  1. You answered everything to a "t". Ryan would be your pick of the group if he was available, even if it is an extreme longshot. Then if Ryan/Clady are gone you would take Albert over Otah/Williams/Mendenhall/Stewart. So the next question is (to everyone), what does your big board look like if you are JA? Regardless if they will be there or not at 14, list your top 15 picks based on the Bears current team needs. Is Jake Long #1 on your big board? Where is McFadden, etc.
  2. I will be happy if we finish the first round by the time the draft starts. DB is alive, I see him....... Pick coming.......
  3. There are some guys that have about a 0.00001% of falling to us at 14, and would have to be convicted of some Pacman crime to get there. So I just took those guys out while still including a couple of long shots. The point was, if Clady, Ryan, and Mendenhall are there at 14, who would you take? Now if you believe there is no chance in hell that either will be there, then excluding them, who is your next pick?
  4. 3 out of the last 4 at home, and two warm weather teams (JAX/NO).
  5. Maybe a better way to ask it is how would you rank these players on the Bears draft board, regardless of the odds that they will be there at #14? That takes the guessing out of who you would pick.
  6. So if all things were equal, and you could choose one player at #14, who is it and why? Which Offensive Lineman fits the Bears the best? Would RB or WR be the best choice? Who is the best available at #14? I understand that ALL of them would not be available at #14, but more than likely a combination of them will be.
  7. This year, the Cowboys have the luxury of two late 1st round draft picks. This gives them some flexibility with their selections. Seeing that their WR corps is rapidly aging with TO and Terry Glenn. The Cowboys see a nice fit with a player who fell to them at #22. With the 22nd pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Limas Sweed, Wide Receiver, Texas. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Drunkbomber are on the clock........
  8. Since some of their other targets have already been selected (Devin Thomas - WR) and with the recent run on CB's, the Eagles pick comes down to OT and S. With the draft being fairly deep for OL picks, the Eagles look to improve on the defensive side of the ball with one of the best players available. With the 19th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Kenny Phillips, Safety, from University of Miami (FL). The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pixote are now on the clock............. 9. I think it has been over 24 hours since the last pick, so I am going to wait until lunch tomorrow to post mine. Hopefully that will be enough time for DabearsDabomb to get his in.
  10. I think if anyone is there that teams would trade up to get, it would be Ryan or Mendenhall.
  11. Balta, I don't think it necessarily means you are rebuilding immediately. It depends on the team. The Bears have serious question marks at QB as well as other positions. If Ryan is sitting there at 14 and all the top OL and RBs are off the board, then Ryan would have to be considered. Otherwise, look for a team wanting Ryan and trade down.
  12. Go with #1. $200 less plus it is 1080p. You can use the savings to buy a Blu-Ray player or sound system.
  13. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Au.2...p&type=lgns Just gotta laugh.
  14. I would sign him to Freeney money, but the deal would need to be cap friendly for at least a portion of the deal. The Bears have been pretty creative with their contracts recently. Also, I believe the Bears are still in their playoff window for the next few years. They need to do whatever they can to retain the solid corps of players they have.
  15. Already a couple of interesting picks.
  16. However, when you look at draft picks and certain positions, some are more valuable than others.
  17. I was kind of shocked to see this today. Normally the "faces" of the franchise don't act like this. Hell, Brady took a pay cut (or at least restructured his deal) for the team. Why would the Bears extend someone with so many years remaining on his contract? There has to be more to this. Maybe he was upset that the team even considered moving him to the outside? I dunno, this just seems sort of odd coming from him.
  18. Sorry guys, comp problems, back up now. With the second pick in the 2008 NFL draft, the St. Louis Rams select Chris Long, Defensive End, from Virginia. Ashkum Bear and the Atlanta Falcons are now on the clock........
  19. If you need me to take another team, I will take Philly. Also, NeoBear asked for the Pats.
  20. In the top picture he almost looks like "Frank the Tank"! LOL. They need to do a skit about him on SNL now. "Fu%4 the playbook, pass the beer bong" Jokes aside, he does need to mature as a person. He is killing opportunities. Just think of how many marketing opps he is losing out on other than beer commercials.
  21. We will be lucky to get into the 2nd round.
  22. If you need me to take a 2nd team, I'll take DAL. I assume this will only be a 1st Round Mock with only 22 days left until the draft. If so, you can remove Cleveland and Indianapolis since they don't have 1st round picks. Also, Balta, it may be easier to fill it in by slot: 1 Miami Dolphins - 2 St. Louis Rams - The Prophet 3 Atlanta Falcons - 4 Oakland Raiders - 5 Kansas City Chiefs - 6 New York Jets - Soxfan1 7 New England Patriots - 8 Baltimore Ravens - MadLithuanian 9 Cincinnati Bengals - 10 New Orleans Saints - 11 Buffalo Bills - Balta1701-A 12 Denver Broncos - 13 Carolina Panthers - 14 Chicago Bears - Hester 3:16 15 Detroit Lions - 16 Arizona Cardinals - 17 Minnesota Vikings - 18 Houston Texans - 19 Philadelphia Eagles - 20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 21 Washington Redskins - 22 Dallas Cowboys - 23 Pittsburgh Steelers - 24 Tennessee Titans - 25 Seattle Seahawks - 26 Jacksonville Jaguars - 27 San Diego Chargers - 28 Dallas Cowboys - 29 San Francisco 49ers - 30 Green Bay Packers - 31 New York Giants -
