  1. Duerson and Fencik = Brown and Archuleta?
  2. I can't wait to see Benson bowl over people this season. He always moves the pile.
  3. Game 1 pics posted: http://www.talkbears.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1304
  4. Is it possible? Yes, but to get 30+, he would have to average almost 2 TD's a game, and I don't think the Bears can win like that consistently. They are a run first team that plays great D. He will probably end up with 25-26 TDs. The way I see it, the new players will take away some of the opportunities from the other players (ie Olsen - Clark), especially in the Red Zone.
  5. They would be crazy not to resign Harris. I think it is more of a practice squad thing. They are probably not very impressed with one of the lower guys on the depth chart, and this guy was on their radar.
  6. I can't wait. The Super Bowl seems like a distant memory. On paper, this team is even better this year, so hopefully it translates to on field performance.
  7. Moose, Berrian, Bradley, and Davis + Olsen and Clark + Hester + Benson, Wolfe, and Peterson. Greg Oden still looks like his dad.
  8. Weird. They didn't list him on the NFL.com website: http://www.nfl.com/teams/depthcharts/CHI but he is listed at the Official site. 6 safeties would've been overkill and since the team places more emphasis on DL, this is a great move. I bet they liked what they got in Payne, and decided Harris was expendable.
  9. The only one I could argue with from the Top 7 would be NE. All the others have a single TE that is better or more established than any of ours, but our tandem/trio is probably the best depth-wise.
  10. Not really a huge move. I guess they feel like they have a solid enough core to make a move like this. The Bears still have 4 Safeties on the roster and they may pick up another one once the teams make their roster cuts. D. Manning, #38 K. Payne, #44 A. Archuleta, #20 M. Brown, #30
  11. Another Training Camp report from Yahoo Sports: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Aux....o&type=lgns
  12. Congrats to him. He should've won best game (Arizona), and best comeback.
  13. Oh! Everyone was saying how sweet it looked and all I had was a white background with text.
  14. In Firefox, there are no borders between each of the posts.
  15. I know there is no true correlation, but wouldn't it be odd if the Bears did work out an extension with Briggs while the White Sox traded Buehrle. One said he would never play for the team again, while the other said that is the only place he wants to be.
  16. Benson now has extra motivation to prove that he is a #1 back. I have a feeling he is going to explode and have a great season 1200+ rushing yards, 10 touchdowns.
  17. I love this compilation from Miami: http://youtube.com/watch?v=ThllglEsDZA
  18. The Bears have a really solid core of players on both sides of the ball, but as with all teams there is only a window of opportunity to make it to the Super Bowl. Teams like the Patriots, Cowboys, and Bills have been able to make it back to the SB with the same core multiple times. When do you guys think the Bears realistic shot is at making it back to the SB with this current core (Urlacher, Kruetz, Vasher, Harris, Tait, etc). Based on contracts, age, and such, I really believe the Bears have about 2 years, maybe 3 before there is a large turnover of players and the SB will be out of reach.
  19. Briggs is looking for guaranteed money, and no team including the Bears can pay every player top dollar like Briggs wants. Briggs has said he wants "Urlacher" money and he is not going to get it from the Bears. Even the Franchise tag salary is a lot more than he would receive if they renegotiated his contract. The only thing I could see other than him accepting the Franchise tag is if he signed a 3 yr deal that was cap friendly. Anything longer or higher in value would put the Bears in a tough position.
  20. When I said bigger, I meant just overall body mass. He is a few inches shorter but weighs more, so he is bigger than Jones. Jones was faster at the combine, but I thought Olsen ran a 4.45 somewhere. Either way, I think he has a really high ceiling. I just saw a few more video clips of him at Miami, and he seems to catch anything thrown near him.
  21. Olsen has been compared a lot to Matt Jones of JAX, just bigger and better. I hope that is the case. With Lovie's knowledge of the Cover 2, I can see him exploiting the weakness with Olsen.
  22. I didn't even realize that Olsen was the 1st pick to sign from both the 1st and 2nd rounds.
  23. Man, the Bears management is spoiling us with these signings. Now we almost expect all our players to always sign before training camp. This is great news. Signing a Ro$enhaus 1st round draft pick to a 5 year deal this early is amazing.
