some consider him too much of a tweener Jaelen Strong, Arizona State, WR - don't need another WR La’el Collins, LSU, OT - dropped due to issues, doubt he is on our board (would rather have Fisher, then Clemmings or Smith) Landon Collins, Alabama, S - surprised he dropped this far, but coverage skills scare teams, would be hard to pass up at 39 though Maxx Williams, Minnesota, TE - seemed like a 2nd round pick all along, but I don't see the need Paul Dawson, TCU, LB - mid-2nd is about where he should go, would not mind the pick (others: Kendricks, Perryman) Randy Gregory, Nebraska, ED - dropped due to issues, don't know if he is worth the headache (others: Harold, Trey Flowers, Arkansas, ED - production is hard to pass up
  10. Looks like Fisher or Collins, or move down about 10 picks and still get a stud
  11. Potential 2nd picks and their NFL.com and CBS Sports Ranking: Landon Collins, SS, Alabama 16/25 Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon 29/33 Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State 36/32 Donovan Smith, OL, Penn State 35/34 Eric Rowe, DB, Utah 31/44 Eli Harold, OLB, Virginia 41/36 Eric Kendricks, LB, UCLA 30/50 T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh 47/42 Jalen Collins, CB, LSU 58/30 Jordan Phillips, DT, Oklahoma 57/31
  12. The more I read on Collins, the more I understand why he dropped. This is from NFL.com: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000048...-2015-nfl-draft
  13. Dupree at 23, Steelers get a stud.
  14. With Scherff gone, Flowers and Peat were next.
  15. adam

    Leonard Williams

Labrum injury concern, some teams did not have him in top 10.
  16. I am totally OK with pick. Passing league, gonna be tough to contain Alshon, Royal, and White.
  17. That would be an epic fail. No way we trade away multiple firsts for Cutler, to then trade Cutler/Forte away with multiple firsts for Winston. Hell no for 6 slots. Now I know most don't like Cutler, and Forte has soured due to his hold out, but we would not be better this year; would not be better next year, and with the lost picks, can't see how we would be any better in 3-5 years.
  18. My guess is most of us will only predict 6/10 correct in the top 10 with 4 picks coming from outside he projected top 10.
  19. Someone always falls. Just look at mocks from previous years and you will see 2-3 players projected in the top 10 are not drafted there.
  20. How about Washington? I like how that played out for them - Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson; Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut, Devin Funchess, WR, Michigan, Derron Smith, FS, Fresno State
  21. I just like the fact that the draft has some very solid players in the early 4th round and we will almost have 4 picks in the top 100.
  22. I agree, I don't think we take an OLB, and let the run on those go to allow us getting a higher rated player in the 2nd. We very well could get Collins in the 2nd, and I would be willing to move up a couple of slots and sacrifice a 5th or a 6th to get Collins and still use the #7 on a stud.
  23. Awesome job guys, I made a summary thread here: http://www.talkbears.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11003
