    Boycott

The organization has to bring in someone that is going to hold everyone accountable, and not just say it. I would love Holmgren, Cowher, Chucky, Harbaugh, anyone, even Iron Mike. We have too much talent to be 3-6. We only need 7 straight wins to miss the playoffs.
  2. I think the defense is so bad that the offense doesn't even try. Their WR end around always fools that silly SMC running the wrong way. Safeties are playing the run when the CB's are releasing WRs to open space to guard against the Center in the flat pulling and declaring himself eligible in flight.
  3. Trestman is in over his head. It is clear that he cannot handle the pressure. We have seen signs of it the last two years. He almost reminds me of this very nice, but passive High School Science teacher I had. He could not control his classrooms. Wild kids would tell him to F*ck off and he would just ignore them. Even when they interrupted the instruction, he would just go about his business. We actually had to step in to keep the kids under control, and had to get the Dean involved because the teacher would not address it. This year reminds me of that experience. I can just see Trestman trying to get everyone to do something and they either ignore him or do their own thing. Thank god we were not on Hard Knocks, because it would be an even bigger embarrassment (and another excuse). Last year he singlehandedly cost us the playoffs with his ridiculous decisions. He never challenged correctly, and was very passive in his play calling. He had Gould kick on a 2nd and 7 from the MIN 29 in OT, and he missed, a few plays later we lose. We were moving the ball easily, and could've gotten another first down for an easier kick. I have seen kicks on 3rd down, but never one on 2nd down from that far out. Gould missed one earlier and Walsh also missed a long one. You at least get it a couple of yards closer. His reasoning was that he didn't want to have a penalty take us out of FG position? Really. How about you try to win the game until you can't anymore. The only scenario that I have not considered is that Trestman didn't want Cutler, but someone else in the organization did, and he had to fit a square peg in a round hole. Cutler's best bet is to retire, because no one will ever sign him as their starter or backup. He is seen as a cancer now and if Trestman can't fix him, who can?
  4. Mongo, who do you upgrade on the OLine, I assume Mills. Bushrod is signed to a big contract, and Garza, Long, and Slauson (prior to injury) were solid. For the DLine, we just drafted 2, have Paea, Ratliff, and 3x FA signings. Allen is too expensive to cut, and Houston has a big cap hit too. We really need some NFL caliber Safetys and a new LB Corps. I agree on Tucker and Decam, they need to be fired.

    Silver Lining

We won the 2nd half 14-13. Our defense only allowed 6 which was less than our offense let up (7 on Pick-6). We had a Special Teams TD, and no one got injured on a sack celebration (because we had no sacks). We won the penalty battle 11-5 and had more penalty yards than GB 163-50. Williams had 288 Return Yards on a whopping 10 KO's. Our defensive players did not record a single Pass Defended, INT, Forced Fumble, or Sack. They kept a clean box score with tackles only. We let up 4 more pts than our last game and increased the margin of loss by 13. For our last 3 games, we have a point differential of -82.
  6. That is what needs to happen this week at a minimum. If there are not changes made this week, we need to seriously boycott. Do not attend anymore home games, leave Soldier Field empty and see how that goes over.
  7. I know everyone is pissed off, rightfully so, but let's keep it clean and stay away from personal attacks, political statements, or anything offensive (race, gender, etc). This is a time where we need to unite and come together as a fan base, and force changes within the organization. So let's keep it clean and provide some content other than "they suck." We are better than that.

    in 29 yrs...

OP, I agree, I was going to say the same thing. I have been watching for almost 40 years (as long as I can remember) and even the bad teams I watched and rooted for. This team is by far the most disappointing I can remember. I can't watch them anymore, and won't for the rest of the year. With this much talent on the team, we have yet to muster more than 28 pts (once)? We have been outscored 106-37 the last two games and that was because the other teams let up. If Rodgers stayed in, they could've easily scored 70 pts. I have never seen an offense look so defensive. Cutler is literally backpedaling and throwing off his back foot on every play and our only positive plays are these little bubble and WR screens for 3-5 yards. I have given Cutler every benefit of the doubt, but he sucks. He cannot read defenses and does not go through any type of progression. He literally exhibits every bad habit a QB can have. If you want to teach a young QB what not to do, watch Cutler. He has to be one of the most disappointing QBs of all time, George, Leaf, etc. Then you add his smug demeanor and sideline daze and this guy is impossible to like or root for. He was picking and biting on a hangnail on the sidelines. How about looking at some pictures or the tablet of your complete ineptness? Talk with your teammates and Offensive Line; find out who is doing something wrong and fix it. I would take McCown, Orton, or even Grossman over Cutler any day (and that is saying a lot). They all did more with less. The coaches.....what kind of a game plan was that? The offense is the most predictable in the league and that ridiculous WR end around is about 10 years too late. It fools no one. Our offense always seems to be on the defensive. We are blocking to prevent a loss, not blocking to make a gain (if that makes sense). Trestman is supposed to be an offensive guru, and his offense has indeed been offensive. Kromer? I thought you were great with Offensive Lines? I guess not. The defense, wow, can we have more players out of position on every play? It felt like we only had 9 players on the field. If we rush 4 against their 5, we have at least 2 free defenders to cover space or double up somewhere. This is not rocket science, there are only 5 players other than the QB you need to account for with your 11. The field is only so wide and the QB can only throw so far. Tucker is an idiot, and never should've been a DC. Seemed like a last resort signing (no one else wanted the situation). Special Teams, can we be any worse? I know Hester would not fix everything, but he is better than anything we have right now and was at least exciting to watch even if he did lose some yards. Williams can run from the 5 and still not make it to the 20. That runback does not make up for the other failings, GB was not even trying at that point. The punt? What the hell is wrong with O'Donnell, he has to be off roids or something. You don't lose 10-15 yards off your kicks in one year. We have all given Emery a pass so far, but he too now needs to be accountable. The Allen for Peppers swap did not work, Peppers leads the Packers in sacks and Allen gets manhandled on every play. Houston is an idiot and was over paid for one good season in Oakland (on a horrible team). Willie Young was his best FA signing. Bushrod sucks, we have no Safeties, and Bostic and Greene have not improved. McClellin? To this day I still don't understand his thinking on this pick. There were so many options, and you go with a 3-4 OLB from a weak conference, and you were a former scout. I believe he let Urlacher go a year too early and it changed the entire dynamic of the team's vibe. They could've signed him to a one-year deal and let it be known that it would be his last year. I think that situation split the locker room and we never truly recovered. Then you hand the franchise over to Cutler before he ever showed he could handle it. Now look where we are? The entire team is held hostage by Cutler and Allen's cap hits next year ($32 mil). If I am Tillman or Briggs, there is no way I am coming back to this team. It is not the same one they played on most of their careers. We had such a small window with Forte and Marshall, and we blew it. They both have 1-2 years left, but there are so many issues on both sides of the ball that you cannot possibly fix in that amount of time. We really need to clean house from top to bottom and take a year or two of sucking (top 10 picks) and get this thing right. /rant
  9. Yeah, but the cap hits are 19.5 then 3.0. $3 million in 2016 is nothing so the 2nd year is not a big deal. The only year it would be felt would be next year, but who cares. Release, cut, or trade every vet over 28 and stockpile a crap load of picks the next two years.
  10. No way, the Raiders have at least been competitive and have a young QB that will only get better. We got a fluke win in SF after a crazy comeback, beat a crappy Jets team (who didn't have Harvin and Smith was starting), and a bad Falcons team.
  11. No identity and no leadership.
  12. There is still the 2nd half, the Bears could make some adjustments.......
  13. 80-7 in last 2 1st halves.
  14. LMAO, we let Peppers go, sack-forced fumble against Cutler. His replacement Allen doing nothing. Great job Emery.
  15. We have been outscored 73-7 (and counting) in the last two first halves. That is beyond ridiculous. We are the worst team in the NFL, and the most disappointing by a long shot.
  16. Can we telegraph plays any more?
  17. I know people have season tickets and bought tix for games later in the year, but we don't need to come out and support this crap. That would be the best message, a half empty Soldier Field for the rest of the season.
  18. We can't even get a first down; we have officially hit rock bottom. This team has quit. With all these playmakers, and we can't even get a first down? What are the excuses going to be this week? We need accountability.
  19. I would fire the entire coaching staff.....at halftime.
  20. If we lose this game, I would put him on IR with some phantom injury (groin injury) and bring in Fales for the rest of the year. I would cut Cutler and take the cap hit next year unless some team would be silly enough to take him (even if we pay them).
  21. Woo hoo, a runback to the 14! Great job Special Teams!
  22. I'm sorry but this team is a freaking joke.
  23. How do they have someone open every play yet we look like we are throwing into double coverage every play?
  24. Wow who didn't see that coming. 4th Down play action to TE on a crossing route with SMC running the wrong way.
