Bears looking to get the 6th overall pick..
That's probably it... if they couldn't find a taker for the pick, they don't want to give whomever they wound up selecting $12-15 million in bonuses.

Bears looking to get the 6th overall pick..
I agree... even if we don't get anything else, I'm happy with the initial offer.

Bears looking to get the 6th overall pick..
Doesn't seem that way does it? I know what you're talking about. They sign 3-5 players to HUGE money deals EVERY season.

Bears looking to get the 6th overall pick..
Actually sounds like a bad deal for the Skins... but what else is new. They've been putting together bad contracts for years.

Bears looking to get the 6th overall pick..
He's got Russell going 1, Quinn 2nd, Peterson 3rd, Calvin Johnson 4th and Thomas 5th.

Bears looking to get the 6th overall pick..
Kiper's mock on Insider is getting interesting... He now has Quinn going 2nd and Thomas falling down to #5. If we were to get this pick, Thomas could definitely be a possibility if Quinn goes 2nd. Other then that happening though, I don't think we'd be keeping the pick.

Bears looking to get the 6th overall pick..
I'd wait a day or two guys, it might just be a bargaining ploy. I did hear on Sportcenter earlier that Angelo did NOT appreciate that the news of the exact offer was released to the public. But I do agree if this deal was offered and it does not happen, Angelo needs to get his head checked.

Bears get Arch...
Did anybody happen to catch any of the conference call yesterday with Arch? There was a bit of an awkward moment when they asked him if he would be starting. He never heard anything from Lovie or Angelo that made him think he wouldn't be starting so the writing may be on the wall for Brown.

Bears get Arch...
While his play last season worries me, we didn't give up much for him and he knows and has thrived in Lovie's scheme. Good work Angelo!

Definitely... good luck in the Big Apple buddy!

Cato June
Talk about a wasted talent... people were comparing him to Lawrence Taylor on draft day.
-
Cato June
Cato June isn't close to Briggs? 142 tackes and 2 picks last year isn't good enough?

Ian Scott
Boone is a free agent too correct?

Mock Draft Summary Thread
I seem to remember a lot of experts gushing over Mike Williams. Wasn't just Kiper.

You mentioned nothing from ESPN... Kiper's mock has the Bears taking Sears. Just realized it's an insider article.

Briggs Skipping Pro Bowl
Just like to add to the conversation here that it'll cost $7.206 million to franchise tag Briggs. link Not sure he's worth that. We will be able to pick up a capable outside linebacker for half that price, maybe even less.

David Carr?
What does everyone think of Jake Delhomme? During the season, it was rumored he was on his way out and Carolina was going to sign/draft a new, younger QB. I also just read the same thing on si.com.

My take on those only blaming Rex... you're just jealous!

Sick bastard.

But the Colts ability to control the clock ALL NIGHT really made the difference. We never got into any type of rhythm offensively because the defense couldn't stop the Colts on 3rd down. Of course I blame the offense but the defense's inability to get those stuffs and stop those sideline routes REALLY hurt.

Ben Wallace also had another one of those "I can't rebound tonight" nights.
