Ok, who is the Superstar and who is not? Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Donte Stallsworth, Plaxico Burress, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Chris Chambers, Terrell Owens, Donald Driver, Greg Jennings, Hines Ward, Bobby Engram While they may not all qualify for Superstar status by being in the top ten this year, this is not a pedestrian group of wide recievers.
-
If you want a superstar WR, you have to take the good with the bad. Although, I cannot recall hearing CJ complaining much the last two years, and the Bengals have had some dreadful problems with the team in the past 2 seasons. Lets also keep in mind that Chad Johnson isnt available unless the Bengals say he is available, no matter how much he complains

Since this works so well at Soxtalk, i figured i would start a thread here for the same purpose. If you feel that something is discussion-worthy, but dont feel like starting a new thread, post it here. Maybe a Mod can sticky this at the top of the page. The reason i started the thread is because I heard Moose on the Score yesterday during an update, and he didnt sound like he thought he was coming back to the Bears. The one quote that jumped out at me was when he said: "If the Bears want to sign someone younger and go in a different direction, Im sure I can get another job somewhere else" (not verbatim) Good riddance, the guy thinks way too highly of himself and how he fits in this team.
-
He must be doing something right, he gets paid pretty good to be a D-bag I understand what you are saying, many people say similar things about Lunardi during the weeks leading up to March Madness with his bracketology, but these guys cant be wrong too often to be in the positions that they are in right now. Every mock draft is a crapshoot full of opinions, it just depends on whose opinion you deem to be trustworthy
-
Where do you play? My team plays out in Melas Park in Arlington Heights, and our league starts around the same time
-
The guy may be a d-bag, but he made himself a name out of nothing and he is usually on the money with his picks
-
Redskins fire assistants, Saunders, Williams gone

Hiring DCs and OCs before a Head Coach is a strange practice. Head Coaches usually like to pick their own guys -
Who did that?
-
See? You agree, it is over-one. Sure, I was overdramatic, but I still know that I would have been better off listening to everyone drone on about Favre over "New York vs Boston part 300". We know you guys are rivals, the history isnt lost because it isnt mentioned every minute. It doesnt matter, I think either Green Bay or New York would both get waxed in the superbowl anyways. And I also cannot stand to see Eli's dumb look. I know he looks like that, but he just looks like he would sound like Billy Bob Thornton in "Slingblade" if he opened his mouth.
-
Why is that? The New York/Boston media circus is old and tired, and I am sick of hearing about it. Every major media company(specifically ESPN) is ridiculous whenever these two cities meet in any sporting event. I will just be glad when the season is over for good
-
I dont know, I think I would rather spend the next 2 weeks hearing about Favre's resurgence rather than hearing OMGZ!!!!!!1111!!!! ITS NEW YORK VERSUS BOSTON AGAIN!!!!111!!!! THISN IS SO GREAT, LETS RUN ALL OF THE YANKEE/BOSOX PLAYOFF GAMES THAT EVER PLAYED IN SUCCESSION, THEN LISTEN TO WHAT JONATHAN PAPELBON HAS TO SAY ABOUT THIS HISTORIC MATCHUP!!!!

Norm Chow to call plays for UCLA
-
LOL, no name for a wide reciever, just "one of the hawaii recievers".
-
I could have sworn that SIU QB Nick Hill was going to play in this game. Is there another college "all-star" game?
-
Dont the teams that travel to England get the next week as a bye week?
-
Berrian isnt worth a 1st round pick. That being said, if they offered it, GOODBYE BERRIAN
-
I wouldnt mind seeing Norm Chow replace Pep Hamilton as the QB coach. He is pretty good at developing pocket QBs, I think he was a little out of his element with Vince Youngs abilities and strengths (running more than throwing).
-
I would be furious with Angelo if he traded that much to move up 10 spots in the draft. Stop drinking moonshine while posting please
-
I wouldnt be really shocked to see them give Leftwich a one year shot while the QB that they draft learns the system or takes the job from Leftwich.
-
The price also depends on how bad Cincinatti wants to get rid of Johnson. Look at how much it took Philadelphia to get Terrell Owens, who was undoubtedly the best wide reciever in the NFL at the time, from San Francisco and Baltimore: http://www2.sportsnet.ca/football/nfl/players/Terrell_Owens/ Is there a doubt in your mind that Terrell Owens would be worth more than Brandon Whiting and a 5th round pick, either in 2004 or now? This was one hell of a steal by Philadelphia who were happy to play along with Terrell Owens "silly antics" to get himself untraded from the Baltimore Ravens(how ironic that those same silly antics almost destroyed the Eagles lockerroom). If Chad Johnson starts pitching fits and going on the same sort of media blitz that Terrell Owens did (when he assured everyone that he was going to philly), Ocho Cinco may be had for considerably less than you might think.
-
Its amazing that Sayers only had 7 years in the NFL, and 2 of those years he only played in 2 games.
-
How is that possible? When the Bears released him, there were many that felt he would never play again due to the nerve damage in his knee and lower leg. His knee injury in St louis was horrific, Im surprised he is able to walk, much less play offensive line.
-
If Arthur Blank goes this route again, and it blows up in his face again(which is very likely), I will no longer have any pity for him and the Michael Vick repurcussions he is dealing with. He is just throwing his money at these college coaches who are just grinning and waiting for other college jobs to open up while they cash their checks
-
Its called dreaming about something that didnt happen, not extrapolation. The offense sucked. The record reflected that, so did the rankings compiled. Crowton sucked as an OC, and he sucked as a HC in college when he left.
-
Oh yes, now that you say that it makes perfect sense. If it hadnt been for the turnovers, fumbles, and lack of scoring, Gary Crowtons offense would have been great because they got a lot of yardage.
