Jason, I see your point, but teams have much more information available to them than the general public. It is much easier to be an armchair GM. You don't think Kromer knows more about Bushrod and his value than we do? PFF said he was barely better than Webb last year, but I have to believe that he will be closer to being a Pro-Bowler/All-Pro level player than a replacement level player this season.

I know you have not been high on Bushrod, but I believe he is better than his PFF ratings properly show. Kromer knows better than anyone how good he is, and by picking him up, Kromer is putting his name on the line that this guy is a legit LT. If we pickup a Guard in the first 2 rounds, the O-Line will almost be considered a strength vs a huge liability.

It shows he has no guaranteed or dead money, so the cap savings would be $2,350,000 for this year. Robbie Gould is a possible extension candidate with him owed $2.9 for this year.

The Pats use Gronk and Hernandez pretty effectively, even with Welker getting a ton of targets. So I see Bennett as the primary TE, and Rodriquez getting moved around a lot. For Bennett on the Cowboys, he was stuck behind the Romo Witten love fest.

Wow, you got the positions spot on, but the players wrong. Really close, and the $7 cap hit is almost the average annual salary for Bushrod, so you were sort of correct there as well. Looks like Bennett got 4/20, so again, pretty close, about 1.25 million off per year. The combined cap hit for this year is under $6 though, so that is nice. Nice work Terra.

Looks like GB is hot on Steven Jackson, that would be a huge upgrade over what they've had recently.

True, but I almost like Bennett more than Olsen at this point. Bennett is 2 years younger, slightly bigger, and I believe he is a better blocker.

If Bushrod's is only 3 mil, then Bennett's should be less than that. So I suspect both cap hits will be under $5.

Bush was also 15th in the league for RB's in Rushing 1st Downs (28). Forte was 10th with 45. I believe that Bush compliments Forte pretty well, but don't think they were both used to the best of their abilities last year. Hopefully Trestman and Kromer can get more out of them.

This looks like it could work out great for both teams or fail miserably. Seattle could get the last piece they need to be a truly potent offense and improve their return game while Minnesota frees some cap space and gets an extra first round pick. On the flip side, Harvin might not work in Seattle, especially with his salary demands, and there already seems to be some issues in Minnesota with key players questioning the move.
