  1. Yeah, I am just saying the camera is not always on him the entire time. Who knows if he already looked at the tablet or photos? Then they cut to him when he is not. I have seen him looking at the tablet and photos before, but definitely not every time he comes to the sideline. That doesn't mean it is not happening. Maybe someone that has been to a game can confirm/deny if he does it, because the broadcast doesn't show everything. That is like saying everything on the internet is true.
  2. I just don't understand how a defense can defend all our playmakers every play. It seems like they are getting pressure while still dropping 7 into coverage and no one is open. Then when we are on defense, QBs can pick the zone apart.
  3. Yeah, if he is being reactive, that can only get you so far in this league. I really hope that defenses haven't figured him out because two straight games with halftime adjustments have killed us. Is Forte the problem? Back to back games with over 160 yards of total offense and 28 touches and we lose.
  4. They also don't show when he tests his blood sugar. The broadcasts do a good job of cutting in and showing him how they want him to be seen. To me, we all just have to accept this is who he is. Good sometimes, great sometimes, horrible sometimes. After this week, he is currently 11th in QBR. He needs to be top 5 with this offense.
  5. They flashed the stat during the game after the 2nd INT. The Bears basically never win when Cutler has 2 or more INTs, and have a great record when it is 1 or less. To me, regardless of all the other stats, this one is the strongest. After the 1st one, I didn't really care, but when the 2nd one was thrown, everyone knew it was over (even before Forte's fumble). The other number is the amount of points the other team scores. When they score 21 or less, we are 2-0, over 21, 0-3. When we score 27 or more, 2-0, when we score 24 or less, 0-3. So our sweet spot is 27-20 with Cutler throwing no more than 1 INT. The 2nd half, which has been a strength for Cutler, is now a weakness. The last 2 games, we have a total of 3 pts in the 2nd half. Besides for the 3 TD blitz in the 4th Quarter against SF, we only have 2 other TDs in the 2nd half all season. So in the other 9 quarters, excluding the SF 4th, we have 2 TDs, 4 FGs, and 4 INTs in 9 quarters.

A loss next week and it will be O-V-E-R.
  7. I am almost done with Trestman too, I will give him to the bye to right the ship. 5-3 or he is done. Lack of adjustments, our offense doesn't have the opponent's defense on their heels. Hard to believe with all the star players we have on the team. How can you fail with all those toys. Maybe he wants a 12 player on the field. Playoffs or bust for me. I've seen enough, especially if we end up with a losing record. He only stays if we make the playoffs. Otherwise, bring in someone who is going to hold everyone accountable and get the most out of them. Can I get a 53 roster of Fullers?
  8. Yeah, definitely something to consider. We could've signed a top flight Safety and at this point: Cutler This was the last game for me in regards to Cutler. He had his chance, all the receivers were healthy, he had the ball in his hands, at the end of the game, and he didn't make any plays. That throw to Holmes essentially defines his entire time with the Bears. There are at least 20 QBs, maybe more, that are doing more with less every week. It is not a new system and majority of the players should be clicking on all cylinders at Week 5. This season has 6-10 written all over it. We had 3 punts, 1 FG, 1 INT, and 2 fumbles in the 2nd half. That is sickening for this many "playmakers" on the team. Maybe Marshall should skip the Inside the NFL gig and figure out how to get open because he has sucked all year except for 1 game.
  9. and another OLB, CB, Nickelback, and DE.
  10. and Orton leads a game winning drive, woo hoo, he helped up by beating Detroit, at least a QB that was on the Bears beat them for us. Just as good as a win for us.
  11. Yeah, after last week, we really needed a win here. Now we have to win out until the bye (3 straight against ATL, MIA, and NE). We gifted Carolina this game. The punt return, our missed FG was ultimately the difference in the game. Then turnover after turnover to end the game is inexcusable. No one is stepping up. Where was Bennett or Marshall? What sucks is we were discussing the same issues after the GB game. We looked great for the 1st half and then everything fell apart in the 2nd half again. We can't miss a FG and give them a TD to end the half AFTER giving up a return for a TD. The defense actually played well enough for us to win, but Carolina always had a short field. No excuse on Cutler, he had the ball in his hands to seal the game, when, tied, and when behind and the offense had 3 turnovers. The throw to Holmes was horribly overthrown (exactly where it could not be), and if he hit in stride he had a chance at a long gain. Forte fumbling? After all those yards you fumble there. Just go down, the extra yard was not worth it there.
  12. Wtf lets leave Olsen open not even chipped.
  13. Wow what the hell. The one thing we could not afford there was another turnover.
  14. Yeah it is sickening and we are getting the short end of the stick every game.
  15. What is crazy is that we really are about 2 defensive players from being really good again (a Safety and LB). We probably waited one year too long on Briggs. He looks old, slow, and fat. If we can get even one via Free Agency and then draft high again on Defense, we should be able to see a big jump on that side of the ball (which is sorely needed).

I would rather blitz and make the QB get the ball out of his hands at a predetermined time than allow him time to pick the zone apart.
  17. Lacy was a Pro Bowler and Nelson leads the league in almost every single stat category. They are not as good as Marshall/Jeffery/Forte, but Nelson/Cobb/Lacy is pretty damn close. Bennett puts us over the top, but Rodgers is unfortunately much better than Cutler. Cutler is probably around #12 in the league, he has flashes that put him in the top 5 and dumb plays that put him below the top half of the league. The crazy part is it almost comes down to one or two plays a game that make the difference.
  18. Yeah, I know, it wasn't official until yesterday.

We are somewhere between the team that beat SF and NYJ and the team that lost to BUF and GB. What is crazy is that BUF loss is almost worse seeing how Manuel is not even starting anymore. We all knew this was going to be a tough schedule before the bye, and even going 4-4 would give us a chance in the 2nd half. If we can somehow go 5-3 into the bye, we have a great shot at 10-11 wins. If we go 4-4, 9-10 wins is more likely.
  20. Cutler would've been just as effective vs our defense playing like that. I watched the Morgan INT, and for some reason Morgan seems to cut his route short (almost stops) and then just lunges towards the ball. In any kind of inside route you have to beat the defender (who is over the top) to the ball and use your body to shield against that type of defense, and he clearly did not do that. If Morgan runs thru, the defender would have to run thru him to get the ball and it would've been DPI. Also, the defender broke on the route really early because Morgan telegraphed it pretty hard. Still a bad throw, but not the best route either. Cutler clearly throwing to a spot with the LB clearing out to cover the flats. He did not expect the DB to be there.
  21. They just need cameras at the goal line high up on the stadiums where they look down and are not blocked at ground level. I don't know if we ever want to get to sensors and RFID tags.
  22. On the 1st INT, it was a run play, but they had a 3-Deep look and based on the film, they never jumped those routes, so it played into their favor for that specific route. The risk of jumping it is a double move leaves it wide open for a huge play with no Safety over the top. They jumped it, the ball bounced 10 yards backwards into the air. The second one was a called 18 yard hook/curl, Marshall thought they wanted him to run a curl and go. He went, the ball didn't. Now for the Bennett non-TD, I looked at this from every angle, here is the best one showing the plane in yellow. I have the white lines on the inside of Bennett's feet and you can clearly see the ball extended directly towards the endzone. Half the ball is in the white (past the yellow line). This is not an angles trick, I could clearly see it in the video and this is not even the perfect stop point (as a split second earlier he is completely outstretched:
  23. He didn't have an INT the last 2 weeks?
  24. I was pissed too, but after watching the game again, the outcome looked much worse than it actually was. Did anyone see the MNF game, looks like NE is dead too? Cutler is such a polarizing figure that he has to be perfect not to be scrutinized. He cannot throw an INT. If he does, its Mr. Hyde, we are done, can't win with him at QB, etc, etc. I get it, the INTs sucked, but QBs throw picks. He is on pace for 16 INTs, 40 TDs and over 4,000 yards with 66% completion%. I will take that every year. Also, we have faced some great defenses this year, BUF (10th), SF (2nd), NYJ (3rd), and GB. Everyone said GB's defense sucked, yet they held Detroit to 10 pts on offense and we scored 17. Since the 2nd half of their NYJ game, GB's defense has only allowed 30 pts (10 quarters). A few interesting note: 3 of Cutler's picks have been on 1st Down (other one on 3rd Down). All have been to the right side of the field; 3 have been when we are trailing, and 1 when tied. Something to watch going forward. For the 3 on first down, if they have 8 in the box, are we throwing into the coverage, not doing a good enough job selling the run, etc?
