Your absolutely right, and we ended up having a great draft anyway. Olsen is fast enough to exploit the seam in the Cover 2. That is going to open things up even more for Moose, Berrian, Bradley, and Davis.
Bears are getting two of the following, unless they trade down:
Greg Olsen, TE
Dwayne Jarrett, WR
Alan Branch, DT
Chris Houston, CB
Paul Posluszny, LB
DeMarcus Tyler, DT
David Harris, LB
Justin Blalock, OG
Anthony Gonzalez, WR
Tony Ugoh, OT
I cannot believe Branch has fallen this far. He has to be the most surprising fall this year. Someone is going to get a steal this late in the draft. He would be great in the Bears rotation.
Only 4 picks before the Bears, then another 5 before their 2nd pick. It is looking more and more like the Bears will get 2 out of this group, which would be sweet.
11 picks until the Bears, some names still on the board:
Brady Quinn - QB
Dwayne Bowe - WR
Alan Branch - DT
Greg Olsen - TE
Robert Meachem - WR
Joe Staley - OT
Anthony Spencer - DE
Ben Grubbs - OG
Jon Beason - LB
Paul Posluszny - LB
Cleveland is probably 2-3 years away from competing, so they might as well lock in some cornerstone picks like Thomas.
Unless someone trades up, I think he is a lock for Miami, which would be a steal for them.
I just posted the final update for the Mock Draft Summary Thread.
Here is a summary of the most picked:
Player - Jon Beason - LB - Miami (26%)
Position - Linebacker - 38%
School - Miami - 36%
