I hate this position, just good enough not to get elite talent, and just bad enough to not make the playoffs.

Like I said, they all were PI, but the calls in general for the day were going against the Bears. If they are going to call those, they have to call the one on the last play to Jeffery, and they didn't. The calls were not even. They also missed a blatant hands to the face when Raji hit Cutler, then Peppers gets a clean hit on Rodgers and gets 15 yards. The entire game was called like that.
-
That makes me sick. He should be fired just for that fact alone.
-
Jason, I agree that all calls were PI, but the defender is hand checking the entire time as well, where is the illegal contact? Also, on the first one in the endzone, there was a lot of acting on the part of the DB, unless Alshon has super human strength. He still pushed off, but the flop made it look much worse. On the one down the sideline in the endzone, how does the side judge not call it from 5 feet away, but the back judge does from 25 yards away? Even Aikman was questioning the calls, and the non-calls.
-
Yeah, they both should be fired tonight.
-
I have to agree, Rodgers was pressured as much as Cutler and still found a way to drop in some nice passes. Granted, he has a much deeper Receiving Corps, but Cutler didn't make any plays on his own. Cutler is a system QB, he is definitely average at best when he is not in a good system. Look at Cutler this year. He has 1x 300 yard game, and 6 games with less than 200 yards passing (not including HOU when he was knocked out).
-
He was double teamed almost the entire game and we no one else could get open, pitiful.
-
There is no way, two straight years starting a combined 14-4 and ending 2-10?
-
Team is probably the most predictable team in the NFL. We will be lucky to win another game. Yay, we get an 8-8 season, no playoffs, and the 16th pick, woo hoo!!!
-
Assuming we don't make the playoffs this year, we will have only one playoff appearance in the last 6 years. No coach should be still coaching with that type of track record. He should be fired today after this piss poor showing, and 2nd straight loss at home vs Division opponents.
-
Exactly, I was surprised we were in that group.
-
True, that is the only bright side, but these refs have been crap today, there is no way you can miss the defender with a handful of jersey.
-
Wow, these refs are complete Bullshit.
-
Yeah, it makes me sick, Cutler is hit like that on almost every throw. Cutler was also hit in the face with no call.
-
What a garbage call, this is ridiculous.
-
It still amazes me that we have played this bad, and are only down by 8. It feels like 28.
-
I knew Cutler was going there, with Rodriguez wide open in the flat.
-
We better score 7 here.
-
wtf is with these refs?
-
Refs are brutal... Conte's PI phantom call in the endzone when it was illegal contact, and now Offensive PI on incidental contact.
-
Damn this season has went to shit. Just fire Lovie after the game. We will be lucky to win another game.
-
Yeah, this game turned to crap really quick. Cutler's Interception and then another Rodger's TD.
-
Loved that drive. Forte with a nice run lowering his shoulder, then Marshall in Beast Mode for the TD.

I was thinking about draft order for the upcoming draft and realized we will end up in the dead zone again (14-20) unless we have a complete turnaround and run the table. Over the past 7 years, 6 teams have had only 1 selection in the first 16 picks: 01 - Andrew Luck - IND 10 - Jerod Mayo - NE 12 - Haolti Ngata - BAL 14 - Chris Williams - CHI 15 - Lawrence Timmons - PIT 15 - Jason Pierre Paul - NYG First, what seems pretty interesting is the fact that these teams represent 5 SuperBowl winners and 5 losers, totaling 10 Super Bowl appearances in the last 7 years. Now this would make sense because good teams pick in the 2nd half of the round, but I was surprised at the sustained success of all these teams compared to teams like STL and BUF who have picked 7 times in the last 7 years in the top half of the draft. Looking at the names above, every team drafted an impact player except for the Bears. Now take that out to 10 years for the same teams: 04 - Phillip Rivers - NYG 04 - Cedric Benson - CHI 10 - Terrell Suggs - BAL 11 - Ben Roethlisberger - PIT 13 - Ty Warren - NE 14 - Tommie Harris - CHI 16 - Troy Polamalu - PIT The Bears again tanked compared to the selections other than NE. The Giants turned Rivers into Manning, while Suggs, Roethlisberger, and Polamalu all have been franchise players since being drafted. I know the Bear's top picks have always been scrutinized, but it is hard to defend our picks when other teams have had success year in and year out without having good picks as well.

So much for Lovie's first pledge, "Beat GB", how is that working out for you Lovie? I believe we are something like 8-10 against GB under Lovie (2-8 against Rodgers). I almost want to make this Lovie's legacy game. A win puts us in the driver's seat for at least a playoff spot, and keeps the Division Title alive. A loss considerably hurts our playoff chances, and I don't know if we recover with the other hot teams coming up behind us. To me, going 7-1 and not making the playoffs would be one of the biggest collapses in NFL history, and no coach should be given a free pass, especially considering Lovie got one last year.
