  1. At this point, put the best team on the field. I'm just glad both QB's are getting a fair shot.
  2. So you won't be ready for 10-12 minutes or until fully cooked?
  3. Yeah, but Brady would never even had sniffed the field if it wasn't for Bledsoe getting injured.
  4. What is amazing is the transformation of Belicheat himself. He was a mediocre coach at best posting a 36-44 record with Cleveland with only one winning season in five years. He goes from that to the head coach of NE with a 91-37 record and 3 Super Bowls.

  6. I had a similar experience a few years ago and did exactly as you said, and it works. They didn't even give me a ticket, just told me to keep it down or they would be back.
  7. Didn't Hass catch everything as well? Just seems like the feel-good stories that accompany new draft picks. There is no way Lloyd just gets released, especially with Turner there. He will get every opportunity to stick around.
  8. Knightni, Once again thanks for the hard work organizing this with all the write-ups. Which players listed spent the least time playing for Chicago? Suggestion for next poll: Do the same thing with all the Chicago sports teams (by sport/position). Example: All-time Chicago Basketball team (C, PF,SF, PG, SG). Each ballot selects one for each position. All-time Chicago Football team (QB, RB, FB, WR, TE, etc, etc) Do offense, then defense, then special teams. All-time Chicago Baseball team (Sox and Cubs) All-time Chicago Hockey team (G, D, D, RW, LW, C) I don't know how hard that would be, but there would be some interesting battles (Middle Linebacker, Cubs vs Sox).
  9. This year seems to be the only year they could move him for something, but I would wait until a team comes calling during training camp. Someone always gets hurt. If the Bears want to move him next year, more than likely they would cut him due to his salary. I don't think any team would want to take that salary on for a Nickelback.
  10. Pix, Sign me up. As long as the draft is on the weekend or at night I am good for the live draft.
  11. Wow, they can't even spell his name correct. He probably thought mph were kph since it was a BMW.
  12. Urlacher was expected, but Benson. Does this push him down the charts? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?i...ce=NFLHeadlines Also, Orton received majority of the reps with the 1st team: More on Benson: http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2008/05/ot...sing_bears.html

    RB for 2008

Punters and Kickers revolt over balta's exclusionary comments. Hey, they are players too.
  14. Grossman doesn't have that good internal clock. I would rather see him just throw it away half the time instead of forcing it. That would seriously solve a lot of his issues. Also, they need to do more quick sets and 3 step drops with timing patterns. He gets in trouble when he is just sitting back there looking for the 3rd and 4th option. This has a lot to do with the receivers as well. Moose was not very good last year. Like I said before, this is Grossman's last shot with the Bears. He has a one year tryout, and if he can come in and be a league average QB with some consistency, he will stick around. If not, he will not be on the Bears in 2009.
  15. That's awesome. That is all Benson needs right now is some "calming influence".
  16. I don't know how much weaker than Moose/Berrian you can get. It is probably more of a wash with Booker/Bradley/Bennett.
  17. Your right DB, there is so much mediocrity amongst average teams. From one year to the next we see teams go from 5-11 to 9-7 and back. There are only a handful that are almost guaranteed to be there year in and year out. The one thing that will be interesting to see is NE's "year after losing the Super Bowl" season. Everytime a team loses the big game, they bring up how bad they do the next year. So lets see if that theory holds true with them.
  18. This is just a bad PR move by Urlacher. He is not only tarnishing his own legacy, but also making the Bears front office look like they don't take care of their own. If this goes on for awhile, people are going to start bringing up the selfish player stereotype. Singletary, Butkus, did they ask for new contracts with 4 years left on their current ones? Even if they were playing today, they would never do that. That is just what type of people they were. Obvioulsy Brian doesn't belong with them. As a player maybe, but thats about it.
  19. TD passes- Grossman (22) TD runs- Benson (7) TD receptions- Booker (6) Rush yards- Benson (920) Receiving yards- Booker (850) Pass yards- Grossman (3050) Tackles- Briggs (135) Interceptions- Tillman (6) Forced Fumbles- Brown (5) Sacks- OGun (12)
  20. Bill Williamson? An expert ranking the Bears 29th? They finished 7-9 with all those injuries and easily could've won 3-4 of those losses with a decimated defense. Some "experts" ad the Raiders ranked higher than the Bears, hilarious.

    Greg Olsen

Shockey comparable to Olsen their rookie years? No way. Shockey had 74 receptions for 894 yards while Olsen only had 39 for 391. The only thing they had in common was 2 TDs each. Either way, Olsen was solid as a #2 TE. If he moves into the #1 role, he will easily get 50+ receptions and 600+ yards, which would be some of the best production out of the TE position in a long time.
