Can we afford to put more money into mediocre runners? He has never played a full season over 5 years. I would pass unless it was something really cheap.
-
The 3rd best of the unknown Safeties maybe.
-
It wasn't you specifically, just in general. I didn't think it was a big deal either, especially when the thread didn't seem to have anything to do with the Bears.
-
I hope JA makes effective use of the cap and doesn't leave some large amount unspent.
-
I am surprised moving a single thread has generated so much strife. I barely see that as "moderating". I could see if Balta was editing posts or deleting them, but moving a thread does not seem like a big deal. I guess it is a matter of personal preference. It boils down to the forums and how they are used. I posted the same thing in the sticky thread. If we are going to have subforums, we need to use them. If we don't want or need them, we should remove them and only have the main forum. Right now we are in the middle and things like this will continue to occur.
-
All in all, those are some team-friendly deals. Even the Briggs signing wasn't as much as what people expected. Now we need a solid draft and maybe some post-June 1st cut pickups.
-
Then the best thing to do it is delete the NFL sub-forum and post everything NFL in the main forum. Otherwise this is going to be a recurring theme. Either use the sub-forums for what they were intended for, or don't use them at all and have everything in the main forum. Right now we are right in the middle.

If some team is going to give him more than what the Bears offer, let them.
-
That's what I was saying about someone falling into our laps. Every year someone falls out of the top ten into the teens. Hopefully this year it happens to be someone we need. I would hate to see Clady go to Denver, then Mendenhall go to Carolina right in front of us, but those wins at the end of the season sure were nice.

One more WR off the market. http://blogs.tampabay.com/bucs/2008/03/bucs-sign-wr-an.html http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...971&id=2117

It also comes down to the play calling as well. The Bears telegraph too many of their plays. A solid O-line with some aggressive play calling makes RBs and QBs much better. If Rex can just play pitch and catch, he is pretty damn good, but when he can't even get to a 3 step drop before having to bring the ball down, something is wrong. If Benson gets through the DL, he normally has some pretty good runs. The problem was he was almost always hit at or near the LOS.
-
No, but it is borderline. If you are not outside all day, then it is no big deal.
-
Yeah, that is ridiculous.
-
If the Bears did go with Mendenhall, hopefully they would trade Benson, then also move up into the 2nd round to get a 2nd pick. I would not mind getting Mendenhall + 2 2nd round OLinemen. That would be the only way.
-
Why would the Cowboys trade 22 AND 28 to move only to 14? That value should get them into the Top 10. If Dallas trades anything, it would be 22 and their 2nd Rounder (61) and maybe a 5th for 14. That would give the Bears the following picks in the first 3 rounds: 22 44 61 76 91 They could then take one of their 5th rounders and try to move up a couple spots in the 3rd. I also agree with nfo, we need to trade down unless someone completely falls into our laps at 14.

Is this another Brandon Lloyd or the same one in the sticky post at the top? Either way, this is really nothing more than competition for Bradley and Davis. Someone needs to step up.
-
http://www.nfl.com/freeagency/story?id=090...mp;confirm=true I know it was posted in another thread, but I was just curious to see who everyone thinks the odd man out is Alexander or Morris?
-
Due to injury, Lloyd's 2007 was basically a wash. Now if you compare his first 4 years and Berrian's, they are pretty damn close: BB - 150 receptions, 2197 yards, 13 TDs, 14.6 AVG BL - 128 receptions, 1875 yards, 13 TDs, 14.6 AVG Also, like ostrogoth mentioned. Lloyd played for Turner at Illinois where Lloyd had back to back 1,000 yard receiving seasons in 2001 and 2002. So it seems like a pretty safe signing with some upside.
-
Thats the point. If everything is posted in the BearsTalk forum, then obviously nothing will get posted here. Also, it makes other posts drop off the first page faster when only one forum is used.
-
He is crying because he just realized how much money he is going to lose by not playing this year.
-
In that case, why have any other forums other than the main one? The Bears play in the NFC, so all NFC news is related to the Bears. The Bears play in the NFL, so all NFL news is related to the Bears. You can go on an on. It is better to break it down to the lowest level. If we are going to have subforums, they should be used appropriately. Only current Bears news (current players, etc) in the Bears forum, all other NFL info in the NFL forum. If you don't make it clear cut like that, then it will never work. Favre crying as Bears news? NFL Mock Drafts in the Bears forum?
-
Kinda odd. How much less was the Bears offer?
