That is sort of misleading. Yeah Buffalo was a pretty bad team as well and couldn't stop the run. However, they were solid against the pass and in the secondary (something we lacked), and actually had a decent defensive average per play.

Per Rotoworld: I would actually really like this re-hire. Fewell was our DB's coach in 2005, and has been the DC in Buffalo since 2006. Like Rotoworld mentioned, having him focusing on the Secondary and Marinelli on the D-Line could make for a solid team of coaches.

Not if it's Bates!
-
That would be nice. Bates would be a huge upgrade over Turner.

Do they wait until after the Super Bowl, or is this something they get done soon? I would hope the sooner the better to get the head start on next season.

Per NFL.com, so the prediction was correct:
-
Shaw has really stepped it up this year. I also liked this:

NFC: WILDCARD: Packers @ Cardinals - Packers Eagles @ Cowboys - Cowboys DIVISIONAL ROUND: Packers @ Saints - Saints Cowboys @ Vikings - Cowboys NFC CHAMPIONSHIP: Cowboys @ Saints - Saints AFC: WILDCARD: Jets @ Bengals - Jets Ravens @ Patriots - Ravens DIVISIONAL ROUND: Ravens @ Colts - Colts Jets @ Chargers - Chargers AFC CHAMPIONSHIP: Chargers @ Colts - Chargers SUPERBOWL: Chargers vs Vikings - Chargers 2009 NFL Champions: San Diego Chargers

That is night and day.

If your asking who I want to stay and go, I would say to keep Toub only. However, I anticipate a free pass for Lovie and Angelo with Turner as the scapegoat. Angelo will point to "bringing in a Franchise QB" as his crowning achievement, and Lovie's defense will be key injuries to Urlacher and company. Forte was slowed all year, Harris was not 100%, etc, etc. I can see it now. I would be completely surprised if Lovie or Angelo were fired.

As much as this trade has flip-flopped throughout the season, it seems to be a draw at this point. The QB's performed fairly evenly less Cutler's interceptions. Ayers was pretty much a non-factor, especially for the 18th overall pick. Knox was obviously a complete surprise and made significant contributions as a rookie with over 1,400 All-purpose yards and 6 TDs. Both teams missed the playoffs, so there is no real winner yet. The Broncos do hold the Bears 1st rounder in next year's draft, but they traded their own 1st rounder to Seattle. Alphonso Smith, the player they traded their 2010 1st rounder for ended the season with 0 INTs and 14 tackles. Broncos 8-8 Orton 336-541, 3802 yds, 21 TD, 12 INT, 29 Sacks, Rushing 24-71 yds Ayers 18 Tackles, 0 Sacks Bears 7-9 Cutler 336-555, 3666 yds, 27 TD, 26 INT, 35 Sacks, Rushing 40-173 yds, 1 TD Knox 45-527 yds, 5 TD, KR - 32-927, 29.0 AVG, 1 TD

I like how you finish the play.
-
Forte seems to have lost a little burst. Hopefully he can return to form next year. Also, Bell has looked decent in limited action.

I've never seen it more than once, and I've never seen a Ref help a QB put his uniform back over his Shoulder pad like the ref did. That was crazy.

HOME Minnesota (11-4) Philadelphia (11-4) Green Bay (10-5) New England (10-5) NY Jets (8-7) Seattle (5-10) Washington (4-11) Detroit (2-13) AWAY Minnesota (11-4) Green Bay (10-5) Dallas (10-5) NY Giants (8-7) Miami (7-8) Carolina (7-8) Buffalo (5-10) Detroit (2-13) These games are assuming the NFL uses the same pattern they have used thru 2009. I used info from this site: http://www.johnnyroadtrip.com/schedules/nfl_future_nfcn.htm

I also enjoyed the play of Steltz. He was all around the ball and played decent in coverage. Very few players can make an open field tackle against a full speed Peterson.
-
I thought he was pointing/gesturing at the clock.
-
Yeah, just really one blown blocking scheme on the blitz that resulted in the sack. Other than that, a pretty solid night all around from the O-Line and TE's. If that was a normal game each week, I would take it compared to what we have seen this year. I also liked some of the traps, mis-directs, and pulls.

Jaworski knows a thing or two about INTs since he threw a ton as a mediocre QB. INTs are very subjective if you are trying to place blame. The stat is a QB stat so you could say every INT was Cutler's fault, and you would not be wrong. Now Jaworski said something like 22 out of Culter's other 25 INTs were his fault. Meaning that somehow he could determine based on film alone that Cutler made the mistake. However, he doesn't necessarily know the call, the route the receivers were supposed to run, etc. Just by watching the games, I would say about half (12-13) were all on Cutler. The other half were receiver faults or clear non-penalty calls.
-
I just meant that they will use Turner as the excuse, since he does the playcalling and not Lovie. That is why the offense was so bad, etc, etc. For the defense, they will blame injuries, etc. Lovie, unfortunately is not going anywhere.
-
Go figure. Also, Jared Allen (2 tackles, no sacks). Chris Williams should be getting a game ball with a happy ending for that one.
-
DO IT!
-
Jaworski said he looked back at all of Cutler's INTs and that 22 of 25 (before that one), was on him. For me, that is hard to believe. I know of at least 5-7 that were completely on the receivers or clear Pass Interference non-calls.
-
I still believe Turner is gone. Lovie is going to get several benefits of the doubt: 1. Injuries (Urlacher, etc), 2. O-Line, 3. New QB, 4. Young Receiving Corps, 5. Turner will be scapegoat
