He nearing the statute of limitations on some of these incidents. This is old news and there were far worse incidents between now and then.
-
and based on the game last night, he also took the defense from last year with him too. Was that the worst loss for a Lovie Smith coached team?
-
Damn, Hester still looks great. Congrats on breaking the record, I wish it was in a Bears uniform, but if he does go into the Hall, it will be as a Bear. I wouldn't be surprised if Glennon starts the 2nd half. How many losses before Lovie is fired?
-
What is crazy is these were both 4-12 teams last year, so it was not like they were picking good teams from the get go. I would get rid of these games altogether except for the Thanksgiving games.
-
They are bringing up old stuff: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/...andon-marshall/ and trying to get him suspended like Rice for it.
-
Congrats to him, hopefully just the start of great things to come. This should also give him a good bump in the DROY voting.
-
Congrats to all Bears.
-
They are basically TMZ Sports for TV.
-
Possibly, but I would still like to see more of him and maximize his effectiveness.

Football Outsiders ratings (after Week 2): Obviously with a road win against a great team, we got a huge boost from last week. An interesting note is that due to Buffalo's win, they are now considered a stronger team making our Week 1 loss not look so bad. We improved 17.6% and now have a 49.1% to make the playoffs, which ends up being one of the Wild Cards. The NFC playoff teams are now: PHI 70.1%, SEA 69.5%, CAR 66.9%, GB 54.4%, ARZ 56.0%, and CHI 49.1%. SF is 7th at 46.9% and WAS is 8th at 41.7%. For team efficiency ratings, the Bears are now 6th (using their DAVE formula), DEN-1, SEA-2, NE-3, GB-4, CIN-5, CHI-6, NO-7, SF-8, PHI-9, CAR-10. NFC has 7 of the top 10, but AFC has 3 of the top 5, which was surprising. BUF? At 11, which means we lost in OT to #11 and beat #8. That is not bad at all. Our offense is now ranked 10th and defense is ranked 13th, which is awesome. Our ST still needs a lot of help at 27th. We really miss Hester here. We also need to get O'Donnell some protection so he can continue to boom the ball. His kicks were much better in Week 2, but I want some 60+ kicks. Player Ratings (DYAR): Cutler - 5th (Manning, Stafford, Brees, Dalton, Cutler), depending on which stats you use, Cutler is currently in the top 12 of all of them, which is great for us. Forte - Rushing-23rd/Receiving-10th - Obviously frustrated, but he had a dropped pass and is not making his own plays this year. Bennett - 7th - Great to see, he has been a stud and is clearly a top 10 TE. Jeffery - 14th - This to me is fine, especially with him laboring with a hammy. Marshall - 19th - I was surprised to see him this low, but the fumble seems to be what caused him to be this low. OLine - Run Blocking - 22nd, Pass Pro - 11th - Obviously not being able to run the ball, injuries didn't help, but the same off tackle run to start on first down has to go. DLine - Run Blocking - 14th, Pass Pro - 6th - It is great to see the run blocking in the top half of the league and the Pass Pro in the top 10. If we can just stay right there, we are going to be a really tough team to beat. Snap Counts: Mundy - 145 Mills - 141 Bushrod - 141 Long - 141 Cutler - 133 Jennings - 132 Briggs - 132 Bennett - 131 Forte - 129 Marshall - 127 Allen - 125 Mundy has played in 99.2% of the defensive snaps, Jennings and Briggs 98.4%, Allen 92.7%. I was surprised to see Houston at only 79% and Young at 44.4%. I am sure Young's snaps will double (and they need to). No real other surprises to me. I am actually glad to see a Safety in there. Mundy has been very consistent and a pleasant surprise. http://www.footballoutsiders.com

Really odd, especially with the Football Life on him coming out on Friday. ESPN being very shady and bringing this up in light of all the scandals.
-
So the Viqueens decide to reinstate that low life and now this emerges, another child abused: http://www.tmz.com/2014/09/15/adrian-peter...ta-vikings-nfl/ I can't see the NFL not stepping in now.

I know it is a long shot, but I would love to see him come back next year, even if it was in a backup role. He has truly been a delight to watch and has been one of my favorite Bears ever. He will be missed.
-
He is definitely bigger this year, and probably not in a good way.
-
Yep, Vereen and he almost had a sack on Kaepernick near the end of the game.
-
Nope, he was playing "Incognito".
-
It is funny that him and Fuller are now tied for the league lead in INTs.

I can't wait to see the media's response to this game. We also lost last week in OT, and easily could've won that game. Tonight, it was close, but really should've been a blowout by us. We won the turnover battle by 4 and won by 8. With the blown delay of game call and the Bennett incomplete, that would've changed the score to at least 31-16, which seems about right with the turnovers (us getting a FG after Bennett completion, SF only getting FG on first TD). Our Red Zone offense was on fire too. 4/4 in the red zone and zero turnovers vs a very good defense. The same defense that destroyed Dallas who beat Tennessee today; the same Tennessee team that beat KC, who almost beat Denver today. To me, looking at both games, we are a lot better than we showed last week, and SF is not as good as everyone thinks they are.
-
That is all you can be really. Every game is almost its own battle. We won tonight, but we need to keep it up, especially through this first part of the schedule.
-
He played great, and that is very promising with Tillman likely being out for a long time (if not forever). I loved his instincts and ability to break on the ball even when it was not to his receiver. That makes it really hard to throw to his side of the field.

If you watched the entire game. Something happened after that hit to Cutler in the 2nd quarter. The entire team seemed to rally around him (and then again when Peanut went down). Hopefully Jay doesn't have bruised ribs or anything worse. That looked bad. Now we get an extra day of rest and a long flight home. Allen showed up to play, Young was an absolute beast, Houston was present, Ratliff was huge in the middle. SMC got a sack, made a couple of good plays in coverage and actually looked the part. Conte had an insane INT. Mundy was all over. Fuller? Are you serious. Briggs came alive after the half as well. Bostic played a solid game. For the offense, with all those injuries, and them taking Forte away, the effort was amazing. Kudos to the line and Cutler. Marshall is a baller. Now the only phase that still needs work is the Special Teams. Coverage was ok, but we run too many out and don't even make it to the 20 (and risk a penalty which pins us further back). The blocked punt is unacceptable. O'Donnell steps to the right, so we need more protection on that side. When he did kick it, they were better than last game, but I am still waiting for one of his 60+ kicks. In the end, a win is a win, but this one is a little different. We go into NY 1-1 (which was expected), but we go in with a lot of confidence. Hopefully the extra day will allow the injured to heal.

I don't think there is any question after tonight.......McCown had 2x rushing TD's and Cutler had none.
-
Update the Cutler vs McCown thread lol.
-
It did look bad, but everyone knew this team was better than it has looked. Well I think SF awoke the sleeping giant. Cutler gets speared in the chest, and then throws 3x 4th quarter TDs.
