This is a great point, and often gets overlooked. How many times did we "just line up and try to beat someone", both on offense and defense. To me, that just begs to get beat by teams that are more creative than you. You don't let the other team dictate what you do, and you have to play to your strengths and to the opponents weaknesses. I don't know how often we did that. We really did nothing "advanced" on either side of the ball, it was the skill of our players that gave us our wins.

Who calls the plays in SF, because it looks like Harbaugh runs the offense? Listening to the commentators, Harbaugh gets most of the credit for the QB development in SF.

Yeah, a bunch of Manning's throws were dying, you could see he has lost some arm strength. It was an exciting game nonetheless. Glad to see Ray Lewis gets another game. Now is GB, HOU, and SEA loses, we will have every candidate available other than Armstrong from ATL.

If one guy says that, it is one thing, but when it is corroborated with a 2nd person completely separated from the first, that basically confirms the information. and no, we never heard that about Angelo. Stuff like this really impresses me about Emery, because this type of execution breeds success.

This is not who you want, but who do you think Emery will select as the next HC? I an interested to see who the top 3 will be, and if it is in line with what I believe.

Or that he was faking it anyway. Cutler cannot catch a break, and it is sort of surprising coming from Bears fans who should know their QB better than the national media and audience. We watch every game, every news conference, and should have a better idea of his character and personality than others. I was pretty critical of Cutler early on, but he has grown on me over the last few years. It is nice to have some continuity at the QB position for the first time in a long time. Next year he will be the Bears all-time Passing leader in almost every single statistical category.

Maturity? It just seems like people will always find something wrong with Cutler, regardless of the situation. RG3 is not mature, and in reality, his immaturity is what caused further damage to an already reconstructed knee. His immaturity and lack of proper decision making skills cost his team a possible playoff victory. To me, RG3 got swallowed in his own pride and hype. He even believes to this day that he was the "best option" to give his team a chance to win because "he was the starting QB", even after injuring his knee the first time in the game. However, based on the actual game, not the one in RG3's head, he was completely worthless and actually made his team significantly worse - which in turn resulted in a loss. But hey, he is a trooper, he stayed in and toughed it out, but for what? Try 8 months of recovery and probably a significantly shortened career. Cutler didn't appear to be hurt? lol that is funny. Maybe he should've limped more. Sometimes injuries like that, especially with a joint or dislocation don't hurt as much as they feel funny or off. Urlacher had that wrist dislocation, but played thru it until halftime, not even knowing it was that bad. Of course he was frustrated, it was like playing without an OLine, he was hit or hurried on almost every offensive snap. Also, his decision to leave the game almost resulted in a comeback win for us. If Hanie doesn't throw a pick-6 to Raji, that game is tied.

Picks are good, if we got Ogletree and any decent OL in the 2nd I would be happy. I am sort of confused with the double 3-90 picks though. Are you saying one or the other? Why would we lose a 5th? The 20th pick is worth 850, and the 29th pick is worth 640, so just getting a 3rd (worth 132) would not be enough, and we definitely wouldn't give up a 5th for nothing. Now an interesting pick would be SF's pick from CAR in the 3rd (76th). That would be a better swap than going all the way to the end of the round. So: 1-29* From SF for 1-20 2-50 3-76* From SF thru CAR 4-116 5-148 6-180

Yes, He is the only OL being projected for the top 5 in most mock drafts after a few others have announced they are returning to school.

Yeah, it all is a crapshoot. Rankings will change 100 times before the draft, and I have yet to see a mock draft even get half the 1st round picks correct, let alone the entire draft. At this point, you just have to look at a group of guys and figure out the range where they will go (which will change as well). If there are a couple of OL that are available at 20, then I wouldn't mind moving down to pick up an extra pick. Moving from 20 to 26 would be enough to get us a late 3rd round pick.

From all the reports, it looks like Sullivan, McCoy, Dennison, and Trestman are the frontrunners, but Arians can be in the conversation after this weekend. Getting excited as we get closer to Emery's self-imposed deadline. To me, if he really wants someone by the 19th, let's hope it is not one of the guys still in the playoffs (McCoy and Dennison), and we don't settle for someone else. At this point, I would be happy with any of the top 5 as they each bring decent pedigrees and experience to the position.

I completely agree. You can see the play where he re-aggravates it in the 1st quarter, right before the 2nd TD near the end of the quarter. Then it seemed like he/it got worse and worse as the game continued, which is to be expected. After the first drive in the 2nd half, he should've been pulled.
