  1. Technically you cannot discount any stats during any game. Everything counts. If the Bears get that onside kick at the end and drive down and score, then all the stats count? I agree that I would like to see more no-huddle, and would like to see Anderson or Wilson in the mix. Even to just give an open backfield set with 4 or 5 Wideouts. Especially on a 1st Down, teams would have to call a timeout or risk having a LB on a WR split out wide.
  2. Hell, if we just sped up on those last 2 drives and played with a little more urgency, we would've been kicking off with a lot more time on the clock and 2x timeouts. We at least would've had the chance to force one last 4th down punt, a possible return, and maybe 1 or 2 shots at the end zone.
  3. This was an odd game, everything seemed off. Cutler was forcing balls and holding the ball too long. That fumble-6 was basically the difference in the game. I thought the D didn't play very well, but the Lions were only 2-11 on 3rd Downs and we only lost the Turnover battle 3-4. That long Punt Return really hurt as well. Special Teams looks like crap. Watching the O-Line, I thought for the most part they played solid vs a top D-Line and gave Cutler enough time, but for some reason the ball was not coming out fast enough. Our D-Line had a few highlights, but not enough pressure. I thought we would be 3-1 at Game 4, but Reggie Bush was having his way with the Defense, pitiful tackling..... Crazy to think we only allowed 3 Offensive pts all 2nd half and still lost by 8, what a brutal 2nd quarter.

    Targets

http://www.kffl.com/fantasy-football/targets/index.php Targets - Receptions Marshall: 28 - 20 Jeffery: 21 - 13 Forte: 21 - 19 M. Bennett: 20 - 12 Marshall is 22nd in the league for targets thru 3 games. Forte leads all RB's with 19 Receptions. It is really nice to see Jeffery and a real TE on that list. This diversity really makes it hard to target one guy. At least we can say Trestman is channeling his inner TalkBears and listening to our advice on spreading the ball around.
  5. Don't they have Cassel? Who would want him? He is currently the lowest rated QB in the league this year, worse than Ponder, Geno Smith, and Weeden. Now that is bad.
  6. Hold ball on kickoffs when it is too windy? To me, I just wonder why they waited so long. He has been pretty bad since Week 10 of last year with only one game with a QB Rating above 80.
  7. Frey was all over vs PIT. You definitely noticed him. He could easily move into a starting CB job down the road if he keeps up his play.
  8. I could see us as high as #3 and low as #5 behind NE and NO.
  9. If you compare to how Fisher, Joke-l, Johnson, Fluker, and Pugh have fared so far, Long is a steal. Cooper is on IR, and the only other Rookie OL playing decent is Warmack. For the RoY, Bernard, Thompkins, and Vaccaro are in the mix.
  10. Interesting that we have beat 2 teams that are 0-3, and GB's only win was against a 0-3 team. They also have their bye this week, which is really early. Minnesota gets 7 home games and 1 game in Europe this week (btw, great product we are sending to England, 2x 0-3 teams, lol). Skip Bayless called Cutler, Clutchler, lol.

    Great game

What I like is that we are winning in different ways. Offense vs Offense, we are outscoring opponents 75-60 in 3 games. We have overcome some turnovers, and won without making any.
  12. My observations: The Bears won The Bears are 3-0 Cutler's QBR is 78.1, 3rd best in NFL The Offensive Line passed another test playing against a 3-4 The Defense continues to produce, outscoring 6 teams this week The Bears won on the road in a hostile environment, in prime time We are undefeated and still have not played our best football

    Cutting Peppers

This is what I am tracking for next year: $18,183,333 - 2014 Salary $8,366,668 - Dead Money $9,816,665 - Savings So we would save almost $10 million by cutting him.
  14. Sucks for us and him, as he was on the franchise tag. Collins has be playing really solid, so hopefully others will step up.
  15. Only 5 NFC Teams with winning records after Week 3: SEA 3-0 NO 3-0 CHI 2-0 DAL 2-1 DET 2-1 and AFC has 10 teams, go figure (can have 11 if OAK wins): NE 3-0 KC 3-0 CIN 2-1 HOU 2-1 MIA 3-0 DEN 3-0 BAL 2-1 TEN 2-1 IND 2-1 BUF/NYJ 2-1 That Cincy win was huge, seeing how they played against GB.

    TRich Trade

I think it still has some leverage power since he was only drafted last year.
  17. According to Sportscity, http://www.sportscity.com/nfl/salaries/chi...bears-salaries/ the Bears will have $86.3 committed in 2014/15 with Cutler, Melton, Tillman, Jennings, Hester, Gould, Garza, Wright, Wootton, Williams, Anderson, and Costanzo all coming off the books.
  18. The Steelers have absolutely no running game, and their passing game is not that good either. I can't believe we are only favored by 2 or 2.5. When it is less than a FG, it is basically a pick'em. I say Bears 27-10.

    TRich Trade

Or keep TRich and still draft a QB with their original pick. The Colts are more than likely going to be a mid-20's pick. Though you can still get quality talent in that pick, there is no way that equals #3 from 2012. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but this trade seems fishy and would be contested in most Fantasy Football leagues as too lopsided.

    TRich Trade

Haven't they had that feeling for the last 20+ years? I thought with Weeden, TRich, Cameron, Gordon, they were starting to have a decent Offensive Corps to work from, and their defense was solid. To me, in Year 2, this doesn't make much sense. There is no way a late 2014 1st Rounder is going to equal the production of TRich over the same period. With rookie contracts under control, even from a financial perspective, this is confusing. It was reported that Cleveland initiated contact on the trade. Why not do this in the offseason, why now? I understand IND was in need of a RB, but there have to be a handful of teams that would've been willing to give up that type of pick to have TRich this soon after his rookie deal. Cleveland also had to pay the bulk of the bonuses, which makes the deal even better for Indy.

    TRich Trade

Even though it was in the same round, there is nothing similar about the Olsen trade and TRich trade. Olsen was not traded during the season, and was basically let go because of Martz. Carimi and Benson? Not even close. TRich had a great rookie year and was poised to have another solid year. He caught 51 balls last year as a rookie. He is crazy versatile and would fit in almost any offense. There is no way Cleveland is going to be better at any point in the next 5 years without TRich and with whoever they pick in the 20's with Indy's first round pick next year.
  22. I don't think it is that complicated. It sounds to me that if the receiving team has a penalty on the play, the kicking team can either accept the penalty or decline which would invoke the first touching rule. The only time the kicking team would get the ball would be if the penalty resulted in a first down from the original line of scrimmage. That is why, even with a penalty, the kicking team would never get the ball at the point of the touching, subsequent recovery and fumble spot by receiving team, or have the ability to recover the ball after they touched if first.
  23. Something just doesn't sound right.
