Another one of those punches in the gut, Penix gets his first start, wins by 27. Team scored 34 points. What you don't see are the 2 defensive TDs accounting for 14 of the teams points. Penix had 202 yards passing, 0 TD, and 1 INT but won lol.

AG, just because someone has a label, that should not require them to exceed all others if the situations are not the same. People also forget that Williams is a year younger than both Daniels and Nix. So a younger QB in a complete mess of a team and situation. So it is hard to use wins as a metric when the other 52 players have done nothing. Williams now has 3,271 Passing Yards, 19 TD, 5 INT Daniels (The ORoY) has 3,302 Passing Yards, 22 TD, 8 INT Nix has 3,235 Passing Yards, 22 TD, 11 INT So Daniels has 31 more passing yards than Williams, both Daniels and Nix have 3 more TD passes, but Williams has 6 fewer INTs than Nix and 3 less than Daniels with more passing attempts. The Bears defense has allowed 30 pts in 3 out of the last 4 games. Williams can break the franchise passing record with 568 yards in the last 2 weeks (284/g). Williams 3,271 is the most by a Bears QB since Jay Cutler's 3,659 in 2015. He has exceeded every season by Trubisky and Fields in 15 games.

CAR winning sucks, they will probably end up with a worse pick than the Bears the way this is going. 7. CAR 4-11 8. NYJ 4-11 9. CHI 4-11 10. NO 5-9 In this scenario, the picks would rotate so the Bears would get the 2nd and 3rd picks of the 4-11 teams in the 2nd round. So #9, #40, and #41 (CAR)

Edmunds is playing terrible. Owens and Stevenson are huge liabilities in coverage. You can't have that many gaping holes with 11 players. They really need to go with Edwards and Sanborn, put Smith in and Stevenson, and a tackling dummy instead of Owens.
-
Owens is a terrible Safety, he has accounted for at least 2.5 TDs against which is the difference in the game.
-
Refs are bullshit as well. Pryor literally rocked 2 inches and they called false start, yet the KC RT can move a whole second before the snap and it's not a false start.
-
Allen over 100 yards receiving for the first time this year.
-
Caleb with another 300-yard game, the most passing yards of any rookie this season, but Daniels is the OROY?
-
How do you drop 7 yet St. Brown is wide open? It is mind boggling how bad this defense is, and Edmunds is brutal for the money.
-
At least Caleb came to play, 198 yards and now 2 TDs, scored in 19 seconds for 70 yards. Crazy how throwing downfield works.
-
27-7. Can you imagine how Caleb and his family feels? Oh man. If they don't turn this around this offseason, I could easily see him not signing an extension with the Bears. Which would be the most Bears thing ever. Get your first true long term franchise QB in the draft and you are so bad that he won't resign with you.
-
How do you jump offsides on a 4th and 1 knowing they are going with the hard count? The entire stadium knew but not the players. Some of the dumbest and least disciplined players in the league. Great job Poles. Adding insult to injury Carolina is winning 20-10 against the Cardinals, a team that destroyed the Bears a few weeks ago.
-
This defense man, unbelievable, allowing a 82-yard TD pass. The Bears can't get a 20-yard play. It is just comical at this point.
-
Caleb Williams just hit 3K passing yards, first QB to do it for the Bears since Trubisky 3,009 Passing Yards.
-
The Bears are the worst team in the league, and it's not really close. There is no way they are beating the Seahawks or Packers. This team is finishing 4-13 with 11 straight losses. If that occurs, you have to fire Poles. He would've been the architect of a roster that lost 11 straight games twice in 3 seasons.
-
Bears get positive run, holding.
-
The defense playing like the worst unit in football also doesn't help the offense. I know the offense isn't do them any favors, but allowing points on every drive makes the offense one dimensional an easier to defend.
-
There are so many players you need to purge from this roster. Geez. Now our 1st round draft pick has 2 fumbles on 2 touches, unbelievable. At least we are not losing by the biggest margin. WAS is down 14-0.

I love Campbell as a motivator, but I think he is average at best for in game management. I mean, if you are going to go for it on EVERY 4th Down, that's not really management. Like the onside kick, even if they got it somehow, that was still a dumb decision. I think the Lions will look vastly different when they have a different OC and DC next year. They will still be good because the roster is stacked, but I think they will be more of a 9 to 10 win team that is at the WC level compared to where they are now.

So for anyone thinking Williams and Nix are close, look no further than CAY (Completed Air Yards). Against LAC last night, Nix had 0.8 CAY before the last garbage time drive with less than 1 min left. He ended with a 1.1. The week prior he had 1.2. That means his average completion went 1.2 yards beyond the LOS. Having a low CAY is not necessary bad, Mahomes averages 4.0, but when it's that low, it's a red flag for sure. Mac Jones averages the lowest in the NFL at 3.6. So in the last two games Nix has 2 of the 3 lowest games on the year of any QB in any game. Rush has the lowest at 0.9. So again, not all stats are created equal. Nix stat line looks great, 263 yards passing, 2 TD, 106.6 Rating, 63.1 QBR, but 90% of his stats were his teammates and the scheme. Oh, and his team lost to another winning team. Nix has never beaten a team with a winning record. Even with only 4 wins, Williams at least beat LAR.

I love the guy in motion on the punt. Even if you still punt it, that would take my attention away for a sec.

If you really take a step back and just look at how the Bears have lost since the double doink, it is almost beyond belief. The first game after the Double Doink is in the NFL's 100th Season Game against GB at home, the Bears lose 10-3. They lose because Trubisky throws an INT with 2 mins left in the end zone to Adrian Amos who the Bears did not resign that offseason. Then their next loss is in the UK by 3 to the Raiders where they literally cut Kyle Long out of the blue after one bad game. That was the Chase Daniel game where he also threw an INT with 1:22 left when the Bears had 2nd down at the OAK 47 and 2 timeouts, down by 3. A few games later they lose to the Chargers by one after Pineiro misses a 41-yarder to win it. Then in the 2nd game against GB, the Bears had the ball inside the GB territory twice in the last 5 minutes of the game and didn't score a single point to lose by one score. Even when they get lucky, something crazy happens. They lose the last game of the season, but still back into the playoffs at 8-8, then in the game, Trubisky has one of his best throws of all-time and Wims drops it in the end zone, then later punches a player and gets ejected the game. It was wild.
-
The Bears should win, this is a good chunk of the Lions 2nd and 3rd stringers, but it's the Bears, they literally find a new way to lose every week.

Thru 14 games, this is where Caleb ranks amongst qualified QBs: 2nd INT% 4th 10+ Yard Rushes (QB) 6th QB Pressure Rate 7th Attempts 7th Rushing Yards (QB) 13th Completions T-15th TD Passes 19th Passing Yards 23rd Passer Rating 26th QBR 26th EPA/DB 29th PFF 29th Comp% 29th CPOE 34th Sacks (last) 40th NFELO I would have hoped his QBR and Comp% was a little higher and he had a few less sacks. He has 3 more games to improve on some of these numbers. I was hoping for one more big game from him to push him ahead of Daniels and Nix.
