I don't care about the record. We are a better team and we need to come out and play like one. It is a short week and we are at home, if we can't win in that situation, we don't belong in the playoffs anyway.

It is hard to get a good read on him right now because it seems like he only starts performing when teams go to a prevent type of defense and allow him to pick them apart. The Bears won all 3 games that he threw for less than 300, and lost the 2 when he threw for over 300. Here is some other interesting numbers: He has yet to be sacked in the 4th Quarter When the Bears are 3rd and 8-10, Jay has a 112.5 QB Rating 4 of his INT are on 1st Down (this is very high considering he only has 6 total), he has thrown 0 on 2nd Down 1st Down is his worst Down with a 81.4 rating, 4 INT and 2 sacks, and he has attempted 73 passes on 1st Down, compared to 57 for 2nd, and 48 for 3rd. We need to get the running game going to prevent predictable pass plays. The 2nd and 3rd Quarters are his worst, he has a 70.6 rating in the 2nd, and a 72.6 in the 3rd. 7 of the 9 sacks have been in those quarters. I have no idea why this occurs, but we have been digging holes in these quarters only to come roaring back in the 4th (which may be more to do with the other teams defense than anything else). With 2 mins left in a half, he has a 110.0 rating, so the 2-minute offense works. We need more no-huddle and 2 minute offense.

This is a huge loss for them as he is arguably the best player on their Defense. It would be nice for them to lose 2 of 3 with him out. There was also a report that it could be season ending depending on how it responds.

With all of our other needs, I don't think it would be worth it. At this point with Marshall and Alshon, we need a true slot receiver.

If he can stay healthy and at a consistent level, he could easily shatter all the Bears franchise Receiving records when it is all said and done. He should be getting some Pro Bowl consideration at some point.

We need to win the next 2 and go into the bye 5-2.

Pretty big deal to get a franchise record in only your second season. Alshon is a beast.

The last two games have been incredibly frustrating. We are going to be lucky to win 8 games at this rate. It is like the team didn't realize that the Saints would blitz. The Defense actually played pretty good for not getting a lot of pressure. Bennett needs to hold onto that ball. Surprised Briggs of all players fell for the hard count. Gould needs to work on his onside kicks, all of his so far have been too easy to handle.

The hurries are definitely somewhat subjective because modifying footwork may have been due to other variables.

It definitely shows, we have been brutal.

Technically you cannot discount any stats during any game. Everything counts. If the Bears get that onside kick at the end and drive down and score, then all the stats count? I agree that I would like to see more no-huddle, and would like to see Anderson or Wilson in the mix. Even to just give an open backfield set with 4 or 5 Wideouts. Especially on a 1st Down, teams would have to call a timeout or risk having a LB on a WR split out wide.

Hell, if we just sped up on those last 2 drives and played with a little more urgency, we would've been kicking off with a lot more time on the clock and 2x timeouts. We at least would've had the chance to force one last 4th down punt, a possible return, and maybe 1 or 2 shots at the end zone.

This was an odd game, everything seemed off. Cutler was forcing balls and holding the ball too long. That fumble-6 was basically the difference in the game. I thought the D didn't play very well, but the Lions were only 2-11 on 3rd Downs and we only lost the Turnover battle 3-4. That long Punt Return really hurt as well. Special Teams looks like crap. Watching the O-Line, I thought for the most part they played solid vs a top D-Line and gave Cutler enough time, but for some reason the ball was not coming out fast enough. Our D-Line had a few highlights, but not enough pressure. I thought we would be 3-1 at Game 4, but Reggie Bush was having his way with the Defense, pitiful tackling..... Crazy to think we only allowed 3 Offensive pts all 2nd half and still lost by 8, what a brutal 2nd quarter.

Don't they have Cassel? Who would want him? He is currently the lowest rated QB in the league this year, worse than Ponder, Geno Smith, and Weeden. Now that is bad.

Hold ball on kickoffs when it is too windy? To me, I just wonder why they waited so long. He has been pretty bad since Week 10 of last year with only one game with a QB Rating above 80.

Frey was all over vs PIT. You definitely noticed him. He could easily move into a starting CB job down the road if he keeps up his play.

I could see us as high as #3 and low as #5 behind NE and NO.

If you compare to how Fisher, Joke-l, Johnson, Fluker, and Pugh have fared so far, Long is a steal. Cooper is on IR, and the only other Rookie OL playing decent is Warmack. For the RoY, Bernard, Thompkins, and Vaccaro are in the mix.

Interesting that we have beat 2 teams that are 0-3, and GB's only win was against a 0-3 team. They also have their bye this week, which is really early. Minnesota gets 7 home games and 1 game in Europe this week (btw, great product we are sending to England, 2x 0-3 teams, lol). Skip Bayless called Cutler, Clutchler, lol.

What I like is that we are winning in different ways. Offense vs Offense, we are outscoring opponents 75-60 in 3 games. We have overcome some turnovers, and won without making any.

Sucks for us and him, as he was on the franchise tag. Collins has be playing really solid, so hopefully others will step up.
