  1. I was only saying if it was an illegal hit that would be fined anyway or resulted in a flag.
  2. Will be nice to see him back in action again.
  3. They could also do it based on the injury length of the other player. Every week the injured player is out, the offender should be suspended (and lose his game check) for the same amount of games. That seems fair to me.

Brian, I appreciate your updates, and I would say your source has been right more times than not. I would ask that if you don't want to post any source info, you can at least PM me with it. Obviously the source is not the final decision authority, so things can change, and with something like an injury, that can change day to day. I would say that Cutler has a 25% chance of playing, only because it is a Monday Night game. If there was a higher likelihood, they would not have went out and got McCown so quickly. Alex Smith has already practiced, so unless Cutler returns on Saturday at the latest, I don't think he will play.
  5. Forte's rushing yards are also down about 10 yards a game this year. So I don't think you can correlate anything from his stats to Marshall's. Forte was hurt, missed some time, and wasn't 100% for several weeks. I believe that affected him more than Marshall. Looking at Targets vs Receptions, Marshall is the top WR and Jeffery is the only other WR/TE over 60%. I don't even know why they attempt a pass to Davis when he is not even catching half thrown to him, and when he does, he fumbles anyway. Marshall 103-67 65.1% Hester 27-15 55.6% Jeffery 23-14 60.9% Bennett 34-17 50% Davis 26-11 42.3% Forte 33-22 66.7% You also have to consider Marshall is essentially playing as Knox and Williams combined from last year with Jeffery out. Knox with Marshall and Jeffery would've been special. So I just think that all the other Receivers are horrible, but Forte needs to see more looks out of the backfield. To answer your question, no, Marshall has not hurt the offense, I can't imagine how bad we would've been without him and someone like Davis getting more chances to drop passes with his rock hands (he has no fingers) or fumble. There are also 8 players with over 90 targets, and Marshall is 3rd with 103. So if he is getting too many looks, so is Wayne, Cruz, Fitzgerald, Johnson, Welker, Green, and Bowe. To me that is some good company.
  6. An extra day for Cutler to get cleared to play.

I agree its on Tice and Lovie as well for sending Davis out there, but Davis complained about not playing a bigger role in the offense, and this is what he does with his opportunities.

Yeah, but Watt is the DPOY the year, everyone has already crowned him, and he did nothing. Sure the conditions helped, but if he was that good, he would've had a bigger impact.

lemon, regardless, they held Watt without a Sack or Deflected Pass. He was basically a non-factor. The O-Line didn't play great, but it was a vast improvement over the past few weeks. Overall, I think it comes down to the play calling. Even when we could run the ball, we would stop and throw 3 straight incompletions, then punt. It was frustrating, because I thought we were the better team. Connor, I would love to see Rodriquez in on more passing plays. Even a screen out of the backfield after he chips the D-End.
  10. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/...ocol-jay-cutler I really hope Dobbins gets fined and suspended: Cutler hit
  11. Bears expected to sign McCown: http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2012/11/be...osh_mccown.html This could be precautionary, but also could mean they expect him to miss some time.
  12. I agree, the forecast did not change for the last week, everyone knew it was going to be nasty.

Did you not get enough of Cutler before he got hurt? He looked like crap, even when he had time. Davis was a big reason why we lost tonight. His only catch resulted in a fumble. You can't play much worse.

For the offense, I saw 3 drives that were killers. Both of Cutler's INTs happened on the HOU side of the 50, we should've had points. Everyone knew it was going to be a ball control game, and limiting turnovers should've been key. Instead, Cutler throws 2 horrible picks that kill drives. Then in the 3rd we get to the HOU 5 and we only get a FG. Where the hell was Bush when we had 1st and Goal at the 10? Instead we run Forte twice for 4 yards, making Campbell throw on 3rd down. Please just cut Davis, definitely an addition by subtraction. He either misses a block or holds, he drops or deflects passes in defenders hands, or fumbles after the catch. He is worthless.
  15. True, but if the offense turns if over 4 times, chances are you are going to lose. Also, the offense didn't capitalize on the 2 Jennings INTs.
  16. lol. It almost seems like they abandon what is working. They were running great over the right tackle with Bush and Forte, then they completely abandon that for garbage plays. Kellen Davis just needs to be cut, he is horrible. No way JJ Watt is DPOY, I didn't even notice him all game. He had 2 tackles, no sack, and no passed deflected.
  17. Yep, not going to win when you give it away 4 times.
  18. Yeah refs were horrible in this one, just as bad as the Tice playcalling.
  19. I agree, he sucks. That was a horrible quarter, but we are only down by 3 pts. This is such a winnable game, I will be pissed if we lose.
  20. Who was he throwing to, Davis? That was a horrible turnover after the Marshall catch.
  21. This sucks, how does Hester not get a half a yard 1v1? Davis and Bush both lose fumbles, we are killing ourselves.
  22. Actually the WR lined up wrong and left the Tackle uncovered. Either way, they made a FG in overtime only to have a delay of game penalty, then they miss the next FG. SF looked like garbage.
  23. Yeah, this will be something to watch all week. STL played them close all game, and that was with Smith.
