  1. I would fire the entire coaching staff.....at halftime.
  2. If we lose this game, I would put him on IR with some phantom injury (groin injury) and bring in Fales for the rest of the year. I would cut Cutler and take the cap hit next year unless some team would be silly enough to take him (even if we pay them).
  3. Woo hoo, a runback to the 14! Great job Special Teams!
  4. I'm sorry but this team is a freaking joke.
  5. How do they have someone open every play yet we look like we are throwing into double coverage every play?
  6. Wow who didn't see that coming. 4th Down play action to TE on a crossing route with SMC running the wrong way.
  7. Seriously, why risk a penalty? I hate that.
  8. It was actually hard to listen to that. You can just feel how much it means to him.
  9. It is Dom Capers, so Dom Cafuckers.
  10. To me this is Briggs being a lazy vet. Great example for the young guys Lance. I can't imagine saying something like that in my job. Yeah, I stopped listening to my boss and just zoned out for 55 minutes playing Candy Crush.
  11. As a team we are 43.9 and Packers are 42.2. To me there are few Cutler stats that stand out. First, 7 of the 8 INTs are to the middle or right of the field (only 1 to the left). He has a 63.2 QB Rating with 2 mins or less in the half (he has regressed in this area). 4 INTs occurred on 1st Down (this to me is crazy if the defense is in their base package). The weirdest one is his stats with 3rd and less than 3. He has a 57.1 QB Rating, is 5-10 with 2 INTs. To me that one is crazy as that would seem to be a very favorable distance for play action. However, he has performed similarly the last few years. So only 2 of his INTs were on "traditional" passing downs and distances. He has also never fumbled on 3rd down.
  12. Very interesting stat comparison for Cutler and Rodgers: QB#1 - PCT:67.6%, Y/G: 261.5, TD 19, Sacks 20 QB#2 - PCT:67.2%, Y/G: 261.6, TD 17, Sacks 20 The biggest difference is INTs (8 to 3) and total turnovers, 12 to 4. Cutler turns the ball over 1.5 per game, Rodgers 0.5. One turnover the game basically separates (arguably) the best QB in the game (based on QB Rating) and ours (among other things).
  13. Baltimore is now in last place, lol, and SD got shutout at home by Miami. The combined record of teams we beat is 7-18, and none of them have a winning record.
  14. I haven't seen snaps broken down by position, but based on his overall stats, he sucked at DT and sucked a lot at DE.
  15. With Minnesota's win over Washington, and now at 4-5. Your Chicago Bears are now in last place. The only saving grace is we will get the easiest schedule in 2015.
  16. You are kidding right? He had 8 pressures, 1 sack, 2 stuffs, 3 tackles for loss, and 11 total tackles in a HALF of a season. 11 tackles is good for 446th in the NFL, TFL is 105th. There are 250 NFL players with at least one sack, and 128 have more than 1. For $5 million cap hit and a $35 million contract? The tackles are hilarious, that basically means every team has 14 players with 12 or more tackles.
  17. The point was even if we win, we will still probably miss the playoffs and make our pick much worse.
  18. I was thinking more along the lines of: @GB - win, we get our act together during the bye and win a shootout 37-34 MIN - win, we get out first home win and get to .500 TB - win, we get our first 3 game win streak @DET - loss, DET beats us in a tight game, 24-20, now 6-6 DAL - win, Romo still hurting, Cowboys come back down to earth (they just lost to WAS), 7-6 NO - win, outdoors and cold, NO loses, 8-6 DET - win, dome team outdoors in winter, we get revenge and make Division really interesting. 9-6 @MIN - win, with season on the line we destroy MIN to go 10-6 and still miss the playoffs. We end up 10-6, no playoffs, and the 20th pick.
  19. I believe there was some hesitation about Arians due to age and health. Sucks that we essentially had Trestman first when we had the pick of the litter.

    Marc Trestman

Had to visit these for a laugh.

    Dudes...

This entire year has been a hot mess. To me, this year was supposed to be different. We had all the offensive excuses out of the way, 2nd year in same system, solid O-Line with continuity, QB Guru, etc. On defense, we were historically bad last year but picked up several FA's and drafted defense early and often. On paper, we were going to improve. Most said by a couple of games, and I even seen us as a sleeper pick in the NFC (boy were they wrong). Everything pointed up. Then we lost to Buffalo, at home, against EJ freakin Manuel. We couldn't stop the run and got shredded because our LB's couldn't stay in their gaps. Then they got us again, they make a miraculous comeback in SF and then win at NY. We were ready for GB, then we played the game. We got embarrassed. Then we go to Carolina and give them a game, and then rebound with a solid game in Atlanta. Now we are coming home and can't possibly lose 3 in a row in Chicago, and we lose Ryan "Marino" Tannehill. So we all get optimistic about NE, and we allow a record amount of points in a half in team history. Under Trestman, we are now 11-13 and have a -75 in points differential. We have arguably the best set of skill players (RB, TE, WR, WR) in the game and we have scored 28 once. Now all I care about is beating GB.
  23. Exactly, Kromer is not immune to criticism. O-Line has taken a huge step back, Offense looks defensive, passive, out of sync and clunky. We have zero consistency. We all knew Tucker was bad, and nothing has changed my opinion of him to date. He is over his head as a DC. The game plan shows that as we cannot protect against play action passes, ever. For Emery, I wonder if he felt pressure to turn the roster over faster than normal. Out of Houston, Allen, and Young, Young has been the only one earning his pay. The others, especially Houston, are complete busts. Houston epitomizes this season. He is literally more valuable to us injured than on the field. Can you believe that was his first sack of the year, in garbage time against a backup rookie QB. Since the injury occurred at no fault to the team, he should lose the rest of his salary this year.
  24. He won't be missed, he rarely was even noticeable on the field. By far one of the biggest FA busts we've had in a long time.
