  1. I would rather they just put the ball into the skill players hands and let them make a play. Bennett doesn't really get separation, so throwing to him on a crossing route is not ideal.
  2. Wow Cutler, wow Alshon!
  3. Finally a call against the Lions.
  4. I hate refs, we never get the calls in our favor. Holding can be called on every play.
  5. Of course a penalty on special teams, but they don't name a player, because we had to hold on that type of return.
  6. Lions get the Phantom face mask penalty where Acho grabbed the jersey.
  7. Wtf Fuller, just cut the dude, he never turns his head on any throws. Zero awareness.
  8. Wtf, Megatron wide open thru zone coverage.
  9. Fuller and Amos with 2 big hits. I haven't seen us hit like that in awhile.
  10. Looks great, moving in pocket and escaping when needed.
  11. Much better play calling by Gase, near perfect on that drive. Something new on every play. 4 guys trying to tackle Forte without the ball on Langford's TD.
  12. Cutler scrambling with a nice strike to Jeffery.
  13. Wow great stop on 3rd and 1, good coverage and good pressure. Jarvvvviiiiissss JENKINSSSSSSSS!
  14. Yeah we can't do that, and we also scored really quick. We need to chew more clock. Defenders were all over Bennett on that pass.
  15. Yeah not the best start by the defense, no pressure, lost contain, blown assignments. At least we didn't have any penalties.

    White Rehabbing

Mine too. That would be awesome, but only if he was ready. Based on the recovery timeline, that is not out of the question as we are still talking about 40 days from today. So if he can progress from running to sprinting to cutting to contact, we could see him practicing mid-November.
  17. I would say that is fair coming from 26 (you rarely see massive jumps or drops). However, you are right, we should be ahead of OAK, and probably DAL (w/o Romo/Dez) and possibly SD (who has only beat DET and CLE).
  18. I believe Alshon's injury is tied to his calf as well. Which if both are ailing, there is not much you can do. The calf is actually harder to run on when injured unless you run flat footed. To me this may be better salary cap wise because there is no way he is going to get AJ Green type money (4/$60mil) or Bryant/Thomas type of money (5/$70mil). Maclin just got 5/$55, so I would assume Jeffery's high is going to be near Maclin's $11/yr and a low around $9 (which would be the 13th highest WR contract per year). So shooting darts in the middle, that is about $10mil a year over 5 yrs. We have enough cap space to extend Jeffery, Long, and re-sign Acho, Jenkins, and Porter to new deals (as long as they keep up their play).
  19. The only other thing I can think of is they thought there is no way KC is going to think we're going to throw to that guy, so throw it to him.

    Remaining Schedule

Well, we won the first one, so at 2-3 and 11 games remaining, I am thinking 7-8 is still a realistic projection. We need to take care of business and beat teams we are supposed to beat. @ Detroit (0-5) BYE Minnesota (2-2) @ San Diego (2-3) -- @ St. Louis (2-3) Denver (5-0) @ Green Bay (5-0) San Francisco (1-4) -- Washington (2-3) @ Minnesota (2-2) @ Tampa Bay (2-3) Detroit (0-5)
  21. I would say it is 70% Trestman, 20% Flacco, and 10% skill position players in general. It would shock me if he lasts the entire year, I can't see Harbaugh letting this go on too long.
  22. That is what I asked, why use video replay to review a call, but then not have official cameras aligned with the goal line.
  23. Both seemed to be designed to get the ball out quick and to allow the receiver to make a play. At least neither were intercepted, and Mariani did score on the one.
  24. I think the lack of pressure was tied to Charles and the Bears wanting Smith to beat us. At times we only rushed 3, and they seemed to leave a 6th blocker back most of the time. I also like how we contained Charles for the most part. He had one big play, that 26 yard reception that he juked SMC on. Other than that, he wasn't dominant and didn't score. The defense has only allowed 4 offensive TDs in the last 3 games (that is a great trend). Both OT's played awesome against some great edge rushers. After the shaky start Grasu played solid. Wilson has really stepped up, and he is technically our #4 WR (Jeffery, Royal, White). Porter really shined, and I believe Porter, Fuller, and Amos played every defensive snap. Hats off to them. McPhee is a beast, we need to feed off him. In regards to stats, those don't mean that much right now (especially yards per game) but promising nonetheless. The Bears have only allowed 1x 100 yard rusher and the longest run against them is 21 yards. The longest pass allowed has been 34 yards and I believe that is the only play more than 30 yards against our defense all year. In terms of 3rd Downs, our defense is allowing a conversion 43.5% of the time on the season (which is higher than we would like it), but only 37% over the last 3 games (so we are seeing improvement). This is also coupled with sacks, in the first two games we had zero sacks; in the last 3, we have 9.
